Fabulous service and gluten free fried fish, shrimp & hush puppies! It was so amazing! Being able to eat food I love and have no reaction was so amazing and so special! We will definitely be back!
As the only gluten and dairy free person within a group of six, it’s hard to find locations that I can eat at while traveling. When I found this place, which has very SPECIFIC advertising about being dietary friendly bakery, I was so excited. Unfortunately, this place was WILDLY disappointing.
We arrived on Saturday at the moment it opened (10am - which is very late for a breakfast bakery) and were the first people in the doors. When we saw the menu, there were only 2 items listed with (gf). Blueberry muffins and carrot cake.
Unfortunately, I’m allergic to warming spices, such as cinnamon, as well as gluten and dairy, and we made sure to tell the cashier that right off the bat. They told us that the carrot cake had cinnamon, but didn’t mention anything about the blueberry muffins, so we got those.
After getting home and taking one bite, I realized the blueberry muffins ALSO had cinnamon in it, and we had to throw them out.
Needless to say, I am beyond disappointed in this bakery. While I know that not all people have the same dietary restrictions as I do, your advertising and marketing needs a massive make over. With the way it was presented, we believed everything within the bakery was allergy friendly. It needs to read, “limited gluten free and dairy free options available” or something along those lines.
Sadly, I’m only giving one star because I can’t physically give zero and still write a review. I wanted to share my experience with anyone else who is wanting to go here for their “Gluten and Dairy Free Muffins” - which is a direct quote from the top of their website home page.
Please fix your advertising and marketing.
I drove out of the way with a bunch of kids to eat their gluten free pizza as they advertised online and in their in person menu. When I went to order they stated they didn’t carry it anymore. Terrible and rude customer service.
Travel and having family members with true celiac disease issues do not mix well. But when we showed up with our questions at the Wood Fired Grill, we were greeted by Diamond at the bar who let us know that some items on the menu could be prepared safely for my husband and daughter. We made our reservation right then; We were there on Father’s Day, but we were also celebrating our daughter’s 13th birthday. Meagan in dining made sure everything was prepared separately from myself and my other daughter, as we have no food allergies. And when we told her the birthday girl has celiac’s disease, she let us know that their brownie dessert was made gluten free, as well. Meagan went out of her way the entire time to make them feel comfortable and confident dining here. We almost never get chances to eat as a family in restaurants together because there’s rarely any way things can be prepared separately for them. Meagan and Diamond never made us feel awkward and that meant the world to us, as well. Please forward our thanks to them and the entire dining team, whom were all pleasant that evening. It was so great to find knowledgeable staff who made it so I didn’t have worry at all that my wolf pack would feel ill after a meal.
