I am visiting LA from Atlanta and both my best friend and I have celiac disease. It's usually a struggle finding high quality, delicious, safe food but this place was a pleasant surprise!! The ambiance is really welcoming and it feels very homey. Our server was very friendly and super accommodating to our allergies!! She helped us navigate the menu and we both loved our meals!! I definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a tasty, nutritious, home cooked meal. 10/10!!
We arrived on a Saturday morning to a very busy line, however, they took our order very quickly and were able to bring our food to our table very fast as well. The chilaquiles with the Maya sauce was fantastic. They also offer a gluten-free substitute for every crepe which is awesome. My son ordered one of their secret menu items and was very happy with it. Definitely coming back
Great service, cute atmosphere and healthy food choices. $10 milkshakes made with cashew milk. I thought it was ok but my hubby wasn’t fond of it. The gluten free vegan banana bread although healthy it tastes like it. I didn’t mind it but I believe some won’t tolerate it. Loved the vegan salad and hubby loved the vegan pancakes.
Very sweet place. Service was good. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The food was very good, with lots of options. There are vegetarian and gluten free options but no vegan options.
Hostess should learn how to greet customers with a smile.
Food arrived, but server did not come by to check on the orders. The gluten sensitive cheeseburger came wrapped in a cold lettuce leaves missing cheese, with a super thin slice of tomato, one tiny thin slice of pickle and a few shreds of red onion. Served on a cold aluminum plate it got cold within minutes. Meat was cooked through, but because it was almost cold and not enough of tomato nor pickle, and missed cheese, it did not taste well. I pointed out to the server my dissatisfaction, but the bill was only reduced by the cost of the cheese. Very disappointing. Used to be a very nice place to go about 10 years ago. Now it is less quality for more money.
I love this place!! Their vegan chicken avocado burger is AMAZING and it automatically comes on gluten free bread! The bread is so good, my wife who isn’t allergic to gluten even likes the bread. It’s so nice to have such a tasty vegan AND gluten-free option!
Saltcreek is the staple of Santa Clarita! Over 25 years ago I was in high school and I went on one of my first dates there. The consistency in the food and the quality of the service is unparalleled to any other place in town. Greg Amsler has created an incredible go to in town. His attention to detail and his heart for giving back in the community makes this restaurant stand out above all others. There is not a charity event I go to in town where Saltcreek is not the most generous contributor. Jennifer Chadwick is so gracious and lovely, at the same time runs that place like a well oiled machine. She always makes sure everyone is taken care of. There have been times where I have been completely okay with my food, but it didn’t meet her standards, so she took my plate and replaced it with brilliance I didn’t even know I needed in my life. They must do a personality test when they hire because everyone who works there is so enjoyable to interact with. I love all the servers there, but my favorite is Anthony. He has a serious face at first, but he always remembers what I like to drink and he knows my favorite foods and he remembers my severe gluten allergy. I specifically ask for him, but if he is not available, I am never disappointed. Joey is my favorite bartender. He knows exactly what I like. He makes the best Old Fashion in town and he can just look at me and know what I’m in the mood for. Saltcreek is very careful with my allergy. They make the best steak in town! Their goat cheese marinara is my favorite thing in the world. If you are keto or gluten intolerant, order grilled chicken with the goat cheese marinara dumped on top of it! It will change your life!! Mmmmm! I’m so hungry now.
We visited Marston's late one Sunday morning after a memory of a great experience years ago at their Pasadena location. Our diets and preferences have changed a little bit (ie my gluten-free wife was no longer going to order the blueberry pancakes which she remembers as being phenomenal) but we found an extensive menu with lots to choose from, and of course since it's a breakfast menu, we vegetarians had lots of options.
Minor initial disappointment in that the coffee was just okay. A little bit weak for my tastes. I like a super strong coffee and find that many breakfast places which, of course, have coffee, often don't prepare it right and it comes ot you as slightly flavored browned water. This was a little bit better than that, but, again, not as strong as I wanted it to be.
My wife and I both got egg dishes. I had the Just eggs with potatoes and an english muffin. These did the job and gave me the descent diner experience I was looking for. My wife thought the same for her florentine which she got without the English muffin as she is gluten-free.
It would be nice if they offered a gluten-free bread option of any kind.
Our kid had the soyrizo burrito which, even for his teenage metabolism, was generous enough in size that it lasted for 2 meals.
Marston's has a slightly more nicer/upscale vibe than your average diner in town and you can get just about anything you want for breakfast. We glanced at the dinner menu and there are definitely options for vegetarians too so we may give it a try one night!
They are well staffed, kind and energetic. They always get the order right. Try combo#5 and ask for a gluten free bun. It comes wrapped separately. Yum

I’m not vegan or gluten-free or anything like that, but after working out I crave something on the healthier side but still want it to taste great. Luckily I found Blossoms Sweet Kitchen and ordered their chocolate date bowl. OMG this was delicious. Tasted like dessert. The ingredients are such high quality, I honestly didn’t expect that out in an SCV food hall. And the bowl was beautiful too, just as advertised. I went back a week later and tried their mango gold smoothie. OMG again! Best mango smoothie ever. Tasted so fancy with the black peppercorn and turmeric and was just absolutely delightful. Def check this place out, it is incredible!
Delicious horchata iced latte and gluten free banana bread loaf! The black coffee is strong but not bitter and my boyfriend enjoyed his chocolate croissant. The staff was friendly and welcoming, will be excited to come by again.
We had a good experience at Black Bear Diner in Santa Clarita. It's a chain breakfast place where you can get lots of basic breakfast items in a bear-themed environment (without all the growling and mothers protecting their young which you get when real bears are around.)
The portions were huge so you definitely won't go hungry here and there are a million things to choose from, as well as plenty to eat for vegetarians, and gluten-free folks will do okay too. (Though the only gluten-free bread option is a hamburger bun.)
I had the "No Meat, Just the Eggs Please" which was a good amount of egg whites and an insane amount of crispy hashbrowns. They were cooked perfectly but lacked seasoning so were a bit bland. They were nice enough to sub a single "Sweet Cream Pancake" as my bread option. This was a generous-sized thing on its own and tasted as good as a pancake should.
The coffee was really good. Too often conventional breakfast places serve up weak coffee which just doesn't do the job. The mug they served me was filled with a bold, strong coffee that I would drink over and over. Well done!
Our kid enjoyed his breakfast burrito without meat...another giant portion which even he, with all his teenage eating prowess, could not finish.
And my wife was fine with her benedict meal served without bread (no gluten-free breakfast bread option.)
They did forget to bring our english muffin side until the end of the meal. We ended up packing it up and taking it with us with the rest of the leftovers.
It was a great surprise to have decent food, large portions, and really good coffee at a chain conventional breakfast spot. I'm a fan and will be back.

Appears to be a family run donut shop that has good quality donuts, pastries and deserts. They even typically have macaroons for customers that need something gluten free. Staff is helpful and courteous. Small operation. Prices are moderate. Quality is well above average for everything I've tried so far.

I had the Chicken Teriyaki Bowl with brown rice and gluten free Teriyaki Sauce! It was a nice sized portion, seasoned well, very filling and very tasty! Thank you!
Excellent and authentic food. The falafel was warm and crispy and the baba ganoush was perfectly smoky. I also loved the lavender lemonade! Service was great; our waitress was very attentive. Atmosphere is great for what it is. I enjoyed the foliage and string lights. Will be coming back. I am gluten free and there were plenty of well marked options.
