The food is amazing! As a celiac, I can trust that my food will be prepared safely with no cross contamination and I appreciate that so much!! Would definitely recommend
A bustling restaurant with Canadian fare with a meat-lover, kid-friendly, vegan and gluten-free friendly menus. Reasonably priced.
Known for their brunch. Solid happy hour.
More reasonable $ than an OEB, a more modern experience and menu for families, an elevated version of Browns. Highly recommend.
Also love that they have like 6 individual washrooms. Great for parents with kids.

The place is really nice and servers were kind but the food is very much not worth it - the quality and quantity were well below the price range. The fact that the gluten free food was not 100% gluten free did not help the experience either.
Sweet little neighborhood coffee shop. I was there for z business meeting
- free wifi. There were also parents with children and friends meeting. It was a great spot for everyone. I'm not sure of the food selection- I kinda stopped at the gluten free peanut butter square. Parking is on the street and side streets. Cute place!
This is such a cute coffee shop with so many beautiful, unique decor. Lots of local artists’ work displayed throughout. It was so much fun to just see the decors. Coffee shop was really clean, spacious and lots of indoor and outdoor seating available. Staff were friendly. They have vegan and gluten free options available. My iced latte was just average and I wouldn’t order it again but lavender scone was delicious!
I visited here after a long tym. I ordered gluten free unlimited topping pizza and really i was satisfied with Tanveer. Pizza was so yummyy…. Still my mouth watering. I will visit here soon with my friends.
I am really enjoying the regular lunches I am having at Gallagher’s. They have a variety of tasty gluten and dairy free options for me which is exaclty what I need.
I absolutely love this restaurant! The food is so amazing, my personal favourite being the lamb but you have to go and try everything. Even the soups I would go back for.
They’re also so friendly, and can cater to any type of diet which is usually tough for my celiac husband. This is our favourite gem in Port Moody for a nice dinner out!
Found this Mexican restaurant on a whim tonight and what an amazing meal and friendly service we had. I am Celiac (gluten free) and by asking a few questions was able to enjoy tortilla chips brought to the table and the Mazatlan Birria.
The tortilla chips were super crunchy and delicious and the right portion as a free appetizer to start next time. I will definitely order a side of guacamole for a dip as the guacamole looked amazing. For our meals, my partner ordered the enchiladas Pollo which he loved and I had the Mazatlan Birria. The meat was fall off the bone and the broth flavourful. The service from Miguel was perfect, he checked on us and provided what we needed in good time, very friendly.
For celiacs/gluten free:
1. The menu was labeled with gluten smart options
2. I asked the right questions to our server to ensure the meal was cooked on the same surface as gluten (flour tortillas) are cooked. For the Mazatlan Birria you are safe as the corn tortillas are separate and served warm but the quesabirria it is grilled in the same place as flour tortillas so even though it is marked Gluten smart it is not safe for celiacs.
3. Tortilla chips are cooked in the fryer and do not have any gluten in the fryer so all good.
Atmosphere is warm and welcoming. It’s a small restaurant so not a lot of seating and very cozy.
Definitely a must visit. Will be back again for sure! 🙂
This was my first time at sushi modo in Port Moody with my two daughters who are gluten free. The food was amazing, they were extremely helpful with the girls food sensitivities. Fresh hot tea was regularly offered. It was clean, staff were very helpful and friendly. If I lived in Port Moody I would be dining here weekly. We will definitely be returning to Sushi Modo. It was amazing.
Had a private room birthday party for my son.
They changed it so that you can’t play with any of the toys upstairs anymore. You just get the room and that’s it. It is a nice facility. But some older reviews say you can play with toys this is NOT the case anymore. It was my fault for expecting toys being available. But as the kids can’t play in the playground some toddlers got bored with nothing to play with in the room as we ate. Having some toys set aside for party use and not daycare use would be good.
The food was very disappointing. You’re not allowed to bring outdoor food in so can only eat what is provided. They only have pizzas, grilled cheese, and quesadillas as options. Nothing available for ppl with gluten or lactose restrictions.
The way it is described on the website is not clear. I thought it would be enough food for kids and adults. When I called in describing who will be coming (10 kids and 11 adults) the staff said the 4 pizzas and fruit and veggie tray will be more than enough to feed all who is coming. It isn’t a fruit and veggie TRAY. It’s a fruit and veggie plate. On the fruit “tray” it is one green apple. A couple strawberries. And a couple slices of melon cut up baby led weaning size. To even feed 10 kids it would have been a stretch, let alone parents included.
The veggie “tray” is the equivalent of 3-4 celery stalks, a couple carrots, and one yellow pepper cut up.
Essentially do not have the expectation of grocery store trays or any other tray. It’s a small plate. Adjust your expectations and maybe you won’t be disappointed like us.
The pizza is not large nor very good quality. It is a thin crust on premade crust. When the website says a large pizza, keep in mind it’s a thin cracker like crust.
The grilled cheese which is 25$ for the plate is your basic grocery store sliced bread. Not good quality for 25$.
I had to add extra food as we were eating as I told my guests I would provide lunch but I realized it wasn’t enough food to feed everyone. Even though I called to confirm with the cafe ahead of time that it will be enough. Which is an awkward situation for a host of a party. I felt bad for telling people I would provide lunch only to not be able to have enough food. But my guests understood it was the cafe’s problem. When I told my guests these were the large pizzas more than one parent said “I’m pretty sure they got your order wrong” because of how small the pizzas were. Others said “you should talk to them because this can’t be the large pizza.” Another said “I suppose this is a large pizza… for a toddler”
Perks are: room is nice and clean. Staff were VERY friendly and kind. Coffee urn ($18) was good. Brought in ice cream cake from Rocky point icecream which they stored in their freezer for us. Because I hosted my party during the summer, the playground was not busy on the Saturday we had it. It was only the toddlers/babies at our party plus a few other kids which was a relief. I was worried it would be busy
Edit: manager called to apologize and offer a gift card which I appreciate. Still not enough to make a satisfactory experience but the customer service is still a highlight for me for this place.
Really good seafood chowder: tasty, packed with a variety of seafood, great texture and also gluten-free! My friends really enjoyed their blue cheese burger and cod and chips, too :) The service was friendly, kind, and efficient. I'd go back, for sure!
I love this place! They have a great selection of delicious, nutritious gluten free and dairy free meals and treats. I especially would like to give a commendation to Soheil (spel?) for always going the extra mile and making my visits extra special.
You can see that the people who work here really care about keeping it clean, and that is really important to me. I like how the items are sealed, so I worry less about getting it delivered or bringing home takeout.
They have menu items that are gluten free, and I like that I can order them without proclaiming my allergies and still feel relatively comfortable that I won't get sick.
I have been a variety of sushi restaurants in BC but Sushimura port moody was the best of them. Sashimi here was very fresh and the plating of special rolls was so fantastic that my children liked them. Nigiries here are the upgraded version of what I have had in japan. They prepared high chairs for baby and it was very helpful. They kindly reflected our custormized menus and offered various soy sauces (low sodium, gluten free, etc). And I wanna know the secret of special source as soon as possible. I will absolutely visit here again for sure.
Finally a place with a gluten free burger that is delicious!! I had the “mushroom lovers”. The meat was melting, super soft!
My daughter had the chicken strips and loved and she usually never likes chicken! ❤️
