Enjoyed a brunch break with my family of 6. I tried the Louisiana Quiche with a side of potatoes. The quiche was good as far as seasoning and flavor but the pastry part of the quiche was overcooked and therefore hard to eat with a fork. The hot chocolate was great! It’s my go-to hot drink. I give it and our service 5/5. Although it’s a 45-minute drive from Kannapolis, I’ll happily make it again; especially since I’m the passenger while my husband drives ;) The menu has so many options, I love trying different things! I don’t mind paying for good quality, feel-good food that’s prepped fresh. I’m always satisfied. If I find something that I don’t prefer, I just order something different next time. So many choices, including gluten-free and vegetarian.

Decent fast casual restaurant with healthy food unless you are salt conscious. Good choice of vegetarian and gluten free food.
One big complaint: about half the dishes (saucy ones) were way too salty
Advice: the kids meal portion is a bit small. My below average sized toddler finished it all and wanted more pasta.

I come to Sunflour Baking Company often because the food is great — they have a lot of gluten-free options, delicious breakfast, and really good coffee. But the customer service needs some improvement. On my most recent visit the girl working the counter — she had dark hair with green dye — didn’t greet me or say anything. I had to start the conversation and place my order without any acknowledgment. She barely spoke, didn’t smile, and seemed totally uninterested. When the order was done, she didn’t say anything like “your food will be out soon,” and just walked away. When I received my food and said “thank you,” she didn’t respond. I love the food here and I love this place, but I think the experience would be so much better if the staff were a bit more friendly and welcoming.
This spot offers a warm, inviting, and effortlessly chic atmosphere with outdoor seating that enhances its cool, relaxed vibe. The service is attentive and accommodating, ensuring a comfortable experience for guests with gluten-free needs. The setting complements a menu thoughtfully adapted for gluten-free diners.

So this was my 2nd time visiting. My first time was great, but this 2nd time was..to put it nicely, less great. My partner & I decided to grab lunch here because I knew they had gluten free options which my partner needs. To start our server was frazzed and all over the place which seemed weird since we were 1 of 5 tables there. We expressed my partner’s gluten & dairy allergy & ordered the skewers with the greek yogurt on the side so that I could eat it. However the skewers came out without the yogurt to which I had to ask a different server who brought it out to being me some & for some reason my server charged me extra for it… My soup was barely warm and we just didn’t enjoy our time there, which is unfortunate since I had a good experience the first time. I hope this was just a fluke but I won’t know unless I go again.

I absolutely love love love this grocery store! The selection of organic, non-GMO healthy products is just incredible.
The quality, portions for what you pay has never been an issue for me. I’m in there at least two or three times a week and especially enjoy their breaded chicken cutlets and cooked shrimp in the deli section.
They make some really good couscous and kale salads as well.
Oh! The ice cream? Oh my God! Ice cream for beers is incredible. You’ve really got to try it!! I haven’t been able to get this ice cream anywhere else and it literally has 5 to 6 ingredients in it.
They do not use sugar, they sweeten it with honey. The butterscotch, the vanilla bean are my favorites. The honey is very good, but it could be sweet for some. It is only 699 a pint so much more cost-effective than a Ben & Jerry’s, Jeni’s (I love Jeni’s by the way) and healthier than any other ice cream you’re going to buy.
I believe I saw this ice cream online, but it is much more cost wise than 699. They do have some amazing organic ice cream creams at sprouts as well.
Really love the premade salads in the produce section because they are, half of them? Also organic in the bag!
Oh, by the way, a great selection of gluten-free vegetarian and vegan products.
Almost forgot! The pizzas that are packaged in the deli section. I cannot tell you how much I enjoy them! It might look like a lot of bread, but it really isn’t and when you drizzle olive oil over it and cook it in the oven, it comes out fantastically!
I love the fair trade, organic chocolate that they sell as well. Really really good quality great taste. I love dark chocolate and they have a wonderful selection.
I can get all of my organic Kefir here.
Ohhh!!! Their muffins! My favorite is the pistachio and the double fudge chocolate. The selection of sourdough? Also incredible. Organic by the way!
They might’ve shut down Trader Joe’s in Ballantyne but please you need to check out Sprouts. By the way, my opinion, the quality of the premade food is 10 times better than Whole Foods or fresh market. You get better quality better value for your money at Sprouts.
Almost forgot, but I also enjoy when they make salmon and have it at the deli section or counter. Their shrimp and their salmon are very fresh and flavorful. I forgot to mention that those chicken cutlets? Thick, perfectly cooked always juicy never dried out. The breading that they use is also very light and flavorful.
I swear to God, I need to invest in stock in this company as often as I’m there!
Highly highly recommend.
Oh and the last thing I’ll say is the staff is always friendly, always smiling there’s a cashier that is there a few times a week - he is young and has glasses - ALWAYS (and yes, I mean ) bubbling over with positive energy! Energetic and lively!!
Sometimes I go in to get one thing (of course, ice cream) just so I can say hi to him (he is there on Thursdays for sure) he is so so positive, literally everyone loves getting on his line and when they leave - they are smiling!! He really makes your day!!I love him!
Anyway, if you’ve not been to a Sprouts, especially this one in Ballantyne I promise it’s worth it. It is a small store but never had a problem and it is around the corner for me so the only store I go to now.
The selection is great but the people? It’s kind of like Cheers where everybody knows your name - definitely a place you want to visit on a regular basis.
Would love to hear from others!

i went in with my boyfriend on sunday at about noon, our server (maria i believe) was handing the check out to an 8 top right next to us, asked what we would like to drink, too which we said we still needed a minute. the 8 top left roughly 5 minutes later, and our server was no where to be found. him and i probably sat for another 15 minutes before she came and asked for our order. i ordered an ice coffee, asking for creamer to come alongside. when she finally came back with out drinks she forgot my creamer, not a big deal, i’m a server myself and have done the damn job i get it. she disappeared, speaking to her 4 top. we waited another 15 minutes and she didn’t show up so i sent my boyfriend to ask someone for creamer. once we got our food, she didn’t show back up. i was given the wrong sausage, my boyfriend is celiac and had concerns regarding cross contamination. the two tables next to us, who had another server, were sat after us and already gathering their checks by the time we even got our food. her 4 tops food came out right after ours. she was dedicating her total attention to a 4 top instead of her other tables. once me and boyfriend finished we waited another 15/20 minutes for our check. i needed a to-go box. she never checked in to make sure we were doing alright. she was sat another 4 top, put their order in and disappeared for another 10 minutes. finally she drops the check off, before even asking if we were completed or if the check was together it separate. she scurried off before i could even ask for a box. i got up to ask for a box, another server was the girl who grabbed it for me. once my man went to pay for the check, we had to wait for someone to come to the front. overall i have never had such awful service anywhere. i understand being weeded and i understand kitchen issues, but the only tables that were stuck waiting were hers. overall just disappointed. the oreo waffle was really yummy though.
