Fantastic place a little outside the hustle and bustle of unawatuna. It is very nice both inside the bookshop, but also in the garden outside. The food is good, they offer several options that are gluten free and vegan. The service is also incredibly pleasant. It can be highly recommended.

Gluten free pizza! Went here to have a few drinks and watch the sunset by the beach. My girlfriend has a gluten allergy so often had to be carefully what she eats and was craving pizza. To our surprise they had gluten free dough available and made her a lovely pizza. I also had a Thai red curry which was very nice also. If you want freshly prepared food to order, this is your spot. I am gluten intolerant and have a few allergies- they are happy to make to order! I had a delicious omelette. Hubby ordered the fruit salad from the dessert menu as it was a small serve compared with the fruit platter- it was still a massive bowl of very beautiful fresh fruit. He also had the veggie kotthu which he said was delicious (rasane). Americano coffee was good, strong. Service amazing. Super quiet and cool - away from the busy main centre. Superb value.
In summary, a perfect place for breakfast especially after the Lion Rock walk!

We stayed for one week and had the most wonderful time! The space is beautiful with a really relaxed vibe, and rooms were also very cute and clean. The food was amazing as well as the coffee. I am vegetarian and my friend is gluten intolerant and there were no problems at all with getting equally delicious food! The communal dinners were super good and a really good way to get to know the other guests.
We booked the surf and yoga package and loved both the surf lessons and the yoga sessions. The video analysis of the surf sessions was also very useful. There was a really nice and relaxed vibe at the camp, and Milan, Becci and the rest of the staff really made us feel at home. There was a nice mix of guests in terms of age etc and everyone was in general very friendly and easy to get to know. We really don’t have anything to complain about and we can’t wait to come back soon! Thank you Ocean Tribe for a truly fabulous week! 🫶

I don't understand the hype around this place. We came specifically because there were good reviews and you could pack your own breakfast. But we were completely disappointed, half of the ingredients were missing, the sandwich was thinly spread with guacamole and an egg on top and nothing else - very weak and tasteless gluten-free bread. The only plus was that the pancakes were tasty but also a little dry. For such a price it’s very bad, I wanted to give it 1, but for the pancakes it’s a 2 plus. There are plenty of places around where breakfast is tastier and cheaper. Me and my girlfriend didn't like it
