New favorite spot! A family member has celiac and we are able to eat here safely - gluten free and safe from cross contamination! Aside from that, the food is absolutely incredible. Unassuming exterior but the vibe inside is great. Service was also top notch.
First time here and we loved it. We came for breakfast ..the food was delicious, very friendly staff and fresh squeezed orange juice that was amazing. For the gluten sensitive like me, the GF waffle was actually better than about any other regular waffle I've ever had! We have a new favorite place while we're in town visiting! 🤘
I love to go here with friends for coffee and pastry. My favorite is the chocolate walnut cookie. It's a huge amount of walnuts held together with chewy, tasty chocolate cookie. It doesn't matter to me but it is gluten-free. Several of the items change seasonally. I have had excellent mini coffeecakes, scones and muffins in various flavors. Their plain croissants are my favorite in town. I often get a sandwich (usually on a croissant!) or salad to go for later. The quiche flavors change as well. Today was my first quiche from here. Not only was it a huge piece but the eggy part was so fluffy, the crust was flaky and the chunks of ham were a nice size. I'll be getting quiche again!! The only downside is the place is popular so parking and getting a table can be difficult at certain times. They do have outdoor seating so when the weather is good, tables are easier to find.
We ate here for lunch on Sunday and it was delicious. They have awesome gluten free options. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was hot and yummy. The tables were social distanced and everyone we saw was wearing masks. We'll definitely eat here again.
The service was as amazing as their food. It felt like having a delicious home cooked meal made by good friends. The teas were amazing 🤩…. The injera brings me back every time. I love that it’s fermented, gluten free and has protein so you can enjoy the vegetarian meal and still feel extremely satisfied
My friends and I went to First Watch Friday morning, and we had a great experience! The waitress was patient as we took time to decide what we wanted. I loved that First Watch had gluten free bread available so I could enjoy the French Toast. It was delicious, and I hope to see more GF substitutions available in the future. If you need a refreshing and immune boosting juice, the morning meditation juice will hit the spot (must like ginger to enjoy!) Another great experience and meal!
We had a large gathering with a dog. They were so accommodating to food allergies as well as to our dog. They have a pet menu and our dog loved the pupwich. The gluten free bun was great. The food was delicious. It was a cold night but the heated patio was cozy. It was my first visit, but certainly not my last.
Very tasty food. Not a lot of gluten free options, though what they had was delicious. They are also aware of general food allergies and could adjust well. The Baja Bowl with carnitas was delicious.
Walked in, I rang couldn't see what i could have due to wheat issues, the young lady said, everything except for the taboulah and the regular wrap bread. She even changed her gloves and wiped everything down. The panini was amazing!!! A gluten-free panini!!! Yes please!!
Has great gluten free options of grilled chicken sandwiches with gluten free bun and grilled chicken nuggets. The French fries are also fried in their own fryer so they are safe for us to eat.
Not a huge fan of sweets/desserts but have a taste for them every now and again. So when I do want them , I want them freshly made with care. I have been following the local page before official opening and planned to drop by soon. When a friend saw it on a delivery app this past Friday night, I said "let's go for it"! I have a family with different food allergies and dietary limitations (dairy, eggs, vegan, gluten, etc), this seemed worth a try. I was definitely skeptical and even more so because we were getting it delivered. We got a traditional roll with cream cheese, and caramel apple pie roll. Thrilled to even be able to get vanilla soy milk with order. Rolls were delivered and were even still warm and amazing! Will continue to order, definitely come by in person, and recommend to others!
Terrific place in downtown Cary. Had many options for gluten free, vegetarians and vegan diners. The patio was great and had a nice view of the town park. A good walking spot after dinner.
Always full but for a good reason!! This place has many different choices so there is something for everyone. I am Celiac and they have gluten free toast as well as shrimp and grits. Very tasty and wonderful staff to take care of you.
Great food, and it came quickly. We were a group of 6, 2 gluten-free. Desert took a while but the staff did not rush us. The manager even stopped by the table once,
I’m giving 4 stars because the food was good. But we didn’t have a great first experience here! We had a coupon for bogo for literally ” any item on the menu” and the coupon had the menu on the back. We called and ordered 2 lunch ACPs (from the menu on the back of the coupon), and when we got there they claimed it “wasn’t a menu item” so the coupon didn’t apply (???). There were no exclusions listed on the coupon. Just from a customers perspective—that is not a good first experience at a restaurant. My husband talked with the lady there for like 10 minutes and they still wouldn’t honor their own coupon. It’s not about the cost or the coupon, but the principle of customer service. Now we won’t be as likely to come back, whereas if we were treated better, we definitely would because the food was good! (Also, on a positive note, they do have gluten free options labeled on the menu, which is very much appreciated.)
Everything from the service to the food is top notch. Being gluten free usually puts a damper on fine dining but not at Herons. We go every 3 months for new menu changes. It is so worth it!
