So I’ll start with what was good, vegan food was top notch according to my partner. Sweet and sour vegan pork was cooked perfectly. Pretty mediocre entrees though Now on to my meal, I ordered the gluten free chicken. I’ve never been so turned off food before, when I asked the waitress to talk to the chef about my chicken being under cooked cause it was chewy (like eating a gummy worm ) I was told by the chef that’s how it was prepared and he was certain it was cooked without even looking at the meal I barely ate the meal, so I took my food home hoping that I would just reheat it and cook it longer for I didn’t want to argue and make a fuss But to my shock once in better lighting and away from the restaurant the smell of the chicken in some parts was horrid and the colour in some parts was definitely pink. I ended up vomiting last night due to the meal and am now fairly sick in the stomach from the whole thing. If a customer says their meal is under cooked TRUST THEM, they are the ones paying for the meal and eating it. Thanks for making me sick and feel as though I was being silly for the chef was “certain” Would love to chat about a refund and hope that the restaurant takes customers concerns more seriously Very disappointed

As a coeliac, I hoped the gluten free menu would be competently managed by the restaurant. Regrettably that was not the case. Despite repeatedly advising wait staff that we wanted our table to be wholly gluten free, so my husband and I could share the two mains we ordered, our lamb cumin stir-fry was presented with a fried noodle decoration. I asked the waitress if the decoration was gluten free. She was unsure, so sought clarification. After a few minutes of intense discussion, she returned to the table, waved vaguely at the dish and said, "Not for you" (or similar). We understood her to mean I should avoid the garnish and section of the stir-fry it was embedded in, as that was the question I had asked; it was only on later that we wondered if she meant the whole plate was not suitable. Either way, it was a disconcerting experience in a restaurant that apparently prides itself on gluten free offerings. On reflection, I really think a freshly prepared, uncontaminated plate of food should have been offered in place of the original offering. Coeliac disease is a medical condition and should be taken seriously by restaurants. Overall, a disappointing and worrying experience, even if the food itself tasted good.
