I have been here multiple times and literally never disappointed. I am celiac and extremely sensitive and I can eat anything here with no reaction and my non celiac family enjoys it too. My only complaint is I’m not in the area enough.
Millie helped me figure out what I could eat that was gluten and dairy free! Don never stopped hustling back and forth making sure everyone had what they needed, and Sophia chatted with us while we waited for our fantastic food! My husband said the club sandwich plus the blueberry bagel flown in from NY was delicious! We were from NC and will definitely go back when we are in BG this fall!
Very aware of gluten allergy and cross contamination. Great food, only complaint is that it is popular so there can be a wait for food to be prepared, but that’s what happens when you have a good thing.
Brad H went above and beyond to ensure my son and I were taken care of. I do apologize there was a female server who was also amazing. She’s in school to become a diesel mechanic and came and chatted with us and we were amazed that she remembered so much.
Between these two, I have no idea how anybody could ever have a negative experience. They paid close attention to my gluten allergy, chatted with us about experiences that we’ve had in the area since moving to Kentucky and even chatted about the fact that my daughter is headed to college soon.
It was genuinely a fantastic experience. Well worth the 90 minute drive.
The food was good, but the pricing seemed a little ridiculous.
$16 for the Southern burger was a lot. Okay, it's "wagyu beef," but once you grind it up, you've lost the benefit of it anyway. And it's got brisket on there, too - which you can't really even taste, competing with all the other flavors.
Add $2 for a gluten free bun. Usually after you're paying a certain amount for your food, they're willing to accommodate you.
Add $4 for "premium sides"? That sounds like a big upcharge. Maybe they're really exciting? No - sweet potato fries are a premium side!
Suddenly this burger is $22, which seems considerably less reasonable.
Seems like you're paying for the idea that it's an "upscale" place, without the benefits that should go with that.
We were celebrating my husband’s parents 61st anniversary. Usually a party of 14 you expect to wait a while for drinks, appetizers, food and desserts. This was not the case. Micah and Matthew were accompanying with suggestions and serving us. Everything we had was delicious! There is a QR code on the menu with even more entree choices with pictures. I’m gluten sensitive and I had so many options to choose from. They even offer some sauces and desserts that are gluten free. We had a wonderful dining experience! Thank you Anna’s.
Another fantastic eatery for Bowling Green. This Gastro pub has a varied menu that will please many palates. Premium food ingredients make delicious meals I plan to enjoy many times. The BEST PART is that Toro has an extensive gluten free menu as well. It’s about time more restaurants cater to those who have eating sensitivities. Thank you Toro.
This is a GREAT place for coffee lovers. Wonderful service, cozy atmosphere and friendly baristas. I was thrilled that they offer a gluten free cupcake! The outside decor is a very inviting area to just relax and enjoy your coffee. We were visiting this area today with a family member, but if I lived here THIS coffee place would be my favorite hangout.
Cool place closer to home. Coffee was great. The bagels are real good but they cram it with cream cheese. Not horrible but grab a napkin. There are gluten free options here if you need them. Will visit again for sure.
Catering 10/10
We had The Bistro cater our wedding- wow, the food was the star of our night. We got so many compliments and our friends are even trying to recreate the bacon-wrapped dates at home (which was one of our cocktail hour appetizers). Chelsea was so helpful with helping us design our menu, offering suggestions, and even ensuring our gluten free guests did not have cross contamination. I am beyond pleased with the level of professionalism and care they put into our special day. Thank you so much, - Tucker and Mariah Greer
Well, we waited 45 minutes for 1 singular gluten free waffle to go and they kept skipping my order and making table orders instead or just completely forgot. I walked in at the same time as an older gentleman and he had time to order get his food and eat to then have to wait to pay another 10 minutes because nobody would bring him a ticket.
I have celiacs disease and I'm pregnant. I can't eat regular wheat breakfast items and the eggs where we had stopped made me nauseated so my husband brought me there to get a to go waffle... 45 minutes later and we are back on our road trip and I still have no breakfast. I've had problems at every IHOP I've been too this year I give up on this company. I hate the one restaurant with Gluten free options is inaccessible dude to long waits and or little to no service.
Visited the Cracker Barrel in Bowling Green en route back to our hotel after having a day at Mammoth Cave National park - it was well worth the detour!
The staff were so friendly and accommodating to my Mum's gluten free requirement by providing a handout of all allergens in every dish and side.
All 5 of us enjoyed our food, very reasonable prices - recommend the Catfish!
Faley, our server, was superb - nothing was too much of an ask, chatty, went above and beyond. A credit to Cracker Barrel.
If ever back in the area, would definitely visit!
Service was excellent, thank you Alexis. Food was perfect, thank you grill cook, or should I say grill master? Well done and charred to perfection, and done (no pink) and juicy on the inside. It was the first burger I have had in over 12 years. Thank you for having gluten free buns so people with celiac disease can enjoy a fully dressed burger that you can hold in your hands. Eatting a burger with a fork is NOT a burger. Thank you again. This is one of my favorite places to eat. I haven't been disappointed yet.
