The place was exactly what we needed, close to the beach, quiet, good food, and convenient. We were craving some vegetables and were able to have some fresh food, the soup was good, the calamari was quite delish! Great flavor and nicely crisp, would come back just for those. They also accommodate gluten free options, the waitress was great by making sure about it being gluten free which was really kind.

This place has great food and service. They were also terrific with our gluten free requirements. The chef’s are very entertaining too.
I was struck by the age and condition of the fit-out inside though. The floor coverings in particular are well past their use-by date, very discoloured and worn, and just need replacing. A pity this detracted from the experience.
A pleasant surprise. We actually had reservations at another Japanese restaurant, however that one left us disappoint as they were unable to honour our reservation. Stop forward Mr Kojima, they were able to get our party of four seated quickly and we opted for the Omakase menu, which is more akin to a 'feed me' set menu where they do the hard work of picking what to eat. $65pp, we weren't sure what to think, but there was. Huge amount of variety and definitely enough food to leave you content with a full belly. Some highlights included the Wagyu beef on a sizzling cast iron, the pork belly and the tuna tartare with crispy rice bites. The staff were super nice and knowledgeable, especially as one of our diners required gluten free food. Very happy that we stumbled upon this little gem and we will definitely be back when we visit the Gold Coast again!

Coeliac and admittedly aware it can be difficult but this is a Japanese restaurant and have never had so much difficulty getting clarity on what was Gluten Free or not. The waitress kept changing her mind on what was and wasn't. If you want good Japanese food better off going to the one in the Casino.
My family and I ate there last night, beautiful atmosphere and delicious food, super accommodating for nut and gluten free child and adult, the food was delicious and so was the strawberry lassi
