Remodeled the store, now everything is 30-50% more expensive.
Not as worth it, anymore, especially now that Walmart is carrying popular gluten-free brands...
I usually go to the DiTazza off of Padden. I go there on Sundays and also early mornings before work. I absolutely love the staff, the gluten free options and the coffee is really good! Hats off to this cafe and their staff. Will continue to go there often.
I searched social media to find what locals considered the best Apple Fritters in town, Angel's was suggested multiple times. So off I went to determine for myself as I miss a great apple fritter. I noted they have blueberry fritters also!
Overall, I found the location is great but parking can be limited.
Store smells great and the staff was friendly, attentive and helpful.
I believe there was 1 table at the entrance and a nice variety of ice cream for those who prefer dairy over gluten treats 😋
I got the fritters to go. At home I cut it open to share and found disappointment at the lack of apple. Yes, there are several very small pieces of apple. It is definitely better then a local grocery store but I expected more for the best donut 🍩 and ice cream store🍦
Everything I tried was delicious. I got a croissant, a stuffed croissant (called a "squiggle), blueberry crumble and a coffee. Got it all to go and everything was nicely packed. Best of all, everything was incredibly delicious. The crumble happened to be gluten free but it was just as delicious as a gluten counter part. Lemon curd in the squiggle was wonderful. I will definitely return to try everything.
Always a fun shopping experience! 👍🏼
The produce is fresh, and there is a huge selection to choose from. Almost everything is local, too, which always is a plus in my book.
I also love the bakery section, in which you can get super yummy treats; single serving slices of pie, mousse, cake, bread pudding, and so much more, to whole speciality cakes, cupcakes and tarts, as well as a variety of different types of bread, bagels, croissants, muffins, etc. Gluten-free and vegan options are available to you as well.
They also have food to order that you can either eat right there or take home. Their choices are awesome; truly something for everyone. There is a deli section, as well as make your own salad bar, which is probably my favorite option to get with a warm bowl of soup.
Last but definitely not least is their health and wellness section in which you will find a huge selection of vitamins and supplements, specialty herbs, essential oils, and lots of unique products.
This is a store that is worth going down ever aisle because you never know what kind of treasures you are going to find! 😊
Thatcher’s Coffee is such a great spot to work from—plenty of space, a calm and welcoming atmosphere, and the vibes are immaculate. It strikes that perfect balance between cozy and modern.
One of my favorite things about this place is how many gluten-free options they offer. It makes grabbing a snack or meal so much easier (and tastier!) without having to stress. Between the great coffee, the friendly staff, and the relaxing environment, this place has definitely become one of my go-to work cafés.
I'm so glad we chose Simply Sweets for our wedding! We had several gluten free and vegan requirements, and they delivered. We ordered both a gluten-free wedding cake and a mix of cupcakes. We loved their simple yet classy look and everything tasted amazing. Plus, they did the cutest design of our two cats peaking out from behind the cake which we both adored. Communication was easy and delivery went great. Thank you SS!
I've been going here a few years now, but they've been very inconsistent lately. If you order any food the wait time is going to be a minimum of 15 to 45 minutes. I wish that were an exaggeration, but sadly it's not.
I've ordered the exact same sandwich and drink the last four times I've been here, but there's been something different about my order every time.
I no longer feel safe coming here, since I don't know if I'm going to receive a gluten-free sandwich or not or if my drink is going to contain dairy or not, even though I order it with almond milk. Even putting that aside, the quality has been inconsistent. I've had some amazing mochas here, but the one I got today was so bad I couldn't even finish it.
I hope they can figure out their quality issues.
I am always on the hunt for a good cinnamon roll. We visited this bakery months ago. Picked up some cookies, a cinnamon roll and sticky bun. I was staying in the area of this bakery so called on a Friday afternoon to see if they would have cinnamon rolls and pecan sticky buns available Saturday morning. It was Easter weekend and they had pre-orders for those items. I was too late to order cinnamon rolls, but they were able to accommodate the pecan sticky buns. I picked the rolls up Saturday morning when they were just finishing baking.
This place has amazing cinnamon rolls and pecan sticky buns. I also ordered the scoop of chocolate chip cookie dough. I would buy it again. They also offer gluten free cookie dough.
I wish these pictures were a scratch and sniff so you could smell these sticky buns. The owners were welcoming/friendly and just nice to chat with. I will definitely be back!
