We came here for Father’s Day after I heard they had gluten free and egg free options. My husband has a gluten allergy and my son has an egg allergy, which can make eating out challenging and sometimes more stressful than it is worth. However, that was not the case at The Tea Kettle our server was amazing and double checked everything. The tomato soup and grilled cheese were as good as they looked.
Always a great experience dining at Paperback. The staff is so kind and accommodating and the service is quick…plus they have delicious food, catering to various allergies. Love the gluten free pancakes!
My favorite Brunch destination!
They have EVERYTHING!
Bring your appetite because you will need it. It is like having breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert all in one place.
An example of my first plate was Prime rib, Ham, stuffed duck, tortellini, vegetables.
My daughter who has ciliac came back with a gluten-free waffle! I was shocked! We all took 1 bite of it and headed over to get our own! There was a bourbon maple syrup to drench it as well as many fruits and chocolate chips...you name it.
If you want an omelette they have a station that has everything.
You want cheeses and cured meats they have it.
Salmon and bagels and shrimp cocktail!
I had wanted to take my kids there many years ago and insisted we had to go on my birthday this year. My adult children were beside themselves. They could not believe the food choices and the quality and frankly the price per person is reasonable.
They have something for everyone!
The prices in the menu are NOT what they charge on the final bill. Confirm before you sign your check!
We came because safe place for Celiacs to eat, food and margaritas are decent.
However, the prices in the menu DO NOT reflect what was on our bill. We caught the $8 overage on the pitcher of margaritas (because we discussed the cost to split it prior). Our server fixed that when we pointed it out. Afterwards, discovered two of our three entrees were also over charged by $2 & $5, which was not fixed by our server when we asked her to adjust the margaritas.
As a former server, this seems like a scam by the restaurant and not intentional from our server.
If you do eat here, keep a menu on the table and check your bill against it for EVERY ITEM! We would have paid an additional $15, had we not done this!
Some of my family were in town visiting New England. We had them meet us at this restaurant. There was eight of us and we all drove an almost an hour and let me tell you it was a perfect evening. The staff was on point. Savannah was our waitress ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The food was incredible. The atmosphere was perfect to talk and catch up. It was comfortable and very accommodating. My (gluten free) mother was handed her own GF menu, which was excellent.
After dinner, we went into the parking lot and in the back of the property there are goats chickens and beehives. They sell fresh honey and candles and the kids had a blast checking out the baby goats and feeding the chickens feed from the coin operated dispensers. We got some great pictures at the sunset as the string lights they have everywhere began turning on.
Also to note- my 94-year-old grandmother raved about their chili, my son loved the meatloaf grilled cheese and I loved the ahi-tuna avocado burrito. And their Mac and cheese options are out of control. Overall it was a really special time in a “can’t wait to go back” restaurant.
You should make a reservation
Service & food was very good! Didn't wait long to be seated even though Pantheon Diner was busy. Got coffee in an old timey cup & saucer instead of a mug. That was a surprise. Must have been right at 8 ounces because I usually take 3 creamers & 3 sweeteners but only two of each fit. As a coffee drinker it matters but that's ok cause refill is a coming. Um, coffee is not strong. A bit on the watered down side to me but could be just me.
Price a little more than expected ($$) but New England, I'm learning, is like that. (Moved from Vegas so if you've been, you know full breakfasts or buffets can be VERY inexpensive).
I ordered their 3 egg cheese omelet which included home potatoes & toast. I asked for gluten free toast which was very good. Potatoes were oh so tasty! I love spuds & broke my keto diet to eat them,...I'm bad.
NOW, the omelet. Needed
1: something else other than onion, perhaps bell pepper, or seasoning? Or option thereof. and
2: the cheese, I believe was (gag) 'American' cheese OR (not so gag) less quality Monterey Jack cheese. The cheese was flavorless and looked like melted white plastic goo.
It was still palatable because eggs were tasty but the cheese didn't enhance the flavor at all and probably could have been left out.
Another quirk was my husband ask for sourdough bread toast instead of their regular toast. 75 cents extra for sourdough toast?? Other places either don't charge extra or that much! Seriously? Seemed odd to us especially since my hubby barely could taste it was sourdough. Almost wonder what the other toast is. Darn, I forgot to ask him if they charged that for my gluten free.
But the home potatoes made it! So good even my hubby said we'd go back for the potatoes lol
The servers were very nice and attentive. The food didn't take long to arrive at all.
I like the old timey ambience in diners. They feel like the world use to feel like. Warm, familiar, safe with something good coming your way. Go to Pantheon, just ask about the cheese & toast options first, lol. Written by Steve's wife, Fatima Perry
Really impressed with the quality of treats and service. It would be really cool if they had a gluten-free section where they highlighted and made very clear. What’s gluten-free and what’s not and if they don’t have any, it’ll be really cool if they can make some I didn’t see any when I was in there. Lots of great stuff for people that eat gluten ended up getting a friend of mine a lot of pastries she loves the place.
