Whilst it is expensive, the bread is beautiful, along with the pasties.
The sausage rolls are good just a little oily. Cakes are like I remember them when I wasn't a coeliac.
The best fish and chips we've had in a long time. Beautiful light crispy batter on the flake and crab sticks. Fantastic that they offer gluten free, having a kid with coeliac, take out is often tricky to find true gluten free options- they have a separate fryer etc.
I will say (in the nicest way possible) just looking at the building, not knowing they offer gluten free I would probably not order from there but I was pleasantly surprised. So to the owner a little bit of TLC on the building would go a long way. Highly recommend
Great food, I always visit here at least once a week. However today when I was served I asked if there was gravy, the server laughed at me and said ‘ no we are gluten free’ I feel humiliated as I know there is gluten free gravy it was only a simple question I asked. I do not believe the laugh & smart remark was necessary.
Food was pretty good. Popped in for a quick bite before another event and was served pretty quickly even though it was relatively busy. Went back later for a burger, which was pretty good. Not the best I've ever had but pretty good and they had a gluten free bun option, which was good. Chips were good.
Purchased a gluten free pie for $9.50 to be given one in a packet which is a commercial product. I buy the same pie for $6.50 at the MCG, so who is price gouging? Coffee was good as usual.
Absolutely incredible! Chips are some of the best I've had and their vegan dip is 🤩. 11/10 recommend.

I wish I didn't live 2 hours away from this restaurant. I came for lunch with a family group of 6. Amongst us were a vegan, pescatarian, vegatarian, two omnivores and a coeliac. The amazing server took notes on all of this (it was on the booking form but she confirmed individually). We then ordered a set menu and were delighted when each item came out with clear instructions on who would eat what. Each person's dietary needs were considered in a way which was not just compliant, but also delicious. We left 2.5 hour later with full bellies and very content that we had such a special day out. And it was incredibly good value. We will be back on our next visit to Bendigo
Great place, Wether it be for amazing coffee or other beverages, cakes and slices or a delicious meal. Also caters for gf and its amazing gluten free products for those like myself who are celiac. Would highly recommend. The staff are friendly, the place itself is set up beautifully and at a good price. My new fave place to treat myself
I love that they had several gluten & dairy free options to choose from. I had the rice porridge which was delicious and filling. The service was excellent with the staff happy to suggest options that suited my dietary needs. Lovely, relaxed atmosphere.
We had lunch today 8/4/2021, service fantastic and friendly. We had three people and all opted for the specials on the lunch menu. One fish, one lamb roast and one lamb cutlets. I also had a sweet., the gluten free option. All servings where of good size and deliciousness on a plate cooked to perfection. Exceptional price $20.00 each this also included a drink of either beer, wine or soft drink. Sweet $12.00. We will definitely be back again and highly recommend this great venue. Cheers table 23.
This venue is a true gem. The food is consistently beautiful, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the views are lovely. The staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming, from the moment you walk in to the cheerful wave goodbye as you leave.
The portion sizes are generous, and the meals are clearly made with care and attention to detail. On one visit, there was a small mistake with my order, and the staff couldn’t have been more apologetic. They quickly fixed it and even took the initiative to offer a complimentary coffee, which honestly wasn’t necessary, but such a thoughtful gesture.
We keep coming back, not just for the food, but for the level of service that really stands out. Some say the prices are a little higher than other local spots, but you're paying for quality: attentive service, a beautiful venue, carefully prepared and large portioned food, and a relaxing ambience with lovely views.
They also offer fantastic vegan and gluten-free options, hands down one of the best vegan breakfasts in town. It’s fast become our go-to café, and we recommend it to everyone we know.
Wonderful staff, very helpful with food intolerances. Gluten and dairy free options available and staff were so happy to help me with this.
The lamb rogan josh is amazing.
Definitely will be back, amazing service.
Vegan pizza and garlic bread 5 STARS!! We had 1 deep pan and 1 gluten free and they were both fantastic.
DON'T recommend the chips though as they were pretty awful - cold, bland and dry (some soggy). Dominoes should stick to pizza :')
Holy crap. I have no words. That was the BEST gluten free bao and ramen I have ever had. I forgot to take a photo of the 36 hour pork belly bao because I ate it too quickly, I don't know what their secret is but it was absolutely DEEEEEELICIOUS!
10/10
My sister and I dined at the restaurant on Thursday 15th May while visiting Bendigo. The staff were amazing, the food incredible, the best vegetable penne, gluten free, I have ever tasted. My sister had the same but regular penne and hers was also delicious. Definitely recommend this to anyone.m
They have plenty of gluten free options and I love the Mexican punch. The only issue is their soft tacos - they taste like cardboard but the fillings are amazing.
Had a lovely lunch at The Rifle Brigade Hotel yesterday. The food was really delicious with large portions for the the money. They have a few gluten free options which is good and the waitress asked if my gluten free meal was due to coeliac disease and which I really appreciated that they are considerate of that. I had the gluten free lemon pepper calamari which was flavourful and soft. My parents had the steak and the stuffed chicken which they both loved. Special thanks to our first waiter Fraser who was extremely accommodating to my mum. There was initially only tables available outside, we asked if it was possible to sit inside and initially was offered a bar table and bar chairs, due to my mum's injured leg it would have been hard for my to get up on a bar chair. Fraser did his best and found us a normal table. My mum was extremely appreciative. Wonderful experience and definitely would be back.
The best pizza in Bendigo!! The best gluten free pizza base I've ever had. Toppings were amazing, plentiful. My friends who were visiting are forever converted to gluten free and Say Cheese Pizza is my new fave 🍕
Highly recommend!!!
Brilliant food and service and allowance made for my gluten free and mushroom free foods was terrific.
The tastes were complex and just makes me want to go back and have some more
Just had an incredibly delicious. Should have taken a pic but inhaled it 🙃
As a coeliac, there is nothing more comforting when ordering the gluten free option to be asked if you are a coeliac. Well done Nude Food. If I could have given more stars I would have
I went there for a friend’s birthday. We all ended up going a bit rogue and ordering outside the menu. They made a whole lot of special vegan and gluten free dishes to accomodate my dietary requirements. The cauliflower was to die for. I’ll be going back many times again for this dish alone.
Second time we have been here, before and after covid, and it hasn't changed. Seems very authentic, lots of choice, many gluten free options.
Some dishes tasted different from other places but still delicious
My husband was looking for a big brekkie during our visit to Bendigo. We found this place to be great at big breakfast. Not only was it tasty, they had gluten free bread and replaced my chorizo and bacon with salmon. The coffee mugs are real huge. The waitresses were really nice and the place had a nice ambiance. Overall, I highly recommend it.
I LOVE IT HERE. So many gluten free options ! The butterbings are to die for! I love the hotchocolates here! Also the staff are so friendly! We have really gotten to know them! Best cafe in Bendigo !
4 of us dined in today i had the chicken breast which was stuffed served with chat pot and greens.
I have been coeliac for 23 years and it was without a doubt the best gf meal i have ever eaten dining out.
Service and food faultless cannot wait to return again
Fantastic experience at GPO! As a coeliac, I particularly would like to mention the due diligence shown by the lovely waitress and chef in ensuring that my needs were catered for. This is so appreciated 😊
The meal was just fabulous and the dessert makes me wish I lived closer so that I could be a frequent visitor!
Thank you all for a fantastic and memorable evening - total 10 out of 10!
If you're looking for a spot with a fantastic variety of food, Jojo's is the place to be! The menu offers something for everyone, with a great range of options including gluten-free and allergy-friendly dishes. The nachos are an absolute must-try—crispy, flavorful, and piled high with toppings. The prawn risotto is another standout, creamy and perfectly cooked with just the right balance of flavors. And let’s not forget the carbonara—it’s hands down the best I’ve ever had, rich and decadent with the perfect amount of creamy sauce.
On top of the delicious food, the service is excellent—quick, friendly, and attentive, making the whole dining experience even better. Everything is served fresh and hot, and you can tell they really take pride in their food. Highly recommend Jojo’s for a meal that’s both yummy and satisfying!
My partner and I were on our way home to Melbourne from Swan Hill. We just randomly found this place for dinner because we saw the rating in google and also saw the photo that they serve steak. I found the green peppercorn sauce for the steak was absolutely fantastic. The peppercorn flavour is strong enough that you know it’s pepper sauce. I know a lot of places stuff it up. The salads in the dishes are very nice and fresh, unlike the soggy soft and disgusting one in the supermarket. Gluten free option for fisherman basket is also good. You know it’s hard to find gluten free fish and chips or seafood baskets etc., not to mention to find a good one.
Stopped in here for brunch, food was absolutely delicious! The staff were super friendly and happy to accommodate gluten free options. Food was very reasonably priced and came out super quick.
I had the Eggs Benedict Croissant and would highly highly recommend it!
Really yummy toppings on our pizzas and they were generous too!
The gluten free base was okay, not my favourite but it’s hard to come across a good one. Will try again in future :)
Amazing ice cream and sorbets. Plenty of flavours to choose from, and many are gluten-free. There are tables located outside where you can sit with your dogs. They also serve light meals.
What a beautiful experience! Everything was remarkable for our evening dining at Alium - elegant and generous food, refined and attentive service, in a majestic heritage building overlooking the park. We especially loved the showcase of local wines. We will be back (and not just for the too-good-to-be-true gluten-free bread!)
Starters of oysters and king fish were so fresh. Steaks were cooked to perfection and the sides were of a good size with the flavours complementing the meat well. Dessert was amazing, the largest brulee I have ever had. Staff were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Plenty of gluten free options which made the dining experience more enjoyable as there were many options I could choose from. Would definitely return when back in Bendigo
Beautiful smoked meats with lovely glazing (which is glutenfree!). Staff very friendly and was happy to accommodate is on short notice. It's a small place, so best to book in advance.
