Such a charming spot. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about gluten free/celiac options. The owner came out to speak to us - it’s so nice to find small businesses like this that you can tell love what they are doing. Can’t wait to come back!

Brace yourself for a wild ride: I fully expect the hotel owner to fire back at this review, but check my profile before you dismiss this critique because I'm fair-minded with plenty of reviews, and this is not a one sided situation, I am a professional on a team retreat, the last thing I'm going to do is be rude, disrespectful, or overly complicated because I don't want my team criticizing me.
The woman, possibly the owner, treated me terribly. First off, I dared to ask if a gluten-free bagel could be toasted and my coffee reheated. She scoffed at me, said it was "ridiculous" and acted like I just asked her to climb Everest. When I inquired about a savory breakfast option and offered to pay, she again, scoffed and looked at me like I asked her to to a juggling act.
But wait, it gets even worse. During a meeting, she walks in, spotlights me in front of a silent audience and says "I need to talk to you." She then offered fried chicken or fish, and when I politely declined the fish and told her that I don't mind de-crusting the chicken (I am gluten sensitive, not intolerant) SHE LOSES IT, saying (in front of all my colleagues) that I'm complicated and that in all of her years working there that she has not experienced this, blah blah, and THEN continues to bring my work into it by saying something about the complications of my ordering must reflect my dynamic at work. I was so humiliated, this is not the limit to bad run ins with her but to save you time.
If you like comfy beds, good views, and snarky customer service, then this is the place for you!
