On Christmas Day we went to De Gouverneur for dinner.
After some good stories it seemed worth it.
But we soon discovered that this was really bad, especially before Christmas where expectations are quite high.
Carpaccio stuck to the plate and dried out.
We are still waiting for the (Extra) basket of bread.
Frozen gluten-free bread.
Tuna was not fresh.
Ordered carpaccio without capers and still served it with capers.
Venison is a taste-sensitive product, but as a meat lover and connoisseur I left my plate and several at the table.
Normally I don't like writing reviews at all, but this really spoiled our Christmas Day evening a bit. There were people at the table who had to drive 2H and that is just painful.
I must say that the employees are service-oriented and we also had a round of drinks on the house, but that of course never outweighs the above.
In short, never again for us and I think for several people I spoke to outside.
