Great cafe! My husband had delicious French toast and I had Irish beef burger with Gluten Free bread and fries. Good GF options and they were very accommodating!
Our server was super helpful and was able to indicate which items were gluten free! She asked if it was celiac and when I said yes she made sure to tell the kitchen to clean everything!
We had 3 people in our party and only one had a good food experience. Unfortunately, the 2.people that ordered gluten free pasta dishes were served extremely boring dishes with no flavor and absolutely no attempt at presentation. The gluten free pasta dishes looked like something from a children's menu - no exaggeration, I promise. My dish, Penne Regine All’Arrabbiata, was tasty and well presented. I enjoyed it! Service was attentive. Atmosphere was ok. Tables were close together, somewhat unnecessarily since there was plenty of space in the restaurant. We will not be returning.

Unfortunately, a disappointing experience.
The initial welcome was friendly, but there was zero flexibility when it came to ordering. I asked for an Irish Breakfast with gluten-free bread and to substitute the two puddings (which I can’t eat), but was told I could only remove them — no substitutions allowed, and I would still have to pay for the full dish. When I asked why, the only explanation was “the chef doesn’t want to,” which felt more like a whim than a serious policy. I decided to leave, as I believe this kind of attitude is unfair — especially in a time when food allergies and intolerances should be taken seriously.
This place is absolutely incredible. It is tapas style and you can really taste how fresh the food is. No matter how long the line is I think it’s worth the wait, also they can make almost anything celiac/gluten friendly.
Absolutely lovely café with excellent food, just perfect if you've finished walking around the Hellfire Club. Staff are friendly, and the rustic decor is inspired by the Timber store. Outdoor seating and indoor seating available. The food was excellent, as was the tea. I can highly recommend the bacon/sausage/pudding sandwich and the Banoffee pie. There were vegan and vegetarian options, with Gluten free options for the celiacs.
This is a lovely restaurant. The staff are friendly, the good is excellent and it is very relaxing. It is particularly good if you are coeliac. I had gluten free French toast which was gorgeous.
Our visit to Bewleys earlier today is best forgotten. It was not the experience I was expecting.
The service was less than average. My order was wrong and the food was only luke warm. When I queried the order, the waiter maintained that he'd told me something that he hadn't plus he assumed I was gluten intolerant because I asked for gf toast. Based on this assumption, he decided that I didn't need the boxty on my plate. He then proceeded to tell me that he'd told my friend that they had no boxty, only hash browns, which he also failed to mention when taking the order. To add insult to injury, I told him to bring me the hash browns. They never arrived by the time I'd finished eating. I don't expect any waiter to speak to me in the tone that this man did.
I paid €16.95 for 2 poached eggs, a small portion of smashed avocado, 1 tomato, a tablespoon of beans and 2 small pieces of gf toast. If the hash browns had actually arrived, the toast would have been extra! Tea is also extra at a whopping €4.50. It's a tea bag in a small pot of water! A flat white cost €4.95; tasty but not worth that plus I waited an eternity for it to arrive, having had to ask for it a second time. I was then told by the waitress that it was on its way. I doubt it takes over 15 minutes to make a flat white.
I will never eat here again. The prices are
outrageous and the food wasn't anything special. The restaurant was very busy and all I could think of was, fools and their money, myself included.

A bit expensive, but high quality, great taste, kind service.
Nice cocktails, amazing hummus with gluten free bread, crispy and fresh fish and chips!
If sitting outside do note that you are blocking half the pavement, and people might bump into your chair.
Used their catering service and it was fantastic, guests enjoyed all the options and a special mention for the gluten free option, would recommend for any event!
Treated my sister and her husband to a dinner for her first night on her honeymoon. The food was great however after specifically stating her allergy to gluten several times, the waiter offered a stated “gluten free” brownie for their dessert which she later found out was not at all gluten free. She spent the next 3 nights of their honeymoon extremely sick. The food and service was otherwise good but I would not recommend coming here if you have an allergy as they do not seem to take them very seriously
I’ve always enjoyed the food and service here. Last visit was a little disappointing, food seemed to lack that extra touch and was somewhat run of the mill. The gluten free options were limited due to cooking methods and cross contamination. Service was okay, but given it was quiet and very early it really wasn’t that much of an effort to accommodate us. Hope to see the spark back in this place, it is a gem usually!
This is a lovely little coffee shop attached to a shop. Cool bits and pieces. There isn't a lot of seating so we ended up outside which was lovely - like having a little picnic in the middle of town! They have some really good vegan, gluten free and healthy options too.

A wonderful meal, with location recommended. The staff were friendly and accommodated gluten free request. Able to eat a great selection of starters and mains with some minor changes. Dessert was a bit more limited but by the time I was happy to trade out for. Coffee and choose from great selection of dessert wines instead. Would definitely come back.
Was there today for a sandwich and a cup of coffee after trying two other cafes in the centre..both of which didn't do gluten free bread. Was delighted that this place did. Had a delicious fresh sandwich and the service was excellent..really friendly and helpful staff. My daughter and partner enjoyed theirs also. Will be back again!
The gluten free sandwich offering is gone. Perhaps I should be glad because although the bread was delicious, there was only one slice! Some of the salads don't contain gluten, I chose the egg and chicken one. The hard boiled egg was the best thing about it, followed by the French dressing. The chicken had a soft flimsy texture common with over-processing and there just wasn't enough of it. The salad also contained spinach and Endame beans and they do what it says on the tin! Overall, not enough food for the price I paid and I left hungry.
Me and my husband drive nearly an hour out of Dublin for these burgers! And the rosemary fries are to die for!! He's extremely coeliac and everything is gluten free! Best place for burgers and chips about. Come here at least once a month. Highly recommend 👌🏻
This is a little gem of a restaurant in Kilmacud. Delicious food - tonight I had excellent hake with scalloped potatoes and they make the BEST onion rings this side of the Liffey. Also plenty of gluten free options. Friendly and efficient service and the place is warm too. No sitting in a draught.
What a shame from a unique bakery into a soulless mass produced cafe... Lost all it's magic and appeal. Poor choice of deserts and limited gluten free. What a shame, owner needs to bring back the queens of tart!

The menu consists of 2 types of burgers, cheeseburger and hamburger. This makes choosing a lot easier for people with choice stress. They also have gluten-free burgers and they tasted very delicious (see photo), including gluten-free fries. Inside it is not very pleasant to dine for a long time (kind of like a more luxurious McDonald's, really aimed at eating quickly and leaving again), but if you want to quickly settle down, this is a perfect stop.
