An okay diner it feels kinda tight and is loud but the fact it's gluten friendly is a big plus and on top of that the food tastes absolutely amazing, which is hard without gluten. Coffee was not fun and it was super busy. Overall it's a cute place every once in awhile, though I don't think you'd want to make it a regular spot.

The Next Act is the quintessential third place. The staff is always welcoming and make you feel like you're at friend's place, not a restaurant. And their gluten free fish and chips is a real treat for those of us with Celiac 🥰

Against All Grain Benny was by far the best eggs benedict I’ve ever had. Got the spicy hollandaise and it was just the right mild spice. The Brussel sprouts were sweet, carmelized and pure perfection. Vegan and gluten free which was perfect. I will be back to try other vegan GF items.

We had take out. The gluten free chicken club and spicy pickle soup were so good but the gluten free carrot cake was AMAZING!

Always delicious and fresh, fast service. A true gem . (Last months visit) Today's visit. After waiting a month to return here with my family, I am very let down . I need to amend my review from 5 stars to 2 to reflect on today's visit. I had an awful experience by Greg, the owners son. We were treated poorly and without respect at all. How embarrassing to be argued with in front of the entire café. After explaining to him about the foods quality and taste, I was treated as though I was not being truthful. I asked for a 1/2 gluten-free turkey sandwich with everything but tomatoes and lettus and a cup of soup. The food was brought out it was a whole sandwich. I mentioned that i only ordered 1/2 and then was told after it came out that "they don't do 1/2 sandwiches for gluten-free bread," and there were no sprouts. (Instead of letting me know when I ordered) I took one bite and couldn't even eat it as it was dry and the turkey meat was a large amount of dark, bruised meat and a tiny bit of white where it wouldnt even stay on the bread, in comparison to my last visit where it was the best sandwich I ever had, I was very disappointed and let down today. Also, for being charged $32 for a breakfast for my mom and sister it was cold and over priced for 3 eggs and 8 pieces of meat, cold potatoes and dry toast. Also, none of the kitchen staff were wearing hair nets or gloves, and I witnessed one cook wipe his nose with his finger and then on his apron. 🤢 The other 2 staff members we encountered were kind and polite. I am absolutely sad to be treated with such rudeness after I've been visiting this café for years off and on and being a paid, returning customer. I am still in shock as to how Greg treated me today, so upset and left hungry.

Great food — if you have dairy and gluten allergy, Pip is very accommodating (but pricey). They have a separate grill for the meat and you can order the steak or chicken. The kale salad and patatas bravas are also allergy friendly.

A Celiac Foodie's Dream! The food here is outstanding - chef Joseph goes above and beyond. It is such a treat to have delicious, local, farm-to-table style dishes that are also created with a knowledgeable kitchen and staff. Indoor/Outdoor dining is a definite plus and the ambiance is great. I regularly crave the Poutines and the GF Brownie, although every item here is a hit.

We came with many dietary restrictions as one person in our party was unable to have soy, dairy, and gluten. Our server Jade was extremely accommodating and thorough. For example, we were hesitant about the lobster roll sauce so we offered to just omit the sauce but Jade was concerned the rolls would lack flavor and brought us a sample of the sauce instead. Jade and the kitchen were very thorough in checking all the ingredients for the dishes we were interested in and were able to modify the lobster rolls to be gluten, dairy, and soy free. The other members of our party did not have dietary restrictions and enjoyed the mussel bowl and donair. Overall I'd highly recommend coming here if you have dietary restrictions, they are very thorough in checking their ingredients and they make sure you feel comfortable while doing so.

The best ever! Im celiac and its such a struggle finding restaurants with good food that fit my dietary restrictions, and AUM cafe hits ALL the marks! I highly recommend their butter chicken with rice! All their curries are gluten free i believe and they all taste great! They have cakes and loaves that are GF as well! The staff here are amazing, they all treat you so kindly and love to interact with their customers, its so refreshing to see especially in this day and age. I love this place and I'll always come back to them when im in need of a meal! Wish they were open longer!!!

I recent came here for a volunteer appreciation event. Our group was very large but they accommodated us well in our own private dining space. It was a set menu with a few different options to choose from, all of which looked delicious. They provided multiple vegetarian/vegan and gluten sensitive choices as well. Our waiter was hustling all evening, and they provided fantastic service. The food was plated beautifully and tasted fantastic. For our dessert they provided a buffet style selection of several delicious options (also offering gluten friendly choices). The chocolate cake with raspberry filling was incredible! After our meal they accommodated a space for us to have a slide show presentation. Overall it was a lovely evening and I’d happily return.

Sugarbowl was fantastic! It was quite an effort to park, and I arrived early to find a number of people waiting in line to immediately pack the house when the doors opened. The service by Jen was top-notch, and the food was amazing. I felt terrible that my party arrived 15-20 minutes after I sat down, but the staff was very kind and accommodating. Gluten-free toast with my omlette was delicious, and the coffee was fresh and strong. 100% recommend.

I found this place using Google. We were not disappointed. They converted a house into a small Cafe. There is plenty of seating outside when the weather is nice. Very reasonably priced, and they were able to accommodate my need for gluten free.
