I had the ahi which was great. The artichoke spinach dip had a nice flavor (order bread the crackers were fine but bread would be better), the peach 🍑 lemonade was delicious...then the surprise. I took home the mushroom tortellini and had it later for dinner and the flavor was AMAZING! My daughter loved her salmon too. The have so many options for vegan & gluten free diets as well!
some of the best and most flavorful cauliflower wings ever!! how is the ranch vegan? it was so good! i also had the fluffernutter cookie which again was beyond great, also so surprised it was gluten and vegan! i felt so welcomed and cannot wait to come back and support a business that is passionate about what they do!! as someone with gluten, dairy and egg allergies i often eat at vegan places to avoid cross contamination, i explained this to the server and they were so excited to help me navigate the menu!
TONS of Gluten Free options here! Very friendly, very accommodating! Great foods! This is a vegan restaurant and they have soooooooo many gluten free options.
Went for dinner and the food was very good. The seasonal salad was well balanced, and we had incredible surf and turf and scallops for main courses. Highly recommend the shrimp scampi. Limited options for our dietary restrictions (gluten free) but the courses we picked were good. Service was a bit slow, and our booth cushions loked ragged- not quite the atmosphere we expected. Still had a good time though.
We've always enjoyed our experiences here.
Just a heads up for GF people... the rice pilaf does appear to contain barley, which is NOT gluten free, and I did not see it indicated on the menu.
This was my first time here. I may return but my expectations aren't too high. The group I was with was satisfied with their meals, especially the beignets. They did look very tasty! That being said, I have celiac and am limited in food choices. The person who planned this event chose Octapas because they had gluten free options. Actually there were 2 options. One was huevos rancheros, that is what I chose, hard to mess it up. Boy was I wrong. The good first, the eggs were perfectly cooked and the few bits of cheese were authentic. The not so good, my plate and meal were cold, the beans were strained before putting them on the plate so now were dry(and cold), I swear the sauce - which should be a ranchero sauce with a flavorful Chile taste and aroma- came right out of a can labeled tomato paste. It had some dried green herbs sprinkled on it... and did I mention it was cold. There was no rice or potatoes - as is customary with huevos rancheros. I finished it quickly but left hungry. There is another gluten free options on the menu... I may try it, hope it isn't cold. The server was very attentive and checked on us often. The atmosphere was very nice and we all appreciated the artwork on the walls.
