During my recent four-day stay at the Residence Inn while attending Flight Sim Expo 2025, I was so happy to discover that 110 Grill was conveniently attached right to the hotel. It felt like such a treat to have a quality dining spot just steps from my room, especially after long days exploring the expo.
The restaurant has a warm and modern atmosphere, with a stylish interior featuring sleek wood finishes, cozy lighting, and an inviting open kitchen concept that lets you watch the chefs in action. It is spacious yet comfortable, making it perfect for both solo dining at the bar and gathering with friends at a table.
One of the biggest highlights about 110 Grill is their dedication to accommodating dietary needs. They are known for having a completely gluten-free menu, right down to a separate fryer to avoid cross-contamination. As someone who appreciates when restaurants go the extra mile for their guests, I thought that was fantastic.
I came in around noon on Sunday, and the place was surprisingly quiet, offering a peaceful escape from the busy weekend crowds. The bartender was absolutely wonderful. Although she seemed to be the only person working the floor at the time, she managed everything with such grace and friendliness. She was attentive and so kind, and she mixed some amazing drinks.
I enjoyed a couple of their signature 110 Margaritas, and they were both fantastic, perfectly balanced with fresh citrus flavors and just the right amount of tequila kick. For my meal, I ordered the Apricot Shrimp Risotto along with a side Caesar salad, and it completely blew me away. The risotto was creamy and rich without being heavy or mushy, and I was delighted that there were no diced onions hiding in it, since I usually find they overpower the dish. The shrimp were large and tender, and the hint of sweetness from the apricot created a beautiful harmony of flavors. It was one of those meals that stays with you long after you have left town because it was genuinely that delicious.
Looking through the menu, I noticed that 110 Grill offers a great variety of dishes ranging from hearty steaks and burgers to creative seafood options and vibrant vegetarian plates. Their menu often features seasonal specials and locally inspired flavors, keeping things fresh and exciting. They also have an impressive cocktail list and a nice selection of wines and local craft beers, which makes it a great spot for both dinner and drinks.
Service, even during quiet times, felt warm and personal, and I appreciated how attentive the staff were to details, especially when it comes to food allergies or dietary preferences.
If you find yourself staying at the Residence Inn or anywhere nearby, or you simply want a delicious meal in a modern, comfortable setting, I highly recommend checking out 110 Grill. It was the perfect place to relax, indulge in a fantastic meal, and treat myself during my trip to Flight Sim Expo. I am already looking forward to coming back the next time I am in town.
I went for the special Irish breakfast on a weekday shortly before St. Patrick’s Day. The corned beef dinner knocked my socks off with how smooth it was! Just really commendable that a special could be so perfect. And for just $25! Sat at the chef’s counter and saw the care and cooperation with which dishes were being prepared. Server was friendly, charming, and knowledgeable about gluten restrictions.
Service did seem a tad disorganized. I noticed plates sit on the counter for maybe 3-5 minutes before they went to tables.
The place has a really cool interior and vibe. Every time I’m here I notice some different decor behind the bar or on the wall. I love that the bar seats have skateboards on the backs of them. The bar staff is always friendly and informative. I come in for my favorite cocktail, the track suit. Bourbon, aperol, yellow chartreuse, and lemon. The menu has a lot of gluten free options, and I even had the luxury of having GF onion rings this last visit. This place is one of my favorites.
Really happy we came here! We went with the chef’s tasting menu, and were very impressed by the creativity of the chef. Multiple dishes were like “I’ve never tasted anything like this’”. The combination of ingredients were often out of box but perfect. They also were very accommodating with our dietary restrictions, husband is gluten free and I have to eat fully cooked food with my pregnancy, so they did a fully customized thing for us, which was amazing and made us feel really special. Their menu obviously changes often, so it’s very nice to have seasonal, fresh ingredients. I can tell a lot of people here come repeatedly, which is another great sign. Overall definitely a place worth coming! Love the chef and our server!
I’m giving Piemontes 5 stars because their pizza is fantastic. BUT….Piemonte’s…. Cmon… I ordered a gluten free pizza (margarita) and you put this HORRIBLE looking basil in my box, you didn’t even put it in my pizza, which also came cold as ice. Do better next time with Gluten free pizza.
CAV Restaurant is a thoughtful place. Every component of the restaurant seems to be articulately assessed. "Everything in it's place" feels like a proper phrase for this restaurant. The antiquities that surround the dining tables are a severe example of the decorator's style. There are places in Providence that mix small business and museum, this is one of those places.
The menu had a selection that doesn't feel as limited as other niche restaurants. The selection did include gluten-free labeling for those who have the need. The Parmesan Encrusted Free Range Chicken Breast was delicious. The portion size was enough, for a fast metabolism, you may want to order appetizers.
I like to judge a place by it's presentation of a Caesar Salad. Some places look like they threw a bunch of lettuce leaves onto a place and smatter some cheese on top, with a sneeze of Caesar dressing. CAV was not this place. We ordered the salad without croutons, and it was delicious. There was some baked parmesan on top of the salad that added to the flavor. The dressing was light enough that it did not overpower the other flavors, such as the lettuce and the cheese.
The cocktails were excellent! I ordered the Silver and Gold Margarita, they were flavorful and highlighted the taste of the tequila without the taste of the alcohol. A very unique aspect.
CAV is a place where I am curious about it all. When observing all of the artifacts, and the actual space that the restaurant was in, it tells a very cool story. I recommend taking the time to make a reservation and enjoy the time spent there. It is a wonderful thing for CAV to be in Providence!
i love south asian food and i am so happy there's a new spot in federal hill for it. i ordered the chicken tikka bowl and the mini samosas. the place is sooo clean and i love their decor like their little high top seating has marble counters. they were playing covers of my favorite bollywood music and it created a whole mood. the food tastes so fresh and so seasoned but because they build your bowl with you, you can alter spice and taste levels. the servers are SO kind. they loved taking questions and sharing more information about their kitchen set-up and how they make everything from scratch. you can see them cooking while you order and eat. it's so gluten friendly too. this is a great place to bring friends with different dietary tastes or needs. i put both kinds of rice and salads on my bowl, and picked the cilanter coolada sauce which tastes like mint parsley chutney. the mini samosas were the perfect crunchy accompaniment and sooo flavorful in their little bites. the tamarind chili is like a sweet and spicy sauce to dip into. i can't wait to come back and also to cater them for my college student events.
My server Caroline was so attentive and not to mention so beautiful!! She attended to our every need and the food was to die for! I went to dinner with my family, my grandparents were in town visiting, they are hard to impress but loved everything from the ambience to the gluten free options. We will definitely be back! Sweet Caroline gave us an excellent night and we are very grateful!
We love this restaurant! Waiters are great, Leo is exceptional and Sean is a warm caring host. Fresh blue fin tuna tonight, it was so fresh. We get specials most of the time but the staples are great too! This restaurant also works for our gluten free friends.
One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time, in a beautiful dining room!!! Service here from the start was stellar and our server was very knowledgeable about the different wines as well as gluten-free options. A very diverse menu, we ordered the mussels with sweet potato chips, summer vegetables with herb caper dip, wood roasted squid and sausage and pasta with confit tuna and guanciale. All the dishes were phenomenal, and felt very original. The blight for me however had to be the burnt basque cheesecake which was just delectably creamy and delicious. Will definitely be coming back.
Haven’t been in a long while but remembered liking it when I came. Came with a friend who is gluten-free so we decided to share everything listed as GF on the menu.
So glad I tried the chicken breast with mashed potatoes. Au jus sauce so the gravy is GF too ; SO good. Highly recommend, to anyone. Not just GF people. The chicken was perfectly marinated and they split it in half for us when we said we were sharing.
They start you off with bread which is obviously gluten so I got to eat two of those because she can’t. Whipped butter was a nice touch.
Hope they don’t take the chicken dish off the menu or change it. It’s perfect. Will be recommending that to everyone.
The appetizer we ordered was fine. Like Cambodian style agedashi tofu instead of Japanese style. It was listed as tofu fries so I found the shape to be a little boring. They could be more fun if they were sliced in another half long ways. Served with Thai style sweet chili sauce.
Wedge Salad was better and the chicken was fantastic.
I want to love this place. Great location. But the drink menu is laughably outdated ( 2000's Red Sox players ?)
My sangria was a tiny glass of wine and peachtree, for $16. Food is ok , but it's 2024, time to keep some gluten free buns in the freezer, I will overpay for it.
The pizza was delicious and my daughter loved the gluten-free pizza. The owner/manager was super friendly and welcoming. The gelato for dessert was amazing. I had the peanut butter brownie and chocolate flavors. Great find!!
Second visit to New Rivers and every dish, every bite was as good asbI recalled from the first visit. Great roast chicken, fish, pastas. Service is friendly. Servers and kitchen knew how to accommodate a gluten free diner at the table.
