I had high hopes after seeing the reviews and the gluten-free options.
The owner and staff were surprisingly hostile to our party as first timers, commenting directly to us (and others) throughout the meal about how absurd it was that we did not have cash on hand for payment. Very bizarre, and something I’ve never experienced before.
The gluten-free pizza tasted worse than a Domino’s pizza, and was twice the cost ($25). I can’t recommend much about this venue.
One of the most underwhelming Italian restaurants I’ve been to in the city. Service was great but both pastas, one gluten free and one normal were overcooked and gummy. Ordered two glasses of wine and it was spilled out of the glass while being poured.
Went out for dinner on a Friday night, and after a very rude manager sort of tanked the vibes of the meal, Yun was nice enough to give us a $50 credit over the phone for our next meal. Overall, I enjoyed the crazy peanuts, the mains are fair, and both our servers were lovely. Gluten free options as well. Thank you Yun for your fabulous customer service and hopefully that manager was just having an off day :)
Sandwell was right around the corner from our hotel. What a find! We stopped in for happy hour, which was a lot of fun and a great deal. Best of all, the sandwiches were delicious and there was a gluten free option for my wife, which was a total bonus. There are A LOT of options in this neighborhood, but Sandwell is the place to be! Highly recommended!
This is a favorite spot for lunch with a beautiful view of Central Park. All GF items are marked on the menu and the staff is very helpful. We got the asparagus salad and salmon with broccolini.
