Absolutely amazing!
The staff is thoroughly trained and managers bring allergies to the table. They even use a black napkin under allergy plates as a signal to all employees that the dish is an allergy. They use casarecce GF pasta - so they can know it’s GF just by looking at it. I felt incredibly safe eating here, and I got an almond flour cannoli!
This place is incredible. As a gluten-free girl, traveling with her dairy-free friend, food can be a challenge.
This place had plenty of options to meet both of our dietary restrictions.
I had this zucchini/corn fritter bowl. It was incredible.
They also offer specialty coffees, salads, acai, all fresh and beautiful. This is a perfect summer spot for a cool meal. The prices were also strikingly reasonable, especially for Boston.
The vibe is also brilliant. The colors are vibrant, and the energy is high. I loved every aspect of Life Alive!
Nice cafe with a bunch of gluten-free snack options that have come in handy for me. Coffee and tea drinks are all good, but not standout. Can be hard to find a place to sit as it is always pretty crowded. However, we've always been able to get a place to sit without too much of a wait when we decide to stay. I had the gluten-free chocolate tart, which was rich, chocolaty, and not too sweet. The London fog was acceptable but seemed a bit underbrewed as the earl grey didn't come through strong enough for my taste
I can’t say enough wonderful things about this restaurant. Service was absolutely top notch, our server went above and beyond. I asked for cucumber for my Hendricks and tonic, he couldn’t find any so created a sad face with other garnish’s I could use for my drink. But he came through by finding me cucumber!
The food, oh so good! They brought out bread for my wife, I passed because I am gluten free and then the server said they had gf bread for me and got it from the warmer. The clam chowder my wife loved. And the mains, amazing! My wife had the crab and lobster ravioli and I had scallops with potato gratin. Both fantastic! If you are visiting Boston in the area it’s a must do!
Super bummed they stopped making the chicky sandwiches. They offer chicky wraps but those cannot be made gluten free. I loved the chicky sandwiches on the potato buns (spicey, regular, parm) and really hope they bring them back to the menu soon.
The hamburgers are not very good and require you to finish cooking them at home.
Abe and Louise’s is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. The bar area is elegant and never disappoints. The staff is super friendly and professional. The food is top quality. I recently when in for lunch and they were very accommodating to my gluten allergy. Definitely one of the best in Boston.
We found our way here because of its gluten free recommendations. And I'm told they did not disappoint. In fact, we went here on back to back days because of its selections and overall freshness of the food.
The inside is very aesthetically pleasing + love the exposed white brick walls and the displays of sweets is pretty stunning.
We enjoyed sandwiches, desserts, cappuccinos-- everything was delicious. Wishing we had one here in Toronto to be honest! Such a great spot.
Fresh gluten free food. Their app works well to order ahead . I wish they had a parking spot on the street , front of the restaurant fir a quick pick up.
Good and fresh ingredients and great portions for lunch or dinner.
