Got many vegan and gluten free options, but not my favorite in the city. They tend to be on the dense side and I haven’t encountered the friendliest staff. Easily accessible location though! And I do come here!
I got the vegan truffle burger with a GF bun and sweet potato fries. I told the cashier that I had a gluten allergy (celiac), and she reassured me that everything could be cooked on their GF grill. Pretty good!
Cute cafe near metro station with balance sweetness in their desserts and lots of gluten-free options. Staff is friendly and helpful in choosing right options ❤️
Amazing food, very healthy and fresh. Great choices if you follow a gluten free and/or vegan diet. The portions are massive. Go for the small ones, or get a big one and bring the leftovers home with you 😄
A good place to make a good "kit-kat" breakfast with natural and healthy products. Freshly made juices and great coffee.
There are several types of dishes, but they advise you very well.
Suitable for celiacs.
For the disabled they have a small step, but outside there is a terrace.
You must climb 4 very steep steps to the bathroom.
They speak several languages, including Spanish.
great service, super solid sandwich, and refreshing juice options. i would definitely return for breakfast if i had the chance. note: i usually can’t tolerate gluten in the US, but in europe i sometimes give it a shot. i had the regular multigrain bread and it digested fine for me
Pretty good food in a clean and trendy atmosphere. Being gluten free I was delighted by the gluten free flatbread it was so delicious with the tzatziki, the highlight of my meal. The watermelon salad was pretty good and the sea bass was okay.
Celiac friendly! The staff was very helpful and informative. They even used gloves and placed a baking paper on the toaster, which made me feel safer. Everything can be done gluten free :) It was very delicious and happy I could enjoy smørrebrød like everyone else! 10/10 recommended
Not a fan of this place, because of their pork-centric selection and lack of dairy free options. They have a few glutenfree options, so I did manage to get full, but I was freezing to the point of shaking while there. We were all wearing our coats while eating because the door didn't close properly and the staff didn't notice/bother to close it when customers forgot/didn't notice. Several times we went down to close the door, and that shouldn't be the guests job.
Sweet, small and down-to-earth restaurant. Good selection of vegan and gluten-free dishes too. The food was very tasty and the portion size was just right! Nice service, everything went very quickly
Recommendation 🤗
Went there for gluten free options but they were out of everything, servers were impatient. Had the vegan yogurt bowl which was decent just wish I could have tried more stuff.
Grød is an amazing restaurant serving a wide range of porridge and chia based breakfasts, or one-bowl lunches and dinners. Excellent for gluten free and vegan options. I believe there are 3 locations across the city, we ate at the Vesterbrogade restaurant.
My husband and I had breakfast here, he ordered 'Oat Porridge 1' (see menu photo) and I ordered the gluten free Red Berry Chia Special - perfect for me as I have coeliac disease. I dislike banana which came on the dish on the menu, and staff allowed me to switch this for a different topping (I chose toasted almonds).
We both enjoyed the food immensely, the ingredients are good quality and prepared with care by friendly restaurant staff.
I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for an affordable breakfast, lunch or dinner in Copenhagen - including people with coeliac disease or gluten intolerance. Vegan and gluten options are clearly marked on the menu - I took a photo of the menu.
We left the premises intoxicated. As celiacs, we asked about gluten-free dishes and they advised us after consulting with the kitchen. They ruined our trip, vomiting, diarrhea and two days in bed. Lack of professionalism, don't be fooled by the welcoming atmosphere and run away.
Delicious food and really good service. It is fine to have slightly shorter intervals for brunch, so that you can have a change at the buffet. That's probably why it all appears fresh and delicious. An added bonus was the option of fresh, crusty gluten-free bread. We will definitely come again :)
staff was very friendly and the food was amazing. didn't know open-faced sandwiches could possibly be that good! happy to admit i was wrong :)
they also have lots of glutenfree and vegetarian/vegan options.
coffee (latte) was also good.
Small café with really magic atmosphere...possibility to get gluten free panini...owners son has celiac disease, so She knows everything about GF špagety👍🙂
I have eaten several times in this establishment and the food is very good. For my taste, the best tapioca are Frango and vegan.
For celiacs it is a great option
The food tastes good and I'm glad they have gluten-free and vegan options. The workers are friendly, but in between there is a lot of waiting time. The atmosphere is nice, but there was no music when we were there.
Very lovely place! Staff is very attentive, special shout out to Amalia! The place is clean and has a nice ambience too. The food is amazing!! The portions of the food are massive and they take into consideration vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free too. Definitely recommend :)
My husband and I stopped for lunch and we had the loveliest experience and soon realized just how lucky we were to get a table as the restaurant is incredibly busy, and for good reason. We, both throughly enjoyed our delicious smørrebrod ( sandwiches) — shrimp with eggs and Camembert; mine on gluten free bread. The staff/servers were excellent and very welcoming.
The staff are very attentive and extremely friendly! There were plenty of gluten-free options for me, and we all enjoyed the food. Plus, the cafe's beautiful location! :)
If you've food allergies, beware!
I have strong intolerance for any milk products and gluten. The waitress was not great in knowing thr menu. When speaking, she suggested me dishes with sourdough several times even though I've said to her it contains gluten, her response was but it's sourdough...
The menu seems appealing to these who have special diets, that's why we've chosen this place. Unfortunately the staff was not really helpful.
Gluten or vegan versions available? We'll, not really. They just take away the ingredients and not adding anything instead, which for me is not an another option but just having less for the same money. I've asked about swapping some of the allergens and the answer was that I can do it and pay extra...
When asked for olive oil for the bread (as on menu it says they don't use butter if you ask for vegan) the waitress responded that they don't use it. We asked if they use vegan butter so I've got that.
I've got shakshuka which in itself was tasty. A bit weird because it was not really made as it should, they just fried eggs and topped it with tomato sauce, hasselnuts, pomegranate seeds and dates. Bit odd combination but actually worked! The position was half the plate so for 150kr/20euro I didn't fill myself.
After the meal I started to feel funny. I was asking another staff member if they've for sure used vegan butter, she ran to check with the chef and came back with the answer PROBABLY. When you deal with allergies and intolerances, probably isn't enough. When mentioned that I feel funky, her answer was that they've not used anything. I insisted that there was definitely some fat, butter or something as the bread was toasted, her response was that the cook fried the eggs on olive oil...
Would i be back? I highly doubt it.
Very tasty for brunch. However, you should make a reservation otherwise you will have to wait a while. But everyone was very nice and we were able to look at the menu while we waited. Unfortunately we sat in the passageway which made it a bit restless and loud. But the food was very good. Everyone could put together whatever they wanted. There were also gluten-free and vegan options. Just in my opinion there aren't enough vegan options. Unfortunately, there was only oat milk as a vegan option for the coffee.
The hostess graciously took time to learn my dietary modifications and ensure the avocado toast on gluten free bread looked beautiful and tasted delicious :)
Grod is great any time of day. Their sweet or savour options always satisfy and it’s complemented by the warm atmosphere. I recommend porridge 1 or the risotto. Very inclusive of dietary restrictions including vegan, vegetarian or gluten free
The food and prices are great. There's even gluten free options but they're not advertised in the menu. Originally we went for a burger and asked to get it without the bun but they replaced it with a gluten free bread instead
