What a great little gem to find.
We were on the cruise ship and it docked in Airlie Beach. We were looking for a decent coffee and Sidewalk Cafe was recommended on the map we were given by the hop-on hop-off bus.
When we arrived we were told that there was only 15 minutes till they closed. We were disappointed, but how good were the staff there. They suggested we sit down & look at the menu and order lunch asap. They had some great gluten free options so our decision to order was made easy.
Nothing was too much hassle even though it was right on close time.
The chicken burger was coated and gluten free. How excited was I to eat this delicacy.
The manager even made time to have a chat and we told her how great the service & food was. She is a valuable employee. (We know as we're self employed and have staff)

We went there 3 times in 4 days. Coffee and Matcha Latte with plant based milk, smoothie bowls (gluten-free granola upon request),
keto bowls, and smoothies with vegan protein powder. We had them all and loved them! The raw vegan and gluten-free cakes looked nice as well, but we were just too full to have a taste.
Whole staff was super nice! View is beautiful and seats are comfy.

Really lovely place — simple, looks out onto the marina. Food that isn’t overpriced and yummy! Had the all-day breakfast and an iced coffee, was great all around. Friendly, smiley staff, and GREAT if you’re a coeliac like myself, as nearly everything can be made gluten-free! Also great if you’re veggie/vegan.
a young brunette waitress treated my coeliac grandmother like a nuisance. ended up in an argument, with her interrupting and dismissing what we had to say, not happy.

Wow just wow! This place is awesome!
We (4 ladies) booked ahead of time for dinner on a Saturday night - that was an easy process & great communication given we were travelling from interstate. On the night we were delayed waiting for a cab but a quick call to say we were delayed was no dramas for the staff. we had an amazing dinner, ( local barramundi, meatballs & lamb ragout). Management & staff were super friendly & accommodated gluten free options for one of our ladies. Ordering in restaurant via online QR code & drinks at the bar directly was easy. Cocktails were great & the young guy playing live music was great. We ended up coming back for breakfast on Sunday morning & enjoyed chia bowls & a bacon/egg croissant.
