We are from out of town and dined in the bar this evening. Katelynn was our server. Not only was she attentive, but kind and genuine as well! We had never been to a ling & Louie's before. Being gluten free, I was so very pleasantly surprised to find out that a majority of your menu is gluten free! I also have an egg Allergy and Katelynn catered to that and made sure that anything I ordered was safe for me to eat!!!! Can you open one of these up in Oregon??
So awesome!! Today was my birthday, and I like to take my kids out for breakfast for it- but being gluten free makes it difficult to find delicious options. This was our first time to visit Moe Joes and it was SO SO good!! 😊 we were all very happy with what we ordered and when my sister and her kids surprise-joined us, the staff was so awesome and quick to move us all to a bigger table which was so nice!!
Great service!
Great gluten free options.
DELICIOUS food. I mean even the gluten free pancakes were fluffy and chewy and had amazing texture and flavor! Pancakes are so basic, but being GF - so eating a they are dry or hard- but these are GOOD. I had the veggy hash bowl and it was delectable, so full of flavor in every bite!
We will 100% be back many more times!! Thank you for a great start to the birthday day!
Visiting and saw it had good reviews. Would never go again. Waited around 15 min for a table, not bad at all, but the alarm was going off the whole time and was an annoying high pitched sound. Husband figured out it needed batteries and told someone one who just said “ahh ya ok”
The salad with their house Italian dressing was OVER dressed, big clumps of shredded mozzarella, one pepperoni slice (not sure why). Flavor was just oily. My pasta, had to get gluten free, was poorly cooked. Noodles clumped together and hard couldn’t eat. Also order what was labeled spicy on the menu and no spice as all. Also claimed light tomato sauce.. not by a long shot. The waiter seemed to be overwhelmed with the tables he had and wasn’t bad but not the best we have had. Their deep fried ravioli was liked by my family, no complaints there. The atmosphere visually was cute but in the background they had explicit music playing. I was glad to have a louder family next to us so our kids didn’t hear it. Their pizza, from family point of view, had good sauce but so much cheese you might as well just eat a mozzarella ball. Basically could have choked on the amount. Others had fettuccine Alfredo, didn’t complain but wasn’t over the moon about it. Paid 103 for our family. Felt like a waste.
Loved this place. I got the beet salad with chicken it was gluten free. It was so good I can't wait to go back. I can't stop thinking about it so yummy. My partner had the French dip and he said it was so good.
Our first time here. The gluten-free options and the knowledge of the staff was most helpful. It has an Indian cuisine which was very flavorful. I had the Indian chicken pizza, and he had masala. We shared an appetizer that was something similar to cheese sticks but the "crust" was chickpeas. They serve these with 3 different dipping sauces, ranch, mango habanero, and a curry/green Chile one.
They brought the food to the table with plates and silverware.
They didn't seem very busy which I do not understand because it's right on Chinden and is AMAZING! I will definitely be back, and I can't wait to try different menu items next time. 😋
For a $17 Carne Asada burrito you'd think you could actually see the meat in it. My husband was disappointed. Looked like tiny bits of hamburger in it. Overpriced and not worth it. I am gluten free and the waitress didn't know what was gf and had to ask the cook.
The aesthetic and vibes are immaculate here!!! I am a huge fan of cafes/restaurants that feel homey and this is that! I am unfortunately limited to gluten free options and they are heavily lacking in those. I tried the gluten free protein pancakes (the only advertised gluten free dish on the menu) and it was honestly the worst thing I've ever eaten. We've gotten to a point in society where the Great Value GF Pancake mix has the exact same texture and taste as gluten pancakes, so why is this restaurant serving such a terrible option? I will not be coming here again to eat breakfast, I truly haven't had that bad of a pancake in my life and it will haunt me.
Unfortunately I walked in and asked for allergy handling for a gluten free waffle and they asked what I meant. They do not have separate cookware to separate between gluten free/ gluten containing meals. I’m sure the gluten free waffles are delicious but this is NOT SAFE for those with celiac.
The food and service was excellent. The Makers Old Fashion was plenty strong!
I felt like there could have been a larger portion to the shrimp scampi.
BTW - the shrimp scampi is one of a good selection of gluten free options. Ask for the gluten free menu.
I have heard so many great things about Joe Mama's and finally had the chance to go on my birthday. I absolutely love breakfast and so my spouse and I ordered the breakfast hash with gluten free french toast and the chicken and waffles with a side of hashbrowns.
We were excited to eat but then extremely disappointed with the food. The hashbrowns were greasy and flavorless but also burnt to a crisp, the gf "french toast" was just a very small tasteless piece of bread that was lightly toasted and covered in butter, and the breakfast hash was not seasoned whatsoever and the potatoes were not cut into small chunks.
We were also charged a 7% surcharge on our bill due to the egg shortage but did not order any eggs.
Overall, it was a very disappointing experience and we will not be going back. I would highly recommend Le Peep which has an amazing breakfast selection and great service!
Tori is an absolute delight, grateful that we got to sit in her section! Gluten free available options! I have celiac disease and they were fabulous about options :) we just celebrated our 5 year marriage anniversary and the steak is chefs kiss! We will be back many times! Thank you Tori, and chefs!
More often than not there is an issue with our experience. Whether it's waiting 45min after being seated for someone to take our order, missing something from our order, or an oversight on the amount of utensils or table needs. Even though there are inconsistencies they always make it right when brought to there attention. I have an intolerance to gluten and corn so when something isn't right I need to speak up or its my personal health at risk. This is a great place to eat but people make errors but this place is more than glad to correct the situation.
Also, they have a nutritional fact table and plenty of gluten free options which keeps me coming back.
My waitress was so sweet. Lisa was very nice and VERY funny plus she passed out stickers and she was awesome and she got me stuff I could have sense I am gluten free and dairy free.
We ate there Friday, about 10:30am. It was moderately busy, but no wait time. Hostess and our waitress were fantastic- very nice and very helpful with one of our friends who is gluten free.
The portion sizes are insane. Not included in the picture is my huge waffle side that came with my meal. The pictures don't really do it justice, because the plates themselves are massive. My husband's meal was a 32oz bloody mary with a grilled cheese, chicken and waffles, bacon.... he then helped me with my plate a bit, and we still had enough to bring home and split for breakfast this morning. Had we known, we likely would have just split one plate.
Is it pricey? Maybe, but really I don't think so. I wouldn't classify this place as a small town breakfast diner with a $5 egg special. This is a little bit more fancy if you will- I'd say it's a place to take guests to or for a nice birthday breakfast or something like that. But, for the amount of food you get, I feel like even with the higher prices, it's worth it.
I happened to drive past on my way to a service call. Told myself that I need to check them out!
I am very happy I did! Amazing gals workin! Great coffee and great flavors! Their pastry selection caters to the inevitable sweet tooth and gluten free options. A very locally supplied place for the coffee and pastries which makes it even better!
100% recommend and will be back 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Amazing food, if you are in this area you should definitely go. I would recommend the beer battered fries. only problem i could think of is that there are almost always waits but they are short and worth it. 10/10
edit: I recently had to go on a gluten free diet because of medical reasonings, and the omelets were a good gluten free option
We had El Gallo cater our wedding in October! They brought their taco truck to our venue, and it could not have been better! The truck made everything so easy!! No left overs or dishes to wash. They came, served BOMB tacos, and left without leaving a trace! The food was incredible, with vegetarian and gluten free options, and everyone at our wedding loved it! I cannot recommend them enough!
I really enjoy Panara! I'm excited for when they get back the breakfast wrap and when they get gluten free bread. They are always kind and there for me when I am hungry. Thank you for being in Meridian.
Drive thru a few times. Mostly excellent service. Slight downgrade because the last time I ordered Greek fries they forgot the meat. It was the single reason I had ordered the Greek fries, the protein. My daughter had to settle for chicken nuggets instead. (Gluten free organic lol)
DO NOT LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS FROM LABOR DAY.
My wife and I decided to visit on Labor Day, upon walking in we noticed it was extremely busy and were prepared for the wait. We decided to sit at the bar near one of the cash registers and were quickly asked what we wanted to drink and eat. After ordering I noticed that the list of receipts going to the kitchen was moving slowly but the employees were all working hard and trying their best to appease everyone.
While sitting there I started to notice multiple people walking up to the register and asking when their food would be ready. Some were nice about it and said if you could just cancel it that would be fine. But others weren't so nice. Berating the clearly understaffed employees doing their best, arguing about not paying because their food wasn't to order, or walking out without telling the staff so their food went to waste and made others wait even longer. Keep in mind during all of these complaints the staff (cant remember names just the people who were serving food only names that sound right are Sarah and Rich) were very apologetic and tried to explain the situation and in return were berated, insulted, and given 0 respect. My wife and I sat there and joked because the more people leaving the faster we would get our food!
One lady had the audacity to go up and refuse to pay because she was a vegetarian and found a chunk of bacon in her meal. Like bacon bit sized chunk. She went on an on about how she had to wait an hour for her food.... how the food was good but it was ruined by a small piece of bacon.... but she ate over half the meal and refused to pay... the two staff members dealing with this lady were both apologetic and tried to resolve the situation, but lady wasn't having it. I do not know if she paid or not but it sure looked like she didn't. Unacceptable behavior by patrons of a restaurant. Especially a busy one. If you are vegetarian and go to a restaurant that doesn't cater specifically to your needs do us a favor and don't complain when a simple mistake is made. Go about it in a different manner. Or at least be understanding that a simple mistake has been made at an extremely busy time. Plus you ate half the meal, being that serious about a dietary restriction and not making it yourself is risky in the first place. For example people who are celiac take a risk every time they get something at a restaurant because of potential cross-contamination.
When we got our food it was fantastic, a great serving size, hot, and tasty. I wish I had the money to tip the entire staff at Capris today but I simply didn't. Thank you to all of the staff who worked their butts off today while being mistreated and abused. Our meal was well worth the wait and you can bet we will be back soon. To the Owner/Manager/Higher Ups your staff is awesome!
Could the times have been quicker? Yes. Could there have been a little more sense of urgency within the staff? Yes! BUT WE DIDN'T CARE. They were understaffed like many businesses nowadays, and were jammed packed with patrons!
