Discovered our new local.
Bacco Wine Bar and Garden Pizza which coexist in a quiet corner of Mullumbimby. We loved the stylish decor, relaxed atmosphere, friendly and helpful service and the food and wine we enjoyed were first class. We took a table inside near the bar but lovely garden tables were available with outdoor heaters to cosy up to.
I enjoyed the sangiovese and my wife the syrah by the glass whilst enjoying our selected cheeses and local salumi charcuterie board.
Our lovely hostess Niamh suggested we try a couple of freshly made cicchetti which were divine and sampled the amazing “special recipe” mulled wine. Great suggestions indeed.
We moved onto the truffle pizza with mushrooms and Parma ham on crispy gluten free base washed down with a superb recommended montepulciano wine from my parent’s home region of Abruzzo.
All in all a great night of unexpected delight and we will be back often I’m sure.
