Delicious food in a great location for our lunch stop on the way to Canberra. We chose to stop at Truly Free Bakehouse becuase my mum is a Celiac. The rest of the family thought we'd be making a sacrifice for her enjoyment at a 100% GF bakery, but we were WRONG. It was snitzel burgers all round and they came out quickly, steaming hot, crisp and mouth-wateringly scrumptious. As a gluten eater I couldn't tell the bun, crispy and light, was gluten-free. The snitzel was perfection. Honestly. One of the best ever. AND... they didn't over do the mayonnaise. We paid $13.5 for each and the size was generous and sensibly cut in half for easy consumption. My mum couldn't resist picking up a raspberry and white chocolate muffin for the road and was pleasantly surprised that it was also one of the best ever, even compared to gluten ones. Plenty of seating, friendly staff, and so much choice for people who usually have very little. Thanks Truly Free Bakehouse for existing and bringung joy to our lives and our tastebuds.
Anyone with coeliac disease this place is a must. Extremely knowledgeable about coeliac disease and cross contamination and for once my toddlers had a wide variety of dishes to choose from so thank you for making my kids days with the gf pancakes!
This will be our go to spot every time we’re in the mountains.
10/10 food and coffee and staff were so friendly. Highly recommend!
The burgers are always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly crafted. The fact that they offer gluten-free options is a huge plus—so great to have a delicious and inclusive menu. The service is friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is always welcoming.
A beautiful little cafe with beautiful staff!! We had an amazing Brekky (gluten free catered for, it was above and beyond!) and coffee, and were greeted by the most lovely staff. I was super excited to discover all the gluten free sweet treats they had to offer, so obviously had to get some to take away! Will be back next time we are in Jindabyne! Thanks guys xx
Gluten free fish was decent, but fish and chips served undersalted and with a tiny wedge of lemon.
Far bigger complaint in the 45 minute wait when others that ordered well after us walked out with their food. We followed up twice on our order before it finally came out.
I had the pleasure of trying this gluten-free fish cocktail, and I must say—it exceeded expectations in every way. Each bite-sized piece was perfectly golden and crisp, boasting a light and airy batter that didn’t feel heavy or greasy. The fish inside was tender, flaky, and fresh, offering a delightful contrast to the crunchy coating.
What impressed me most was how well-executed the gluten-free batter was—it held its structure beautifully and didn’t compromise on flavor or texture. Whether you’re gluten-intolerant or just exploring healthier alternatives, this fish cocktail is a total win. Great as a snack, appetizer, or party platter favorite!
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a delicious and inclusive seafood treat.
Been going here for years now. Always a nice place to be. Tonight I took my little kids who also love it. (Their request in fact)
Mostly gluten free which is a huge win for me. Great selection of drinks.
Good for any occasion.
Love your work team (:
I was looking for a cozy café and happened to stumble upon Belle Central. The decor and atmosphere immediately appealed to me. I tried a dandy latte, which I had never had before, and a piece of salted caramel. Delicious, and the service was pleasant as well. The selection of sugar-free and gluten-free options is perfect for me. I would love to come back.
Such a fun burger place. I was a little skeptical at first that they could prevent cross contact here but they have an open kitchen and I watched the whole process. They changed their gloves. Cleaned off the flat grill (although they don't put any buns on it anyway). The fries are also safe and cooked in a dedicated fryer.
Gluten free options!! Dedicated gf fryer for a few options like chips (which were perfect) and others like calamari etc. There are gf burger options too, I went with the soft sheel crab burger. Buttermilk crab fried whole on a gf bun with salad and thousand island. Really tasty, not too salty, perfect mix of meaty and crunch. Thanks guys for doing gluten free options and being coeliac friendly and aware.

Food is so good & fresh, staff are all lovely & chill, the guy who served us (think the manager?) is just awesome. Does his job really well. Thanks guys we’ll be back! Also SO AWESOME the gluten free fried chicken. Real chicken & done in olive oil. Amazing & delicious.
Had an absolutely amazing time here with delicious food and great service! My mum is coeliac and it's so hard to find places that take the proper precautions when dealing with gluten free food, but the staff were beautiful and went above and beyond to make sure her meal was safe, as well as having a variety of foods available. I had the schnitzel burger and it was fantastic, and we look forward to going again soon!
This is the best cafe for coeliacs in Nelson Bay. Best eggs Benedict I’ve ever had. Southern style chicken burger and wagyu burger were both amazing - just remove the fries as they aren’t gluten free. Tons of gluten free options for Brekky and lunch on the menu. Staff is great / knowledgeable about coeliac restrictions and even better - the chef is coeliac. Also make sure to get any gluten free sweets they have - we tried the blueberry muffin, date & walnut bread, & coconut raspberry bread - all incredible and you can’t even tell it’s gluten free. Can’t wait to come back here!
Not safe for coeliacs any more. Had a very bad reaction after eating a gluten free burger from here. Specially mentioned about being coeliac while ordering.
Stopped in for breakfast this morning meal was delicious, huge serving and catered to coeliacs. Beautiful friendly staff prompt service would definitely recommend stopping while in Coffs.
We had a really nice meal here .
The brisket was really good and was also gluten free. So that was good .The service was good and the decor in the room was very good too .A good selection of music was playing when we were there .It looks like they have live music there too .Well worth a look .

Food is always consistently good quality, there are choices of buns for all sorts of dietary requirements, some buns are better than others however as I have found that as a gluten intolerant person, their gluten free buns are undesirable. If I had to describe it I would call it rock hard. The patties are always flavourful and well seasoned, they consistently offer high quality and ingredients. The atmosphere is welcoming and stylistic, you are never uncomfortable eating here. The service is always efficient but nothing special, the staff are kind, but nothing to write home about. Overall solid experience for the many times I have eaten there.
Gluten free bacon boi burger is great, but I have only two problems. I have to go to maccas every time to get American mustard as they don’t have it at burger urge. And some greenhills restaurants take forever to get your order because they have an exorbitant number of door dash orders. Burger urge is one of them.
I recently visited Grill’d, hoping for a satisfying burger experience, but left disappointed. The food was noticeably dry, particularly the beef patty, which lacked juiciness and felt overcooked. The gluten free bun didn’t help either—it was stale and crumbled easily, making the meal less enjoyable. It was dense, dry, and had an off-putting aftertaste, far from the quality I’d expect from a chain that promotes healthier options.
To make matters worse, the staff didn’t inform me that certain items I ordered were unavailable until my food was served, which was frustrating as I’d chosen this option for a reason. The lack of communication to us felt careless and added to the overall poor experience. You can tell that the communication between staff is also lacking and they weren’t trained well, as they where cleaning the restaurant while my burger was left on the counter to get cold. When we finally got the burger, we had to ask for our drinks which we ordered before that.
While the restaurant was clean and the service was quick, these issues with the food quality and lack of transparency overshadowed any positives. Grill’d needs to improve its gluten-free offerings and ensure better communication with customers. I won’t be rushing back anytime soon.
They gave our money back on the burger which was good in the end

This cafe is sensational. The food is really yummy and the fact that they are accredited by Coeliac Australia made me feel comfortable in eating there. Not only is the food great, but the staff are really kind and friendly too. I accidentally left my handbag behind and they found it and kept it safe for me until I could come back and collect it, even though it was after hours! Lovely people, lovely food ❤️
I use to work at Grill’d Westfield and myself and the rest of the team always did a great job.
Firstly the uk guy refused to give a takeaway box even though I said after a hour or half you can’t expect all customers to finish it at the restaurant.
I ordered to garden goodness one regular bun & mine with a gluten free bun.
I took one bite it was hard as rocks when I went to the kitchen for a new bun, he started to argue with me over the bun being edible, bare in mind he didn’t eat a piece of the bun.
I said to him I’m not asking for a refund, im just asking for a new top bun. He said I wouldn’t even give you a refund lol, this uk guy didn’t understand an example.
He said if you know so much give us some advice in a condescending tone, I told him there’s minutes on everything. He knows no matter how much or long you have worked in hospitality Grill’d has it own online courses for all the dishes and deals.
He told me to go to another Grill’d that is unprofessional and the only reason I went there today is because my partner lives down the road if he didn’t live down the road of course we would go to my old workplace. I wrote so much more in my review that disappeared the picture is clear proof of someone who doesn’t give a f about doing a good job not even asking for amazing work, just good.
I wrote so much more before unfortunately it’s gone the proof in the pudding.
Such a cozy, friendly cafe by the park! Delicious dinner with so many gluten free options. The lamb backstrap with pea and asparagus risotto was sensational!! We had the lovely Olivia and Katie serving us with their big smiles and ready to help attitude. Lots of my favourite drink options! 5 star dinner!
I was excited to eat here because it looks like a nice place. But I ordered a gluten free toastie from the menu and my friends ordered the non gluten free version and mine came out smaller than half of their toastie. Both my friends and I paid $18 for it so I would’ve expected the same portions. I went up to ask why the portion was so small and all they said it was just because the bread is different, quite rudely and not understanding towards me. If the staff were understanding and fixed the situation, I would not be writing this complaint. Also gluten free bread is really no more expensive than normal bread at Woolies. I had to go get a meal somewhere else after. My coffee I ordered also took 25 mins to come out and when it did it was freezing cold. The price of my entire meal was just not reasonable for the portion and wait times. I’m not one to complain but I wish they would’ve assisted me better. Attached is a photo of one half of their toastie and my entire toastie.
Fantastic option for anyone looking for Gluten Free options. With a coeliac in the family, we struggle to find somewhere decent to eat to accommodate both adult and kids taste. Staff were knowledgeable of GF requirements and they confirmed they have a separate fryer for GF food.
Great location on the waterfront, service was lovely and the food was fantastic. My Cluck Norris burger was the best chicken burger I've had in a long time. My husband said the GF chicken schnitzel was great, and my son loved the Risk it for the Brisket burger too. My daughter polished off her kids meal in seconds, and said the fish batter was nice and crispy. Highly recommend and it will be our go to when down by the waterfront.
