Mario's has the best gluten free subs that I have ever had. They are mouth watering delicious and packed full. They are amazingly knowledgeable about gluten free and our gluten free family truly appreciates that. We can't wait to return on our next visit to the Burg.
Came in because they had labeled GF options and myself and family eat GF (one Celiac, one intolerant). Their crab dip is labeled as "able to be made GF," so we asked the server about it (comes w/ GF chips instead of crostini). Thankfully our server, who was super friendly and polite, was also knowledgeable enough to question the dip itself being GF. Turns out it's NOT, even though it's labeled that way on the menu.
The rest of the meal we had was good. Highlight was service. MAJOR kuddos to the server!!
My wife and I went to LG's Pizzeria and Pub during a brief stop in Frostburg while riding the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad. The food was good when it eventually arrived. My wife ordered a chicken sandwich with fries, which she said was just okay. I had a burger on a very well-toasted gluten-free bun. The meat was fresh, juicy, and flavorful—definitely the highlight of the meal.
The main issue was the wait time—our food took about 30 minutes to arrive. During that time, one server was eating lunch and chatting with customers at the bar, while the other disappeared for long stretches. That took away from the experience, especially since we were on a tight schedule and hoping to explore Frostburg a bit more before heading back to the train.
Overall, the food was good, but be prepared for a potentially long wait. If you're short on time and want to explore the town, you might want to consider other options.
Delicious lunches, dinner and pre-made meals to go. Healthy, organic produce, meats and dairy. Lots of vegan snd gluten free options. Bulk grains sold as well.
What a great local spot! Lots of options for me that are gluten free. Everything was delicious. They have live music and other cool events. The staff were very welcoming. The yogurt parfait was a delightful surprise! It wasn't bland at all. The homemade jam in it was amazing! The bread pudding was delicious as well, according to my partner. And my bagel with turkey on it was very good. I was so happy to have that option for breakfast.
Cozy little café with soft acoustic music on stream and a really wide variety of snacks and meal items to boot. I love sitting in the sunshine either outside or in their window seats. Coffee is tasty and they make whatever you want to order by hand. They have a refrigerated section for non coffee drinks to purchase, fresh baked goods, and gluten free as well as vegan options. They always have a vegetarian special and you can find something substantial and delicious to eat whether you have $5 or $20 to spend on yourself. Always a favorite with me and my family.
I agree with every 5-star review! Wow!
Keeping in mind this is an informal place, the food that we ordered was fantastic. We were seated promptly, the server arrived immediately, and the food was on time and great!
The burger rivaled the best we’ve had anywhere (they must be grinding steak back there… amazing flavor.) The entree salad we ordered (Southwest Cobb Salad, w/ grilled chicken added) was fantastic too. Every component has real flavor.
We found numerous things on the menu that we wanted to try. That is rare for us, ha. FYI: They offer gluten-free bread/buns, but they don’t seem to advertise that.
We were just traveling through. I wish we had one of these near us.
