BE CAREFUL WITH INTOLERANCE, I WILL NEVER RETURN
Last Friday I made a reservation for dinner, when I called I asked to make sure the food was 100% gluten-free, since I have celiac disease. And they confirmed to me that yes, everything is suitable.
We arrived at the reserved time and from the beginning it was chaos, they showed us our table and from the moment we sat down until they took our drink order, about 20/25 minutes passed.
We ordered dinner and gluten-free bread (confirming everything gluten-free). The first tapa arrived wrong and one of the waiters insisted that we had ordered lasagna when we had ordered cannelloni.
Finally they brought the tapas that we had ordered, which were really delicious but nothing to highlight either. The gluten-free bread was brought with the last tapa we had ordered…
Finally, we wanted to try a dessert and we ordered a chocolate cake that I previously confirmed with the waitress and herself with the kitchen that I could eat it without problem, gluten-free.
The cake without further ado, a chocolate cake with salt and caramel but nothing special either.
We had tapas of salad, roasted garlic sirloin and cannelloni for dinner and we closed with the cake that I indicated. All this for €38
My surprise comes when I get home and start to feel sick with my stomach, nausea, inflammation... which amounts to gluten contamination.
I don't know if they gave me a product with gluten, that had traces, or if there was contamination from the kitchen to the table, but what I am sure of is that we will not return again, and I cannot recommend a place where they claim to be GLUTEN FREE but I have been contaminated.
Beware of celiacs, not everything is as beautiful as they make it out to be
Simply spectacular!!
I am CELIACO and I saw it by chance in comments, the best gluten-free pizza I have ever tried.
I plan to repeat it a thousand times, I leave delighted!
I've been going there for a long time, everything I've tried has always been delicious. I have celiac disease and they have never given me a problem, not only do they offer almost the entire menu gluten-free, but they continue trying to innovate and add gluten-free things :)
If you are celiac it is a mandatory stop (and if you are not, if what my whole family says is true, too)
We were eating on the way to Portugal. Very pleasant treatment. It has a covered terrace in case you go with a pet. The food is delicious and they have very good gluten-free French toast.
I had crumbs for breakfast and it is very sticky and dry. The toast is very good. The only thing is that you put the ham in very thin slices and they are packaged and few. I would change everything else, everything would be perfect and there is something for celiacs and milk without lastosa
My favorite place to eat, I don't think there is anything like it in Badajoz, and I would be very surprised to find somewhere at some point that manages the same quality as they do here. Crazy, each burger better than the last. Every month they bring something new, and even if I think I'm not going to like it, you always have to trust the cook!! I have yet to try a burger that I didn't like. The recommendations thing is difficult because everything is good, you have to go several times to be able to try everything hahaha
You can really see the care they put into preparing the dishes, the waiters are always super friendly, and the owner is very attentive and also kind. Personally, I am a celiac, and I am very grateful for the care and inclusion. <3
High-class Italian restaurant. Jovial decor, but typical Italian with class. Refreshing spritz, accompanied by crispy and tasty focaccia, served with homemade pesto sauce. Ossobuco melting on your fork, accompanied by vigorous saffron canaroli rice. Burrata risotto, with sun-dried tomatoes and pancetta served in a casserole dish with a punch of flavor. Gluten-free tiramisu left something to be desired. But overall, a very positive experience, in a classy, well-branded Italian restaurant in Badajoz!
Family atmosphere and excellent treatment. An incomparable setting, in the Plaza Alta of Badajoz. Ease of eating gluten-free. Fantastic terrace to enjoy an incredible temperature in the month of December. EXCELLENT quality of portions and a very good quality-price ratio. 100% recommended
The food is delicious .
If I would add the size of the gluten-free bread, it is super small, two little pieces of nothing and it is very hard. Since you have extra money, this would be very good to take care of.
Cleaning the water glasses...regular.
Otherwise very delicious and the place is beautiful.
All perfect. The treatment was kind and friendly, and they served us quite quickly for the crowd that was there. The toasts are very good, as is the coffee. Good place with terrace. The price seemed very cheap to us. Lots of variety, they even have gluten-free bread which is ideal for celiacs.
Italian with a lot of quality and many gluten-free options. You have to call in advance but they make gluten-free pastas, pizzas, bread and desserts, and everything is adapted. I have tried the tiramisu (gluten-free) and the nougat ice cream, and in addition to the fact that the desserts are delicious, they are huge. Unmatched quality, without a doubt one of the best Italian in Badajoz
It's always a success!! The burrata salad is a delight and the grilled feather was spectacular, it has been a long time since I had meat this delicious. They also have gluten-free bread. My favorite place in Badajoz.
The best restaurant in Badajoz to eat GLUTEN-FREE sushi with peace of mind, prepared and delicious. In addition to many other oriental dishes (noodles, beef, pork or chicken wok, tartar...)
Great price, service and atmosphere.
A few days ago we were with a group of students from the special education center where I work having breakfast at this establishment after not wanting to serve us at another nearby cafeteria. They treated us with great kindness, courtesy and patience (not all establishments serve us like this unfortunately 😞) The toast was good and they have gluten-free bread for celiacs. We feel very welcome.
All very rich. Options available for celiacs, with gluten-free bread and beers. The portions could be a little more generous, but the price is right. A quiet and cozy place and attentive and friendly staff
