The chowder is great…4 flavors to choose from and all gluten free. The bread served with it is not gluten free. Chowder has a nice amount of real, fresh seafood. Lots of crab meat in mine that was claw crab meat.
The ice cream was not good. Not good because there is xanthan gum in it. There’s no reason to put gums in ice cream. To me cheap ice cream has gums. Gums suck up liquid. So the ice team ends up with a dry feel/texture. I had an ice cream bar and it felt warm and dry . Yes it didn’t drip on me, but good ice cream drips as it melts. I looked at the ingredient list on the other ice cream in the to go freezer, and they had gums. So I didn’t get more ice cream when I went back the next day. That said, if you like gum ice cream, they do have interesting flavors. Be prepared to spend $7 for a scoop.
A hidden gem with a retro vibe, stunning views, and a menu packed with fresh, homemade goodness that keeps folks coming back for more.

For 5 years I have been unable to enjoy bread like I used to since chemo ruined gluten for me. I had read that true sourdough bread breaks down the gluten and since I am not celiac, I decided to give it a try. Cue the happy dance! I found Wolfmoon at the Manzanita Farmers Market and bought a loaf of their bread. It has been over a month of buying their bread every week since. No more disgusting gluten free bread with all of the unhealthy ingredients to make them palatable. Yes, the bread is expensive compared to regular bread at the store (not compared to gluten free bread) but IMO it is worth it to have a little piece of heaven back into my life. I highly recommend that you try their bread if you are gluten sensitive. You will not be sorry!

At the the Oregon coast a lack of servers and cooks makes it hard to serve a meal in a timely manner especially when the food is made fresh. Still my husband and I shared a wonderful gluten free pizza. It was delicious and the crust was perfect. We sat outside and the view of the Nehalem River north was absolutely beautiful. The view to the south is nice but different.
