This was me & my family’s first time at 44 Mills, and we will be back again! We absolutely loved the drinks, food, and service. I highly recommend the gingerbread espresso martini, lavender lemonade for the non-alcohol peeps and the roasted chicken breast :) They were also very accommodating with the gluten free menu! Madison and her trainee were amazing, really attentive and so so sweet! We had such a good time :)
Travel and having family members with true celiac disease issues do not mix well. But when we showed up with our questions at the Wood Fired Grill, we were greeted by Diamond at the bar who let us know that some items on the menu could be prepared safely for my husband and daughter. We made our reservation right then; We were there on Father’s Day, but we were also celebrating our daughter’s 13th birthday. Meagan in dining made sure everything was prepared separately from myself and my other daughter, as we have no food allergies. And when we told her the birthday girl has celiac’s disease, she let us know that their brownie dessert was made gluten free, as well. Meagan went out of her way the entire time to make them feel comfortable and confident dining here. We almost never get chances to eat as a family in restaurants together because there’s rarely any way things can be prepared separately for them. Meagan and Diamond never made us feel awkward and that meant the world to us, as well. Please forward our thanks to them and the entire dining team, whom were all pleasant that evening. It was so great to find knowledgeable staff who made it so I didn’t have worry at all that my wolf pack would feel ill after a meal.
ordered gluten free toast with sausage. Both were cold - the butter didn't melt! French toast tasted stale. Had to ask twice for syrup. Split my husbands omelette since at least that was served fresh and hot. When I said something all I was was a sorry. Still had to pay for it! $47 dollars later what a waste!!!!
Worth the walk. Downtown Concord free parking is just a short walk from this location. We walked in after 10:00 PM and we're immediately welcomed. Great menu recommendations and willingness to customize preparation. Gluten free selections. Incredible pesto. Great Marina sauce and flavorful meatballs. Open late when most every other place in the area is closed. A New York Italian vibe with food to leave you satisfied and smiling.
Delicious! I am SO excited to have another little place with gluten free options in downtown Concord. 🎉 (Not sure about celiac options, the staff is very friendly and seemed to do well with answering questions though.) The GF brioche roll was amazing!
It's been awhile since I last ate at the Sweet Spot. I will be the first to admit that my expectations were pretty low. However, I was shocked to see that they were packed on a Sunday morning. Thankfully we were able to be seated immediately at what looked to be the last available table. I took that as a good sign.
We sat for awhile before our server came to greet us. We hadn't realized that the menu was via a QR code on the table. Once I pulled it up, I was pleasantly surprised to see a menu that was a bit more elevated than the traditional diner food that I remembered before. Just a note that the menu definitely favors carnivores.
I ordered the Cali Breakfast Bowl but switched out the cheese and asked for my bacon on the side, which I gave to my son. My daughter ordered the fruit crepe. My son was happy to take advantage of the gluten free French toast. The food was good. My kids ordered an iced chai with oat milk and a hot chocolate with oat milk. Neither were blown away. So I probably would stick to basic drinks like juice or coffee.
All of the servers appeared to be high school/ college girls. They were all polite.
I have no issues with returning again in the future.
