Unbelievable!!! A must stop! Everything is GF!!!! Got a bumpy cupcake (choc cake with best frosting dipped in Choc ). Got tons to fly home with including blonde brownies, cake pops, loaf of bread, challah rolls, and they had packaged vanilla wafers i couldnt resist. I wish they shipped , but understand. Will return lots when anywhere near Rumi’s!
Absolutely incredible every time! My spouse and I make the long drive up from Cincinnati, Ohio every couple of months just to experience the joy of an allergy friendly breakfast! We are both cross-contamination sensitive celiac, as well as having some other odd (and common!) allergies between us, such as apples, eggs, and peanuts. Anna's House handles this all with no problem! We have never had a single reaction eating here. This time we had the pleasure of meeting Sharlet, who came out to our table to personally deliver our food, reassuring us that everything was safe, and even listed some of the ingredients for us! She was incredibly warm, kind, and happy to get to know us, as well as incredibly knowledgeable about the food she was serving us! Anna's house has separate preparation areas as well as the cutest little 'ALLERGY' picks that they place in your food so you KNOW it's safe! Thank you anna's house, but especially thank you to Shar, who made us feel so welcome and safe.
Amazing place! It is so hard to find a place my daughter can eat due to her celiac. She told me a month ago that all she wanted was a donut, and not a frozen one. You made that come true!! Wish you were closer to us so we could be back!
This location means a lot to me because the staff always takes such great care of me when I come in, remembers my name, some of the servers remember my order by heart. Managers are very nice and personable. Their coffee is the best coffee of any restaurant I have been too. Great food and service on a consistent basis. I highly recommend trying it out especially if gluten free or vegan.
Unbelievable food and the variety and it being allergy friendly was much appreciated! They were closing at 9 PM and let us put in a carryout order at 8:30, and even eat it at nine in the restaurant. Chicken and waffles were superb, the burger and GF FUN was one of the best, pork with topped sweet potato made another in our party. Extremely happy! . I can see why people drive an hour to get this healthy , delish and everyone in their reasonable food! We were driving from Sandusky, OH to Plymouth MI, the drive was gorgeous too. Beautiful area its located, many gf desserts when we went too! Super grateful!
If you’re in the Holland area cruise on over to Anna’s House you will not be disappointed! The menu is diverse with unique offerings with a plethora of gluten free and vegan options. I had The Cooks sandwhich and hime fries , my friend the Lemon Poppyseed Crepes. All ample portions . The food was really fantastic , you’ll love this place !
Anna's House is the best place for brunch! Fun, bright, 1950s retro vibe, unique (and classic) brunch dishes, and they have tons of options for various dietary needs (vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, ect.) I have relatives that have a severe intolerance to gluten, and they love going to Anna's House when they visit because they have a separate kitchen to cook orders for those with allergies. They have mentioned that it might take a little longer, but that hasn't been my experience even when they are quite busy.
Born out of her parents’ kitchen in Milford late-2012 Lisa Ludwinski has earned national recognition at Sister Pie, the story of hard-work and triumph as “blue collar” as Detroit itself though the corner lot on Kercheval Avenue remains humble even now.
Built on loans, grants and friendship, plus a 24-hour dance marathon in 2015, guests entering Sister Pie will quickly note a sizable workspace filled with women, many taking time to greet patrons or offer suggestions of items tucked away on a table behind glass.
Willing to take a stance on environmental issues and workers’ rights, a no-tipping policy utilized to assure equality in pay plus biodegradable packaging and composting a priority, choices change daily but always include Cookies such as the Wheat-free Buckwheat Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Golden Raisin and smoky-smooth Peanut Butter Paprika.
Not forgetting a “Sandwich Cookie” that looks like two bite-sized Biscuits around Buttercream, a favorite recommended by friends who’ve taken one of Lisa’s baking classes, suffice it to say Sister Pie’s “From Another Galaxy Brownie” lives up to its name while being both gluten-free and vegan while the Strawberry Cornmeal Scone was an edible snapshot of late-Summer.
Obviously not forgetting some eponymous slices, two of four available this day, Salted Maple spins Canada’s classic beautifully on an all-Butter Crust while The Banana Pete puts a mountain of Meringue and crumbled Cookies on a Banana Custard base.
I was traveling a did a to go order. I got 3 pieces of fried chicken, French fries, and a brownie. The French fries were amazing. The chicken was less than stellar. The chicken itself was good but the breading was inedible. It was hard and brown and flavorless. The brownie was okay. Happy to get gluten free food, not worth the 40 price tag for 3 pieces of chicken, French fries and a brownie.
Excellent amount of selections, but everything is frozen with no fresh options. Overall we tried 10 different options and while each was pretty good, nothing was as great as some other celiac places we’ve been. This is a good option for celiac and gluten free people. Best items were the coffee cake and the brownies.
The food was cold, the waitress’s finger was touching our food and she rearranged some bacon on a plate with her fingers. I lost my appetite after seeing the poor hygiene of some of the waitresses. There was coughing without mouths covered. We also asked for a gluten free dish that when came, was not gluten free. Overall the food would’ve been enjoyable if it was served at the right temperature.
This established brunch place was unusually not busy early one winter weekend at the original downtown Detroit location. My vegetarian omelet was a decent but my friend raved about her gluten free eggs benedict. Service was good and fast. It was quite a bit busier when we left.
I was lucky enough to find a street space but there are plenty of lots and garages within 5 minutes walking
Our first time here and it was amazing. I do have a gluten allergy and it was easy to accommodate that. Our server was Mariah and she was really nice and insightful with options for my allergies. I was even able to order a strawberry smoothie to go.
The service was exceptional. Julia A was one of the best servers I've had in my life time! The rest of the staff was overly friendly, but it's genuine!
My lady is gluten free and I've never seen her so happy! So many options! I tried her food, and it was delicious! My food was fantastic as well!
Next time we're in town, we're coming back here for sure!
Visited for the first time on a Friday around 6pm. Ordered the lamb burger, gluten-free with sautéed onions, fries, 10/10! Boyfriend had the carnivore burger, sweet potato waffle fries, and a milkshake, loved it all. Great staff. Decor style gives throwback vibes from various decades but I like the eclectic and slightly dive-y feel. The main entrance looks like a back door — could use a welcome sign there. The wait for food was long but almost every table was full. I look forward to going back and trying out some brunch options!
This is a great spot with a lot of options. It’s hard to find gluten-free options in the UP, but they had gluten-free bread with vegan options. They made sure to ask what my dietary restrictions were so they could prepare the food separately. Highly recommend. There is a very fun book selection, too.
We brought a challenge to Babycakes of creating a gluten, dairy, egg and processed sugar free cake for my wife's birthday. They experimented with a couple options and finally created a chocolate cake with vanilla frosting using local honey as the sweetener. It was delicious and a huge hit for the party. We were especially grateful because finding that kind of dessert is pretty rare around here and they were willing to expand on what they'd previously offered. So if you have something out of the norms for baked goods, they should be the first place you check out.
Breakfast Club offers Gluten Free items and I'm always craving good French Toast. I was able to order the Strawberries and Cream stuffed french toast Gluten Free and it was delicious. I was scraping my plate clean. My son had a quesadilla and loves it also. And he was thrilled that instead of a mint with the bill, they brought a chocolate covered strawberry for each of us. It's a cozy little place. You may end up having conversation with your table neighbor like we did. I will return it I'm out that way again. I did drive 20 minutes out of my way to go and it was well worth it!

The food was great. We went there for Sunday brunch and it is hard to talk since it was very noisy. The server was very kind and tell us which ones are gluten free.
This has been my go-to coffee spot for years! They have delicious coffee and donuts, along with other baked goods that work for those with dietary restrictions (gluten-free, vegan)!
The Flint Crepe Company had a lot of selections for regular diets and Gluten Free. They also had oat milk. My daughter has several food allergies and she was able to enjoy her breakfast.
My spouse and I went out for dinner on Friday night and were pleasantly surprised with how amazing our meal was. He has a gluten intolerance, and there were so many items on the menu for him to enjoy. I loved the mushroom strogonoff, and our drinks were delicious.
Cozy restaurant in the city with great energy and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
They serve good coffee, also decaf too and teas. Thoughtfully curated menu with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Great for breakfast, brunch and lunch.
The space is bright and filled with natural light, thanks to its corner location and large windows.
The ambiance is enhanced by good music, and everything is kept clean, tidy, and spotless.
There’s also a charming little shop inside, offering unique finds like books, oils, coffee, artisanal foods and curious articles.
Laptops are welcome, making it a perfect spot to work, read, write, or simply catch up with friends over a meal or a cup of coffee.
The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, adding to the overall warmth and positive vibe of the place.
I would definitely come back!

Ordered tomato bisque (minus croutons) and french dip sandwich on gluten free hoagie roll (minus the au jus since not gluten free) substituted sides for gluten free tortilla chips that the server said would be from a different bag/area for no cross contamination. He also made sure to mark my order with a SEVERE ALLERGY notice to ensure that all allergy protocols were taken and when food arrived he walked me through how it was all prepared and that the bread and chips were different from my counterparts since it was gluten free. Great food, good service, would recommend.
The best part of this place is that they accommodated my wife’s gluten allergy. She was able to eat gluten free pancakes with no worries. The breakfast buffet was ok. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t wow factor either. The fruit in the buffet was the best part. Seemed fresh. Pancakes were buffet pancakes. I mean what do you expect from pancakes sitting under a bulb. I think fresh pancakes from the menu would be the better option.
One downside was there were a few gnats and flies around the table that wouldn’t leave. Not saying this place is dirty by any means. Because you cannot avoid that anywhere.
Love this place, this has become our "go to"! Our family members that are local took us here when our daughter was transferring to U of M and we must go back every time I visit. They have yummy gluten free options too! Highly recommended!
Delicious food and cocktails, friendly service, casual but elevated atmosphere. Very accommodating of allergies/gluten free. Solid choice for friends, family or date night!
I eat here all the time! The food is fantastic, the atmosphere gives a cozy hipster vibe, and the drinks are amazing. You can watch them make everything you order, and you can customize the ingredients is basically everything. They even have gluten free and vegan options. I have started asking for wild combos and the staff is amazingly adaptable and even when I over order on the crèpe fillings (purposefully) they manage to still make it delicious and hold together. I’m not a big fan of coffee but the rest of their drinks are equally as good as I hear their coffee is. Lightning Lemonades (or Lightning Arnold Palmers) are the best way to get your energy for the day. Aside from the taste, the ever changing specials menu is awesome and makes for a different experience every time you go. If the Gyro is the special it’s mandatory to eat here several times a week, I don’t make the rules. Finally if you are sitting at the bench windows you can look out at the Soo Locks, watching the giant freighters come and go, a perfect view for locals and tourists alike.
Such a great place! Beautiful scenery, great food! Plenty of parking out back!
This was our 2nd time here & very pleased, can't wait to return again. I highly recommend this place. They do have Gluten-free bread so all sandwiches ate available, omg the potato salad is so good it's the best I've ever had, smoked bacon is in it so that flavor is what makes it the best!
Atmosphere was amazing, such a cool place. Unfortunately my filet was WAY overcooked, shells in the lobster bisque, and cocktails were all sickly sweet. Still a good experience but for such an amazing location I would hope for a better dining experience. Also some confusion about gluten free options which left me nervous as someone with Celiac but luckily I ate the filet, bisque, and Panna Cotta and was fine after.
