A wonderful hot chocolate place worth a stop in! It has great vegan options! I had the dark hot chocolate with oat milk, a vegan gluten free lamington that was oozing chocolate, as well as one of their small chocolate bites. Absolutely delicious!

So I’ll start with what was good, vegan food was top notch according to my partner. Sweet and sour vegan pork was cooked perfectly.
Pretty mediocre entrees though
Now on to my meal, I ordered the gluten free chicken.
I’ve never been so turned off food before, when I asked the waitress to talk to the chef about my chicken being under cooked cause it was chewy (like eating a gummy worm ) I was told by the chef that’s how it was prepared and he was certain it was cooked without even looking at the meal
I barely ate the meal, so I took my food home hoping that I would just reheat it and cook it longer for I didn’t want to argue and make a fuss
But to my shock once in better lighting and away from the restaurant the smell of the chicken in some parts was horrid and the colour in some parts was definitely pink.
I ended up vomiting last night due to the meal and am now fairly sick in the stomach from the whole thing.
If a customer says their meal is under cooked TRUST THEM, they are the ones paying for the meal and eating it.
Thanks for making me sick and feel as though I was being silly for the chef was “certain”
Would love to chat about a refund and hope that the restaurant takes customers concerns more seriously
Very disappointed
Step into a cozy, nostalgic space with 1980s and 1990s decor that creates a relaxed, homey atmosphere. Friendly staff enhance the experience, while outdoor seating offers a pleasant alternative. This spot is known for its carefully heated gluten-free pies, making it a top choice for gluten-free diners.

The best gluten free pies you will find in the hills or even any eastern suburbs of Melbourne. They heat the gluten free pies fresh so you must wait approximately 10-15minutes which is understandable as gf always taste better freshly heated & they always take longer than normal pies. I have had the minced beef & the chicken & they both have delicious fillings & wonderful light crisp gf pastry. Staff were great & friendly even though it was crazy busy. My hubby had a normal steak & mushroom pie & he loved it also. We also had coffees 2 lattes one almond milk & that were lovely hot & strong 👍🏻

We’re a family of four (my wife and our two daughters, aged nine and seven), and Dudleys has become one of our go-to spots. We’ve visited a couple of times now, and every time the staff has been incredibly friendly and accommodating.
The menu is Italian-inspired, but there’s a great variety, including fantastic fresh seafood. What really stands out is how well they cater to dietary requirements — whether you’re gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free, or egg-free, they’ve got you covered. Everything feels fresh, and the prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality. There are also some great daily specials and coffee options.
The atmosphere is a highlight, with different seating areas to suit your mood. There are cozy tables inside, a main dining area with big windows that open up (perfect for summer), and a veranda area that’s ideal for warm days. No matter where you sit, the vibe is relaxed and inviting.
As for the food, we’ve tried a variety of dishes, and everything has been excellent. The vegan pizza, divided into four different toppings, was a fun way to sample their options. Our daughter had a gluten-free vegan cheese margherita pizza, which was spot on. We also enjoyed the Moreton Bay bugs with prawns, served with a delicious thick spaghetti, and the calamari dish was fresh and flavorful. Even the kids’ chicken nuggets were a hit!
Another great feature is their continuous service — they serve food between lunch and dinner, so you can walk in anytime before 5 PM, and bookings are available after that. Each visit, they’ve found a spot for us, even without a booking.
Overall, Dudleys is a fantastic spot, especially for families. Highly recommend it for great food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Hello! The waiting staff were very friendly and helpful as my Son and I are on lowfodmap diet so we cant eat gluten. The barramundi fish and chips with salad was so nice that we came back to have it two nights in a row.
Also we took cakes home and it was the nicest carrot cake I've ever eaten. My son had an incredible caramel slice. We thoroughly enjoyed the lemon lime bitters. Very friendly atmopshere. Good on them for doing a good job and for being warm and welcoming. We are not from the area and it was refreshing to be made to feel at home . Some other food establishments are quite snobby which is foolish because they'll lose customers to restaurants like this one .
Thank you so much !!

Highly recommend this place. Set at the top of the hill overlooking the spectacular Cloudehill Gardens at Olinda, the food was delicious and served with the friendliest smiles. Gluten free options are available for savory as well as sweet foods, and all cakes are home made. The hazelnut roll and even more so the orange cake we tried were to die for, and my coffee made exactly the way I have it, no questions asked. A perfect place for a day out, and 10 acres of beautiful gardens to explore to work up an appetite.

Beautiful, relaxing ambience and wonderful service! The food was very delicious and even catered for my gluten free intolerance. Loved their collection of artwork and elephants 😊
We will definitely back when we drive through the area again.
