My croissant loving son was diagnosed with celiac disease in September. I almost cried today watching his happiness as he ate a chocolate croissant at Mariposa’s. 💚
My friend, who is severely celiac, got very sick here. They say all the food is gluten free, but that’s obviously not true. We looked up everything about this restaurant after she got sick and saw the review of some other person on this site who also got sick. They sell a lot of oats, so that’s probably why she got sick. Cross contamination. Watch out!!! For the not celiac’s, the food is good it just isn’t totally gluten free.
Eating and drinking outside is an option and is pleasant. If ordering to go beers or ciders can be ordered as well. Gluten free is offered and is tasty
This place is clean, staff are friendly and the food was tasty! Gluten free bread and vegan options available. I ordered the tofu scramble and added a side of chicken apple sausage ($7) a bit pricey .. but I’d definitely go back to hang out in the outdoor patio area for brunch again.
This place is amazing. I didn’t play any games but the vibe of people in there was great.
Food was amazing. Great to have a fully dedicated gluten free menu. I will 100% be back
We came here for the gluten free sandwiches and were very impressed. Even our non-celiac friends loved the cheese bread, but the good was so slow to arrive, even in a near empty restaurant
Loved the vegan banana bread which was also gluten-free. In my opinion it could’ve had some chocolate chip or walnuts in it as well to add a bit more variety but it was delicious nonetheless! They also had a chocolate chip cookie, a snickerdoodle and a muffin which were vegan and
gluten-free. I’ll be back to try the other options for sure
Worth the walk! In addition to beautiful bread, they have a huge selection of gluten free options. GF almond cookie is perfection. GF pumpkin muffin is best in SF.
We dropped in for an impromptu date night and we’re really pleased! We split the sea scallops and the pork ossobuco. Presentation was very thoughtful and each bite was delicious. Wine was good also! We didn’t plan on dessert, but they brought cream brûlée on the house! I’m gluten free and they had plenty of options. Everything was spectacular! We’ll be back for another date night and I’ll have to check out brunch!
The toasts are EXCELLENT. I have tried all of them.
Egg in the hole is my favourite savoury one.
Ricotta and Jam is my favourite sweet one.
The gluten free bread (adventure bread) is the best GF bread I’ve had.
The building is lovely.
Atmosphere gets a 3 because, they don’t make people leave fast enough after eating at the weekend.
I’ve been standing there multiple times with my food in my hands and nowhere to sit. It is a very awkward experience
They either need to add more seating or move people along that have finished eating.
The Mill would be a clear 5/5 if they fixed this problem.

Food was absolutely delicious. Good gluten free options as I got the corn tortilla tacos. The orange habanero hot sauce was fresh, spicy, and tasty!
Crunchy fries and fresh fish. Would highly recommend on a sunny day.
The wait was around 25-30 minutes but they were very transparent about it.
Outdoor patio seating and good vibes in general.
Absolutely wonderful! Their gf churro donuts are so so so good. Their coffee is well made and you can taste the care they put in. The owners are friendly and fun to talk to. I recommend the Butterfly Joint to all!
As a gluten free girlie, this place hits the spot for carbs. Their pao de queijo (PDQ or “cheese bread”) sandwiches are a delight. The staff are friendly and the establishment is always clean and bright. Super transit and pedestrian friendly! 10/10 try their different coffees and beware the delicious but strong hot sauce.
This was my last stop as I left San Francisco and it couldn't have been better. Breakfast was absolutely amazing and the customer service was lacking in no way. Solid gluten free options and cute, cozy, environment.
Solid family owned restaurant. The food is really good . You order at the counter. I highly recommend their coffee - iced and hot are both great.
The best part of Morning Due is the amazing service you get. I am gluten free- they are knowledgeable and ensure I can safely eat. The attention to detail and desire to be welcoming comes from everyone who works at Morning Due.
The quiche was very good a solid nine out of 10. The crust was the best part. Ladies at the counter were very attentive and nice. Very very limited gluten-free option. Great atmosphere.
Perfect Cortado, good Americano, and folks, if you are gluten free… they have a delicious GF bread that they offer for their avocado toast that’s topped with an egg. So glad we stopped in.
Look for the door to what looks like a hotel behind the jewelry store. 9 two person tables and 3 bar stools in this tiny space. I ate a southwestern sandwich and tasted great with toasted bread roll and perfect ingredients quantity. Gluten free bread available. Boba smoothies and milk teas also available thai tea with boba is perfect sweetness and a slight coffee taste to it. Not far from Trolly stops in China town.
Friendly café next to Dolores Park, I only had a coffee but the food looked great and the whole place smelled amazing!
(I saw they had gluten free options and many vegetarian options as well)
The staff was super helpful and nice to everyone that came and went.
Haven't been since covid. No protein alternatives. Neglected to mention the potatoes are grilled with butter. Staff needs to educated more on different diet lifestyle. If you're gluten intolerant they should know what foods have gluten from their menu. If you don't eat animal products they should have alternatives. Never go there again!!!
This bakery had been on my list for a while and now I know why the chef was a James Beard finalist for pastry innovation. The desserts are beautiful and while I did not try any of the wild offerings like the Rebel Within or the Bees in Provence, I did enjoy the morning bun which should only be consumed while it is warm or else it is rather dry. The triple chocolate croissant was rich and delicious, but not too sweet. The banana travel cake was good as was the hazelnut financier which is their only gluten free option. The chocolate chip cookie was yummy. However, I saved the best for last, the black sesame kouign amann was to die for! Again, please heat before you consume and you will also fall in love.
I was in a rush when I placed my order and did not notice that I was overcharged until I left, however, a quick phone call rectified the situation and I was promptly credited for the overage.
Great place to stop by for lunch, excellent employees who were very friendly. Delicious meal options with gluten free choices (they use tamari sauce instead of soy sauce in the sisig rice bowl).
