A lovely place for lunch or afternoon tea.
Caters for gluten free and we could take the dog in. Staff were really nice and accommodating. Very small in there though so was a tight fit with the pram, no highchairs or baby changing facilities. Would need to book on busy days to secure a space. We were lucky and a table became available just as we arrived. It was very busy and the staff informed us there would be a wait for food which was true but fair enough as she did warn us. The stairs are very steep so not good for those with mobility issues. Would recommend to my friends though 👍
This quaint tea room enchants with historic charm and cozy, welcoming atmosphere. Its friendly staff and thoughtful accommodations create a gluten-free friendly environment, complemented by the delightful experience of bottomless tea.

Lunch time option. Gluten free options readily available.
Very friendly people as they made a vegetarian salad with mushrooms instead of chicken and added roasted vegetables. I would have preferred more of the purple lettuce and spinach instead of the straggly lettuce it is not as filling so I was glad I had a tasty tomato soup that they added cream and olive oil and a wee cheese toasted bread and another toasted corner of bread. It was tasty.
But I don’t understand why they precut the Dorset apple cake. Because it made it quite dry. But it was still tasty. The two cakes were gluten free which was great for me and the carrot cake was still lovely and moist even when it was sliced.
But I would suggest you have a groove to where the person cuts the slices of the whole cake. As it keeps dryer cakes more moist. Because it’s not being dried out around the slice.
Kind and helpful waitress. But none of them knew where the atm is. It’s on the main square.
