Stopped here for coffee. Noticed they had gluten free biscuits and gravy on the menu. So we came back the next morning for breakfast only to be told nobody made gravy the night before. We had to go elsewhere to eat, super bummed.

I love the community vibe of this awesome cafe. I'm gluten free (not by choice) and I ordered the 2 GF pancake, 2 eggs and 2 pieces of ham. I forgot how big the portions are in the US (Canadian here) and I tried to finish it all but couldn't. The service, food and the coffee were all exceptional!

My favorite breakfast in Bellingham. Their apple pancake is AMAZING, and is enough for 2 or 3 meals. I recently had to become gluten free and they were so accommodating and I was able to get their french toast gf and it was truly wonderful.

A local coffee shop/cafe inside an indie bookstore? What’s not to love?! The cafe is located on the 3rd floor of Village Books in Bellingham. (The stairs up are at the back of the bookstore on the left side, or take the elevator up.) The menu has delicious filling food that’s all locally sourced, hot/cold coffee & tea drinks, and fresh baked pastries & treats at the counter. They have gluten free options too. They do close earlier than the bookstore, so be sure to go early… it’s a great place for a late morning/early afternoon bite to eat. Their polenta bowl is one of my faves, and is shareable (for 2 people). I also like the key lime pie. And their biscuits are yummy too! 😋
