This was the perfect fresh breakfast I’ve been searching for. Food was delicious, staff were helpful, and the atmosphere was amazing.
The “Bee Cake” pancakes piqued my interest and my waitress was happy to explain. Basically, it’s a gluten free pancake made with honey and pollen that helps the dough raise like a “normal” pancake. However it had a surprisingly familiar mouth feel and a welcomed nutty flavor! Couldn’t be happier!
The breakfast sandwich I got was also delicious and fresh. Truly enjoyed this breakfast so much, I might say it’s the best part of the whole city!
I’ve ordered here a couple of times and the presentation, flavor, and cooked temperature is always on point! Staff really follows the ticket order. I love their gluten free bun.

Katie P was fantastic! She was kind and attentive for our whole meal. I have gluten and dairy allergies and she had the manager prepare everything to make sure it was safe!
They advertise having gluten free options so we decided to give them a try. Asked the hostess if they had a gluten free menu and she said no. Asked if the menu was marked with which items were gluten free and she said our server would be able to assist us. After we were seated I asked our waiter which menu options were gluten free. He informed us that they had gluten free bread for the sandwiches and a gluten free crust for the pizza. I inquired further about which sandwiches or pizza would be able to be made gluten free and he said if an item had gluten they just wouldn't include it when they made the meal which was horribly unhelpful to say the least. Tried one more time and asked specifically if any of the appetizers or sides were gluten free and this dude just stared at me for 5 seconds straight and then turned to my partner and asked if he wanted anything to drink and straight up ignored my question. Literally no allergen information anywhere so you can't even order a salad because you have no idea if they just won't put dressing on it if it's not gluten free. I like surprises as much as the next person but I really don't want to order a tantalizing sounding sandwich just to end up with some gf bread topped with lettuce because they removed the gluten items. They do just remove it too, my order was supposed to have fried onions so I asked if they would be replaced with regular old onions instead and he kind hmmhhmmm'ed at me which i thought was a yes but turns out it was a no. They just removed the crispy onions. I paid more money for the gluten free option to get less food. My better half said his food was pretty good and the view was phenomenal so if you don't have any dietary restrictions and money to burn then give this place a try, otherwise stick with places like Fretboard and their affiliate restaurants because they're absolutely amazing and care about making sure everyone has a great dining experience. The price is not worth the service here, our waiter was nowhere to be found from the time he took our order until the time he slapped the check on the table and then he hovered around trying to get us to leave so he could seat the next tip $$$ in line waiting to eat even though I still had a plate of the blandest food ever to eat.
Perfect 5-STAR experience at the Kenwood Cooper's Hawk location yesterday, celebrating Valentine's Day at lunchtime. REILLY provided exceptional and highly attentive service, especially with regard to our gluten and dairy restrictions. She was very courteous and professional. We have visited several Cooper Hawk's across Dayton/Cincinnati area (Kenwood, Liberty Centre, Centerville) and the KENWOOD location is clearly superb in all aspects.
Am gluten free and there were so many options. The gluten free pancakes and omelette were delicious. Portions sizes are generous. Very friendly wait staff.
The experience here was superb just like the other restaurants in the Looking Glass Hospitality portfolio. If you have Celiac or gluten intolerance they are excellent in their protocols and were able to adjust items to celiac specificity.
We had the Korean Corn Dogs which were 10/10. The Caesar was heavy on kale which is not our first choice of greens but it was generously dressed and had fresh grated cheese. The scallop and beef parpardele were enjoyed as well as Lobster Mac (fresh!) and wedge potatoes. Dip potatoes in the cheese sauce for a menu hack!
The creamsicle cloud dessert was unique as well as light.
Drinks wise they have an excellent selection and I enjoyed the Lychee Ginger as a great cocktail with Asian inspired appetizer.
This is a must for a date night with someone with allergies or if you like to dine local with local ownership. Parking garage is conveniently attached behind the restaurant and there's an entry from the garage to the restaurant. We were there on a Sunday so the area was quiet.
Seating:
Table was clean but awkward seating placement. Pretty slow day on a Wednesday.
The wine:
I got the basic marrlow Wine. It has sat for a while. Slightly separated with a hint of bitter. It smells fresh. Slight cranberry flavor but mostly tastes like it hd sat hu hasnt aged. Doesn't slide down easily, definitely a sipping wine. Would be paired well with a chicken, or something light to contrast the dark undertones of the wine.
Service and atmosphere:
Asked about allergies.
Asked about getting me a special wllergy safe menue.
New her menu very well.
Good scenery.
Nice sense of music.
There is a mix of dark subitiabilty mixed. It gives outdoor Deck well still having the comfortably of a high end diner.
Very hotel esk.
Service was attendant and open. As well as quick moving.
Air ventilation is good
Waiter also left
The food:
Asked for medium, god medium well. Not the worst for a burger, but would be worried about a steak.
Burger is very well made. The bread for being gluten free held up quite well and it was seasoned very good. One of the best I've had.
Upelled me on desert, the experience was so good I took it. I am looking forward too trying this.
Better menu options then ford's garage as far as gluten free or allergy safe options go.
The penutbutter pie: may I just say I was delighted. The airy light sweetness of this pie was one of the best I've ever had, glute free or not. The texture was smooth yet every bite felt varied in a wonderful way only penutbutter can do. It was also very ohio. Reminiscent of the buckies desert tht ohio is known for. The presentation was mouthwatering and it was well deserved. The chocolate sauce felt fresh, sweet, and well placed. The nuts where fresh (ive had many where the nuts where stale) and well placed. My only downside to this pie was the spray on wipcream, which if swapped for homemade would make this pie double the price, but award winning.
Overall rating 4.0/ 5
I ended up coming here for Thanksgiving at the last minute with my family, and even though we came close to closing time, the staff was incredibly accommodating and did not make us feel rushed. The service was exceptional, and staff members were kind and friendly. I would have loved to have more vegan and gluten free options, but overall it was a good experience.
We love this spot in town and the people who work there are always so kind and welcoming! Great atmosphere and a wonderful spot for vegan/ gluten free food.
Upscale street tacos is what you might call these? They are on the smaller size, they they taste amazing.
The queso may be the best I've ever had. And the margaritas are legit. Lots of gluten free options if you need that.
Service gets dinged because of how ticked off I was with the reservation part. I called at 12:30 on a Wednesday to make a reservation (neither my husband nor I have access to OpenTable) and was told they were “extremely busy” so call back in a half hour, I called periodically after 1:00 without an answer, I asked my husband to call, they answered and he made the reservation in less than a minute. I believed I was denied service then ignored because of my fatal blunder of calling during a lunch hour…😒 👎
Anyway, despite sour expectations, the food and portion sizes were excellent! We got 5 menu items (all gluten free except anjou and no croutons on the salad): The stuffed mushrooms were creamy and flavorful! The Meritage salad was a great combo without too much or little of anything. The prime rib 20oz was gigantic and came with anjou. The scallops were even better than the prime rib, perfectly cooked with a tasty sauce. To top off our enjoyment, the crème brûlée was light to eat and the vanilla flavor very pleasing.
Our server gets 5 stars for sure. I always drink a lot of water when out to eat and I appreciate her filling my water 5 times in the 2 hours we were there without me having to ask or anything!
The place is a renovated old home style building but it is really big, they have a lot of space. The live music was a guy with an acoustic guitar and a wide variety of songs he could play and sing. It made a nice vibe.
It was a great time out for us!
I am celiac, and it is a roll of the dice on the food. I have eaten there several times and have had a received something with gluten on about half of the visits even though I ordered specifically what is labeled gf and telling the server it is for an allergy.
Places an order for 8 people on a Friday for pickup on Monday. Everything was ready on time. All the food was there and it was delicious! Great option when you have someone gluten free in the group and it had a vegetarian option for me!
I mostly come to Lou Vino for brunch. It’s amazing every time. There’s usually some gluten free options but nothing yummy like waffles or French toast gluten free. Just like omelette and steak and eggs. Either way the mimosas are affordable for brunch and the service is usually pretty friendly.
This is a great place to be with a group. Service was fast, and the staff were friendly and kind with the kids. The Chili is so good! They put so much cheese on top of it too. If you are gluten-free, you can ask the bowl of Chili without the pasta. The cheese fries were ok. I don't think we will order it next time.
Be prepared to try a new recipe of Chile, tough. It has different spices that make it special.
Usually very trust worthy with their Gluten free options especially burgers , but not this time ! Had the quesadilla for app and salmon salad for entree ! Got sick for hours after wards ! When people need GF for a medical condition, they need to do better than that or change your menu ! Otherwise food was good , service just ok.
I called ahead to see if there was a wait and was put on the waiting list as I was driving there. I had to wait about 5 minutes after arriving and checking in, which was not a long time. The food was amazing. I had Flo's Filet and some sides with raspberry iced tea. My date has Celiac Disease, and cannot eat anything containing or that comes in contact with gluten. Gluten is in wheat, barley and rye. We told the server that my date has Celiac and she knew what it is and what to do. My date had the parmesan crusted chicken without bread crumbs and White Cheddar Stuffed Mushrooms without bread crumbs, mashed potatoes, and a baked potato. They have many gluten free options and we eat here often. My date never gets sick from cross contamination of gluten! The server was 100% on it. This was a very busy Saturday evening. She refilled our drinks without us having to ask, got us a couple boxes when she noticed us slowing down on eating, was super friendly and attentive. The staff at the front door were lovely and polite. Overall, this was a very good dining experience. I highly recommend Long Horn Steak House in Eastgate OH.
