The food was okay, but about when you expect from here. Consistency in the averageness of it. But they have gluten free menu and even when you add in dairy free and oat free, there’s a couple menu options left so it’s a good spot for a celiac and allergy friendly date.
I’m only leaving a review because our server was exceptional. The hostess wrote her name for me - Fion. Very knowledgeable about the GF/DF options, friendly, and fast. Kind but not too chatty, and so quick since we had limited time. She absolutely deserves the shout out. Exceptional.
5/5. Food was quality and filling even though the portions look smaller. Amazing service, great atmosphere and gluten free options!! Great for someone with celiacs. The raspberry white mocha was good!
I live in the Seattle area and visit Muse every time I'm in town to see my mother. I love the coffee, the food, the ambiance, and that it's an lgbtq friendly space. My mother and I love going together to sip coffee or spicy chai and catch up. Their sandwiches are yum and they cater to gluten free needs. Outdoor seating is great too. Highly recommend to locals and visitors.
It was mediocre.... nothing exceptional. We had the eggplant parmesan, the lasagna, meatballs and a calzone. The eggplant parmesan was mostly breading and not much eggplant. The meatballs tasted like frozen meatballs from Sam's Club, nothing like homemade. The sauce was decent and they do have gluten free pasta. I wouldn't bother with this place, too many other options close by.
It’s always so refreshing to find a place that serves GF options, and so many delicious ones at that! It’s difficult to find places to eat as a Celiac. To top it off, the staff was very friendly and service-oriented.
My love affair with Dark Heart began in early 2019. I was a single mama with a toddler and a newborn who had to travel to Loveland from Longmont to meet with my therapist once a week (because mental health matters, y’all). To make these weekly meetings less painful, I sought out some dopamine in the form of caffeine ✨ After a quick google search, my sleep deprived self landed at Dark Heart—and thank Goddess! The Smokey Mocha became my crux during this time of my life. It is subtly sweet, dark and rich in mocha, but my favorite part is the smoked paprika and black salt topping. Such a balm for my soul. 6 years later, it’s my go-to for an emotional pick-me-up or a rainy day.
Now, I won’t say I moved to Loveland for Dark Heart, but I won’t say that I didn’t either 😉 alas, I found myself living here from late 2019-2020 and again from 2022-present. And I can say, with 100% certainty, that Dark Heart is a huge reason that I love Loveland. I visit Dark Heart several times a week—to my wallet’s dismay (but worth it!). I have started from the Smokey Mocha as my only love, and I have fallen for another by the name of the Not So Basic latte. She is slightly sweet with hints of vanilla and cinnamon in a perfect espresso with creamy oat milk (you have to request the oat—do it. You won’t be disappointed). I love her in all her forms—hot, cold, doesn’t matter. I especially love ordering extra sweet or with extra ground cinnamon (because I’m extra).
An honorable (non-coffee) mention is the Midsummer Matcha on their summer menu… get it iced with oat milk. Thank me later.
Ok, so the coffee is great, but the staff… they’re even better. In all my years of coming here, I’ve only been met with kindness and consideration. They remember my name (seriously, without fail), and I’ve had many a lively chats with various baristas over the years while waiting for my drinks. I also love that AJ (the co-founder) is often working behind the counter too—it shows how passionate and invested she is in the business, and I imagine it creates a sense of non-hierarchical equality for her staff. I also remember the days when Justin could be found behind the counter too 🩵
The vibe is definitely more hip and modern, and I love it. My kids love finding the little lemur looking creature around the shop—he moves around from time to time (don’t worry, he doesn’t bite…). The bathrooms are always clean (a huge win when kids need to use them), and the overall cleanliness is 1000 times better other coffee shops in town… (I only go to other coffee shops for gluten free donuts 😬 because Dark Heart ruined my ability to enjoy lattes made elsewhere 😅)
In conclusion of this novel that you didn’t ask for but you received anyways, I am forever grateful to have stumbled upon this gem 6+ years ago, and I hope to continue being able to enjoy really f***ing good coffee served by really f***ing awesome people for years to come 💗
The food in general is good — not great, but I don’t expect that from fast food places. My wife got the gluten-free bun for her grilled chicken, though, and they forgot it. After charging $1.70 for it. And then when she took a couple of bites, my wife tossed the bun. “Cardboard would taste better than this” were her exact words. So don’t bother with the GF bun.
Great food, delicious cocktails and beer selection. Our waiter was extremely friendly. We enjoyed and would recommend the flatbread pizza, Nashville hot chicken (good heat, but not better than our favorite), kids grilled cheese and fries (mmm unique shape these are so good), special burgers, and gluten free options. Loved the hand painted wall around the booth, but the atmosphere could be less bright, find ways to pull people on more.
So thankful for them having Gluten-Free options! They are my go to when I am running errands and need a snack. Their chai (esp egg nog chai) is the best of all the drive-thrus in town. Service is always great and I don't think I have ever left without a smile! :)
Nothing in the cases and only 3 loaves of bread ready. Gluten free is all pre-order. Why isn't there anywhere in NoCo to get a gluten free loaf of bread that is ready and fresh baked?!?
I usually go to starbucks for the app convenience, but this was on my way this morning so I decided to try it. IT WAS PHENOMENAL! Much much better latte than starbucks. They have so many flavor choices that most coffee shops don't have. I got a cherry almond latte and i can't stop thinking about how good it was. I've also tried the lavender latte before and it is also very good. I'm gonna start going out of my way to go here. I also love how many gluten free food options there are 🥰 keep up the fantastic work!
Best pizza in town! Pepperoni is my personal favorite. I love the individual size options and also you can build your own! They have veggie and gluten free options as well. You can also order to go if you don’t want to sit in the bar atmosphere and they also have outdoor seating options, as well as ordering outside if you wish to not go in at all.
It’s a cozy little shop and all the food is AMAZING. My gluten free friends loved the gluten sensitive cinnamon rolls and the blueberry lemon breakfast cake is to die for. The owner is also super nice and came around to say hi to us while we were eating. Will definitely be back when we’re in the area
Food was good, but WAYYYYYY overpriced. Like double what it should be given the portions! The gluten free bun was pretty dry, fries overcooked/burnt, and dairy free shake was too runny. $22 + tip for my 3 piece meal 😕 The flavors were good, but don't think I'll be back given the price and portion size. Good to know they offer vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free options 😋
And accountability. I've been in here multiple times only because it's the only IHOP near me. The management really needs to step up. You walk in the door and the children who work there who barely speak English can't even properly greet customers nor tell them when to sit down as you have to wait for to be seated unclean tables. A lot of the wait staff don't even understand their menu and the difference between gluten and gluten-free.. I still like IHOP just because I like the menu. I like the fact that they have gluten free. But this one restaurant needs to work on their customer service and their cleanliness of their tables. Remember to always greet your customers within 30 seconds and to service them immediately
Not much available for those with dietary restrictions, at least when ordering through the app. It's surprising that a chain this big doesn't offer gluten-free bread, gf pancakes, etc. I also happen to not be able to eat potatoes, which comes in or with almost every dish. Disappointmenting and frustrating. Tried to order something from here twice and end up choosing somewhere else. Otherwise I'd end up paying $12 for 2 eggs and bacon.
If you're lucky enough to get in, you'll have great service and excellent portions. After going here several times with various disparate groups of people, I can say that there's enough variety for most. I would be hesitant to recommend this if you have vegan people with you, but vegetarians and gluten free people should be fine.
Unfortunately the lighting is ugly and there's almost no regard for aesthetics, but at least there's good (and affordable) photography on the walls.
We hired Fresh Plate to cater food and beverages (both alcoholic and non), at our wedding of ~95 people including vendors, and we were thoroughly impressed. They managed to create a mouthwatering brunch assortment that looked gorgeous, was 100% gluten free, easily accommodated our vegetarian and vegan guests, and tasted amazing. They can also make some mean (flavored) mimosas; our parents are still talking about them over a month later! It was also super convenient that they provided linens, napkins, dish ware, and lots of other catering accessories that might be easy for a stressed out couple to miss. I would highly recommend them, and hope to taste their food again in the future.
The BEST people working here! Fun, joyful, kind! I’ve never been served by someone who wasn’t happy! Also such great Gluten Free options!!! Love to see it! Great coffee too!
Amazing drinks and the service is so good! The workers there are so sweet and I will be going there everyday! I love how you can go into that Ziggi’s and sit down because I can do my work while also enjoy delicious food and drinks. My daughter is also gluten free and she says the gulton free food is amazing!
They have food I can eat as a Celiac. Staff are great! Try a latte with cinnamon or nutmeg steamed into the milk.
Bathroom cleaner is a bit heavily used and the whole store can smell like a clean bathroom with some soap not rinsed away. Not the worst thing but a bit much.
Beautiful building with views and a gorgeous outdoor space. The menu is creative and uses lots of fresh ingredients. Staff were very accommodating to vegetarian and gluten-free members of our group. There are so many great options for shareables and lighter fare, and I love meeting friends and coworkers for drinks here.
We had Big Fork cater gluten/dairy free lime cilantro rice and chipotle style shredded chicken for our large event of 165 people. The food was delicious! We were so impressed and had so many people comment on how great the food was. Highly recommend!
Had the country omelette and biscuits and gravy. Country on that came with homemade sausage gravy which was awesome because my husband cannon laundry to eat gluten in the biscuits. They were kind enough to sell me a side of homemade spiced apples that were part of the lunch special. Yummy!
Great spot! Interesting and unique waffle flavors. Just learned they have a gluten free option! Only disappointment is No option to get REAL maple syrup!!! Crappy corn syrup mix that made my waffle taste decrease! Darn! Please offer an up charge for real maple syrup!!!
