In a beautiful setting, a restaurant with all gluten-free dishes. Very friendly staff and reasonable prices. We had the pleasure of speaking with the chef Valentina, a person very passionate about her work, prepared and available. She also kindly offered us a dessert. Beautiful evening!
Gluten-free sandwich top marks! Really flaky bread and really tasty ingredients. If you are looking for a good gluten-free sandwich in the Florence South area, this is really for you!
Local in Largo Pietro Annigoni, Sant'Ambrogio area, which is characterized by its industrial-chic style furnishings; the exposed air-conditioned cellar is beautiful..
Their specialty are burgers, large and very appetizing with artisanal buns (classic with sesame, multigrain, charcoal black and gluten-free) and always served accompanied by chips, available in 4 versions (chips, sticks, roast or sweet potato).
Given the conditions, I was rather disappointed when I bit into my "Fuori di Cheese", believing it to be much richer in creamy melted cheese, given the name, while what distinguished it from the others ordered was a simple slice of cheese placed on top of the sandwich.
Honestly, I wasn't even convinced by the medium-cooked hamburger, too high for my taste and without the slightest presence of the Maillard reaction on the surface; the water that drips onto the plate with each bite also makes me doubt the quality of the meat, which is rather bland.
Tasting the dishes of the other diners, I perceived every proposal on the menu as intriguing to read, beautiful to look at but disappointing in content; even when sipping the Caffè Macchiato with Salted Caramel, the latter unfortunately can only be perceived by cleaning the bottom of the cup. The only dish I liked was the N.Y. Cheesecake. Style, a simple raw version with berry sauce; positive note that the topping is artisanal.
Average prices, except for the burgers which I consider extremely expensive given the product offered.
Captivating place for the furnishings, large outdoor space available with tables where you can eat; perhaps to be reevaluated by trying their Cocktails.
Food was very good. Gluten free bread offered. Burgers Fries hot dog chicken nuggets chicken sandwich all great. The manager was great, very nice and easy to communicate with.
The 1950 American Diner in Figline Valdarno is well-liked for its 1950s-inspired atmosphere, with attention to detail in the décor and music, making it a fun and unique place, especially for families. The food is a highlight, with freshly prepared all-beef burgers, Tex-Mex dishes, and grilled meats, including the Bistecca Fiorentina. The restaurant stands out for its use of locally sourced ingredients and offers gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options. Service is generally friendly, although some customers have noted variable wait times. Easily accessible with ample parking, the diner is ideal for birthdays and other celebrations, and also offers takeout and delivery services.
