They are very good at offering options for a variety of diets, but experienced some discomfort after. Wouldn’t recommend anything from the kitchen (they have gf wrapped pastries) for anyone with celiac.
Good food and service. Food was over-salted. Atmosphere a bit crowded with so many tables but we were happy to get in and did enjoy our meal. Gluten friendly!
The food was excellent! The menu is clearly labeled with vegan and gluten-free options, which made ordering easy. Mashroom masala was delicious. Rakesh, who served us, was friendly and attentive throughout the meal.
What a bummer, I have eaten here a few times. The egg drop soup is watered down broth. Not a fan, which sucks because egg drop soup is mi favorita! The crunchy noodles with the soup are not gluten-free, which I forgot to ask, and the worker just said sorry and hung up the phone. Meh. The Singapore noodles are delicious, though, 3 stars. I'd recommend other places.
Have to say went thinking it would be great to hang out and eat some pizza. Since we are gluten free there is a limited but good option. Restaurant was cold and unwelcoming. Decided to get food to go and eat in the car.
This place has been there forever. There's a good reason for that because the food is absolutely amazing! I love eating there. They also have great vegetarian and gluten-free options.
GLUTEN FREE ROLLS ARE NOT CELIAC SAFE! I went in with my partner last week and ordered a gluten free roll, while they ordered one gluten containing. We put a note in the order that there was a gluten allergy and we even went to the counter to tell them to be careful of cross contamination between things gluten containing. Despite this, we watched them put the gluten containing topping on my partners roll and then use the same gloves to put the ginger and wasabi onto my plate. I tried a bite that hadn’t touched the ginger and wasabi and immediately felt a reaction, which means that there was other cross contamination in the kitchen. I ended up being very sick the next day. If you have a severe gluten allergy or celiac, this place is NOT for you. I gave three stars on the food because the bite I had tasted good, but the cost was my digestion.
Upon walking into this establishment I've noticed the Mediterranean Blue are walls. Now I have never eaten at a Greek restaurant so at first I was apprehensive. But our waitress Zelda, oh fantastic. UC articulated the off menu special and it was enticing. Unfortunately I could not eat it as I have a dairy allergy. But with that being said I ordered the French dip and the portion is amazing. Friendship was perfect and the alcoholic beverage was mixed to perfection. Definitely will be coming back. But the shining star of this visit was the gluten-free brownie. Very dense very flavorful but not overly sweet. Dense? I faked homemade brownies before that the whole sheet didn't weigh as much as this slice.
I was looking for a good spot for a quick breakfast with gluten free bread. Their GF toast was very good and they're very open to customizing the sandwiches. Very friendly service too
Saucy Bombay truly goes above and beyond when it comes to customer service! From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly attentive, making sure my gluten allergy was handled with care. They even let us sample all the sauces so we could choose our favorite—such a thoughtful touch! And to top it off, they made my partner's naan fresh to go, ensuring everything was just right. Exceptional service, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere—can’t recommend them enough!
The food was incredible. I was highly appreciative that everything was gluten free except the burger. It felt like a very safe restaurant for someone with celiac like me! Also plenty of vegetarian options. The pickled veggie roll and cauliflower tempura were my favorite things! The spicy edamame was SPICY and delicious!
Didn't realize this place went in a couple blocks away and decided to hit it up with wifey. I would get a resy, but we walked in at 4:30 and were seated.
We were not disappointed, was amazing. Drinks were good, food was great, service was great, and most the menu could accommodate gluten free. My favorite was the soft boiled egg in rice dish...forget what it was called but damn! Wife's favorite was the trout. Seriously though everything was great, definitely need to check it out.
I love the variety of pizzas. I can't eat gluten anymore but when I tried the pizzas 2 years ago I loved them. The restaurant shares space with Tua Mama's Pizzeria.
If you love sandwiches, even if you don't think Mary Jane-related humor is funny, you owe this chain a visit. Definitely the best sandwiches I've ever had anywhere. In fact, things here are so good, I've tried a pizza sub served hot as a salad (the friend in question was gluten free and feeling feisty), and even that was great - I really don't think you can go wrong here!
