We live about 90 miles away, and when we go to Helena, we go to Steve's! It is a great pre-incentive for my husband for having to go through Costco with me. 😆
This is such a great little diner. One thing I love is that they have a separate gluten-free menu that includes breakfast and lunch! I don't have to second guess (or ask!) what is okay for me to order.
The service has always been great— every hostess, every server—they all appear to love their job! Even when they are busy, they are attentive!
My favorite menu item is the gluten-free Huckleberry Waffle. (I even remembered to take a picture, even though I was already elbow deep in it!) I order it every time, along with a Denver Omlette and hashbrowns. (I have a big appetite, and it shows! Lol)
My husband jumps around the menu more than I do, but he LOVES the bacon and will get a side of it with whatever he is ordering!

What a charming little hole-in-the-wall Cafe! There was a bit of a wait at the start but the waitress was very polite about it and asked if we would mind waiting a little bit. She was the only waitress, so she was busy and it was a little wait. The food was definitely 5 stars, with it coming out promptly, the flavors blending well, and the ingredients obviously fresh.
