There were new planters for outside, creating a divide between them and other restaurants and this caused a problem for wheelchairs. However, staff were quick to come out with a ramp and an apology. Plenty of wheelchair space inside and accessible toilet. Great range of meals and a separate veggie/vegan and a gluten free one too.
Really nice visit to this after a meander down Bold Street. The food was great - I ended up having their soup, and the latte was great too. Chilled vibes, and such a wide selection of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options. Reasonably priced too, with local artists’ artwork on display for sale too.
Only downside is it’s two floors up via a staircase, so if you have limited mobility or are wheelchair bound, I’m not sure how you’d get there (unless there’s a lift I missed!)
Really recommend giving them a visit - roughly a 10 minute walk from the Lime Street station.
This was an excellent brunch!! Best we found in Europe. One of my best ever. Really delicious eggs Benedict and great for me that they have gluten free too. Everything seemed fresh. Busy place but still very good service. They deserve 6 or 7 stars!!
This cafe was so good that we went 3 days in a row while visiting Liverpool. Very tasty dishes, no matter what we ordered. Catered incredibly well for gluten intolerance. Really friendly and helpful staff, and nice atmosphere. I’ll miss those poached veggs!
We came here as the restaurant looks so nice. There were lots of empty tables but took so long to be seated. We explained my Mum was gluten free and they left a book of ingredients on our table with no explanation of what my Mum could order. To say the service is slow is an understatement. We waited ages for our drinks and food. My Mum's gluten free sandwich was dry, no butter and tasteless. We then waited so long for the bill I had to go up to the bar to pay. There are so many wonderful, quirky places to get here so I would most definitely NOT recommend Leaf.
My partner & I visited a few days ago during a trip to Liverpool, and we’re so glad we found it! The food was fab, and the whole place was lovely. I am gluten free, and my partner is vegetarian, there were lots of options for us both. The portion sizes were great, and we both left saying it’s a shame we aren’t in Liverpool more often! Will definitely visit anytime we’re in the area
The rewards for walking up the long flight of stairs up to Rococo are more than worth it. Beautiful breakfasts, coffees and cakes. Service is friendly and efficient, and everything tastes fresh and delicious. There are lots of different sofa, table and high stool seating options spread over two floors. A lovely setting to have a coffee break or something more substantial. Meat and veggie menu with gluten free bread options for the sandwiches
Tasteless and dry breakfast.
Very good service but the food was so disappointing. The beef was very hard and I was struggling to chew. The prices are also ridiculously high.
Only pro was that they have a gluten free menu, I still wouldn’t recommend
Went in on Friday. Very disappointing to find 11 cakes on display, however no gluten free options available. Seems to happen quite frequently, always seems to "sold out!"
Just opposite Liverpool Lime Street station. We wanted a quick coffee and snack after travelling on the train and were very impressed with the cafe. My husband had a croissant and coffee whilst I had a gf chocolate brownie and tea with oatmilk. Very generous portions and tasty food.
The staff were lovely and great atmosphere in the cafe; clearly a really popular venue.
Would definitely revisit; highly recommended!
Update: I’m back 6 months later on a quick visit to Liverpool; where else would I go for a brunchy lunch?
I had 2 perfect poached eggs on gluten free toast, beautifully cooked and very tasty too!
It's expensive, but everything is great. They have gluten-free brownies, a little dry but delicious. I had a coffee with vanilla that was delicious. I would take it again with great pleasure. If you get a good table you have cool views, it is on the second floor and you can see part of the port of Liverpool from afar.
Went with a group of friends. Food excellent. Knowlegeable about gluten free and cross contamination which was so reassuring for someone with Coeliac disease.
Hands down the best place on the lane, gorgeous food, gorgeous coffee, gorgeous staff and gorgeous vibes. It’s always so welcoming and friendly and so so busy which says it all !! Even when busy the staff are always polite and try their best to accommodate everyone. For the coeliacs among us, there is a dedicated gluten free menu as well, so I always feel safe eating there. 10/10 really!
