I always have a lovely time here but writing this review to shout out our lovely sever Ariana. She was such a light and her energy made the experience that much better. The shrimp & grits is great and my friend who has a gluten allergy never has to worry when she comes here. 10 out of 10 will recommend.

We were searching for a place where they have gluten free pizza on Friday night. My husband suggested this place. We ordered a gluten pizza and 1/2 pie pizza. the receipt said “it’ll be ready in 55 min” which is surprising but we understood because we ordered around dinner time (8:45 pm). We arrived to pick up our order and the hostess told us that we have to wait 5-10 minutes more. Finally we got our pizza, arrived home pretty hungry and when we open the pizza box, the pizza looked pretty awful. We tried to eat it but literally was like the bottom of a shoe. The crust was hard, the ingredients were overcooked and with no flavor. It seemed like an old pizza. We waited so much time (1 hour 25 minute’s) for having a not so pleasant dinner. We waisted $50. We do not know how this place has 4.5 reviews, it hasn’t deserved it. Advice, if you want to eat pizza late, search for another place or buy a quick one in HEB that way you don’t have big expectations.

While Poke-Poke doesn't have an official gluten free menu, they were very accommodating to my dietary needs. With celiac disease, cross contamination is a big issue, but the staff at Poke-Poke took my needs seriously which was greatly appreciated. I got the OG Poke bowl, 16oz Hawaiian style, no soy sauce, and added jalapeños and avocado. It was AMAZING 🤤 I can't wait to go back

I got home with my to-go order and immediately saw they’d made several mistakes on my order. I was all ready to fire off a bad review. Then I bit into my chicharron taco. Well, let me tell you, not fully redeemed, but it was so good. That taco alone deserves 5 stars. Service 2 stars. The lamb barbacoa sounded like a good idea, but it did not taste as good as I would have hoped. I’d like to see their process improved for online order pick up, and they should clearly read the order (flour or corn tortilla matters to my friend who doesn’t eat gluten) and then verify. I’ll be back for another try and hope the service is better.
