Came here with some colleagues for a works meal. The place was very clean and tidy, we was meeted and greeted at the door and shown to our table by a friendly member of staff. The service was fast and polite and the food was outstanding. Plenty of vegan options and gluten free we will be making another visit for sure. Welldone.

Popped in for lunch on a sunny Sunday after walking around Carsington reservoir. Huge menu, something for everyone…I had a steak sandwich which came with Stilton and red onions and chips…they were able to deconstruct and take out the bread and switch my chips as I am gluten and potato intolerant. Rest of the my fellow diners had steak sandwich and the burger…all extremely pleased with theirs too. Sorry forgot to take photos too hungry and busy eating! 🤣 Thanks next time we are in the area we will be back for sure!

Great place! The atmosphere was busy and social, but you were still able to have a conversation easily. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu/drinks. Nothing was too much to ask, even though it was busy. They went above and beyond to cater to all needs (including providing a large range of gluten free options.) The food was lovely and prepared well. Will definitely be returning in future.

I've started to use this chippy over the months and now its time for a review. This chippy is fantastic. The fish and chips are first class. The chips and batter is crispy and there are a lot of food choices. Amazingly the owner provides some gluten free options including certain non fried foods which are home made dishes curry, lasagna, etc, they are different each week which, I must say, I've tried and is first class too. If you are gluten intolerant then they offer gluten free batter for your fish noting that its still fried in the same oil as the non gluten fish batter at the moment (that suits me though, no issues at all). All-in-all a brilliant chippy and I hope this business flourishes.

We had an excellent meal. The menu was good with some very nice veggie and gluten free options and the food was excellent and presented very well. Our waitress was very new - it was her first shift in the job but she was great and another staff member was helping her very sensitively which was good to see.

Good food, fast service and friendly atmosphere. Well above par for a local pub. Dog friendly with an impressive gluten free selection too. When you book a table for ten and everybody clears their plate you know they've got a good chef in the kitchen. :-)
