Recently moved to Williamsburg and decided to try Capitol Pancake House since they advertise having Gluten Free (GF). The place reminds me of an old school diner with the yummy diner food. However, Capital Pancake House has GF pancakes and waffles, which are large and GREAT!!! This is fabulous because if you are GF, you know you normally have to make these items at home yourself. There are other GF items on the menu – but nothing that involves a fryer (no dedicated fryer). Our server was knowledgeable regarding GF and made sure that everything on our plates were GF. We are looking forward to eating there again.

This place was excellent. The food was so good I made a return trip the next day. Every plate I saw came out looked good. The mimosas were on point. There was no wait time to go in. The wait staff were very helpful recommended items based on your taste choices. Prices were reasonable. Large gluten-free menu. It's definitely a must visit. I will go back again.

We were greeted by a grumpy hostess/bar tender who, even though there were four open seats at the bar said they're policy is not to seat parties of food at the bar. Meanwhile we wait 20 minutes and people behind us in line get seated. Our server, Ashley, redeemed our experience, as did the food. They have gluten free bread and cauliflower flatbread substitutions that were really good. The gf breakfast flatbread was very good. Evening was very fresh and well-prepared. The gluten-philes at my table enjoyed their pancakes and whatnot. The streamed apple cider with caramel, cinnamon, and whipped cream was super good.
