Our waiter, Paul, was absolutely amazing. I have a gluten allergy and he was able to tell me what did and didn’t have gluten, including sauces, and provided me with a gluten free BBQ sauce since none of their other BBQ sauces on the table are gluten free. He was extremely kind as well!

Me and my family rate ice cream places everywhere we go. There’s 5 of us and each of us rates the place out of 10 which means the total is out of 50. Every time we’ve gone to Florida we’ve gone to Main Street creamery and it’s gotten 50/50 every time. 10 points of that 50 were from my mom who cannot have any gluten or dairy which tells you that they REALLY know what they’re doing when it comes to ice cream. She says it’s the best ice cream she’s ever had. We love Main Street. I had to pick up a second MSC shirt because we adore them. If you’re ever in Sarasota Florida check them out cause you won’t regret it.

I don’t know what happened to this place!
We used to come here often because they had a great gluten-free burger (the OMG burger) and an excellent chicken milanesa with a nice arugula and cherry tomato salad.
Then suddenly, everything changed. One day we went back and the gluten-free bun was awful—dry and stale. The burger patty had no flavor and was completely dry, even though we ordered it medium. It honestly felt like they had changed the entire menu.
And what they still list as a “chicken milanesa” on the menu is no longer a milanesa. I’m honestly outraged. I ordered a milanesa, which means a breaded chicken cutlet, and what I got was a tiny piece of grilled chicken completely dry and flavorless.
I don’t know if they changed the owners or the chef, but what I do know is that I definitely won’t be coming back.

I am gluten free and dairy free, so an “ice cream cone” for me is rare! But Alonso homemakes all the gelato flavors from scratch using fresh ingredients - nothing artificial is their claim. In addition to the 15 or so diary flavors, he also offers not 1 (like most places do) but 6 dairy free options, including my favorite “Chocolate!” The cones are all gluten free. They make some dipped in dairy free chocolate and jimmies for a truly luxurious experience! Every time I walk by or enter, I see Alonso serving up his treats with a friendly smile. Consider joining the loyalty club. Get a card and after 9 cones you get the 10th one free! Thank you Alonso for the delicious and allergy friendly options you provide to the Sarasota community!

This is such a fun vibe for a group of people! The food was really tasty and a great size portion of pasta, which is hard to find. It was also pretty light on the sauce which made me leave not feeling too heavy or bloated. They have options for gluten free pasta too. My Italian margarita was a 100/10! The best of the best. The drinks took like 50 minutes to come out and the waitress brought us free garlic bread for the wait which was the sweetest thing ever. I will definitely be back!
