My friend, who is severely celiac, got very sick here. They say all the food is gluten free, but that’s obviously not true. We looked up everything about this restaurant after she got sick and saw the review of some other person on this site who also got sick. They sell a lot of oats, so that’s probably why she got sick. Cross contamination. Watch out!!! For the not celiac’s, the food is good it just isn’t totally gluten free.

Food is always so good. My recommendation is the Chicken Coupe sandwich- chicken is flavorful and always moist, the coleslaw is crunchy and not heavy. The drinks are great, and the atmosphere is super unique and so fun!

Loved the vegan banana bread which was also gluten-free. In my opinion it could’ve had some chocolate chip or walnuts in it as well to add a bit more variety but it was delicious nonetheless! They also had a chocolate chip cookie, a snickerdoodle and a muffin which were vegan and
gluten-free. I’ll be back to try the other options for sure

We visited here on our trip to San Fran. My gf ordered the heist & I ordered the gluten free pancakes. Great gf pancakes. The berry topping was a nice complement. Lattes were yummy & aesthetically pleasing - we had the nutella latte & the ube latte. I’m not sure how they make the eggs but they were seasoned so well & were beyond your usual scrambled eggs. The restaurant itself is okay, a little bland. Servers were attentive. Great for solo dining or 2 people- wouldn’t recommend a large party because the space is quite small. I would eat here again.

The toasts are EXCELLENT. I have tried all of them.
Egg in the hole is my favourite savoury one.
Ricotta and Jam is my favourite sweet one.
The gluten free bread (adventure bread) is the best GF bread I’ve had.
The building is lovely.
Atmosphere gets a 3 because, they don’t make people leave fast enough after eating at the weekend.
I’ve been standing there multiple times with my food in my hands and nowhere to sit. It is a very awkward experience
They either need to add more seating or move people along that have finished eating.
The Mill would be a clear 5/5 if they fixed this problem.

It’s a cute restaurant but any level deeper a bit gross.
I asked about being able to have my food gluten free - every single thing they cook is on shared pans on shared oil. At face value that should cause some pause - a restaurant will usually change pans or oil at least once if twice. Not here. I asked if maybe I could have just potatoes on a clean pan - they said no way. All I could have was fruit and plain eggs. No toast, no potatoes of any kind, no bacon, but don’t worry they will charge you five dollars extra for the fruit.
The bathroom is covered with signs that say if you vomit there’s a $50 charge. Not exactly the aesthetic you want for a nice meal. Truly disgusting.
After leaving two members of our party had upset stomach. I would say that if you want good photos for Instagram, it’s a nice enough place, but I would never take a guest there or anyone looking for a meal beyond sub-par diner quality.

As a gluten free girlie, this place hits the spot for carbs. Their pao de queijo (PDQ or “cheese bread”) sandwiches are a delight. The staff are friendly and the establishment is always clean and bright. Super transit and pedestrian friendly! 10/10 try their different coffees and beware the delicious but strong hot sauce.

Was really excited to see the sandwiches could be made on gluten free bread and they had prepackaged GF desserts. The staff taking me assured they would take precautions to ensure there was no cross contact. Got the turkey and Swiss. It was super tasty, however, got very ill a few hours later and it lasted 3 days. Obviously not great for people with celiac disease. Tasty coffee and would just stick to the prepackaged stuff.

This bakery had been on my list for a while and now I know why the chef was a James Beard finalist for pastry innovation. The desserts are beautiful and while I did not try any of the wild offerings like the Rebel Within or the Bees in Provence, I did enjoy the morning bun which should only be consumed while it is warm or else it is rather dry. The triple chocolate croissant was rich and delicious, but not too sweet. The banana travel cake was good as was the hazelnut financier which is their only gluten free option. The chocolate chip cookie was yummy. However, I saved the best for last, the black sesame kouign amann was to die for! Again, please heat before you consume and you will also fall in love.
I was in a rush when I placed my order and did not notice that I was overcharged until I left, however, a quick phone call rectified the situation and I was promptly credited for the overage.

If you're gluten intolerant they should know what foods have gluten from their menu. If you don't eat animal products they should have alternatives. Never go there again!!!
