I have visited several times now. My first was during their soft opening. So I've been visiting long enough to see progression. I have Celiac Disease it is wonderful that they have a gluten free kitchen! I have eaten here safely with no concerns. The owners and everyone are very friendly. The food is fresh homemade and delicious. I'm not a beer drinker so I can't review the beer, however they also make their own soda and my favorite is black cherry. If anyone has gluten sensitivity this is the place to go. Keep in mind though it is a gluten free kitchen it does not lack flavor or fun food. My entire family loves this place. One quick suggestion for us allergy folks a gluten free/dairy free ice cream would be great to include as an option for the tasty looking desserts you offer.
Rainbow Restaurant is an unpretentious, traditional Chinese restaurant with the added bonus of the ability to make many of their dishes gluten free upon request.
This feature brought us there as one of us must be gluten free. The dishes we ordered were delicious and the portions were so generous that we had had enough for lunch the next day.
We will definitely be back!
The Burger Basement Bar in downtown Farmington is always great--whether you sit at the bar with a friend or a table with your family. The endless burger possibilities/combinations make it so you could go classic with lettuce, tomato, pickles and jazz it up with cucumbers or olives or a fried egg. For those with gluten allergies, there is a gluten free bun option for a $2 charge - and it's safe and worth it. I've never had a reaction after being at BBB. They are also happy to serve it without a bun and the presentation is nice so it doesn't feel like you're eating a sad burger without a bun because you have a gluten allergy. Also, the salads are similar in the endless possibilities/combinations category too. Another positive if you or someone you know is like my mom and doesn't actually want to pick things for a salad or burger, there is a menu to select from for burgers and salads too. Trivia night is tons of fun and there are always lots of options on the TVs.
Great variety of coffee and gluten free nibble treats. Very warm and welcoming atmosphere. It is like enjoying a cup of coffee in your library of your estate. Small little gift shop inside as well.
Fantastic brunch with lots of gluten free options! Everything we tried tasted amazing. Mimosa flights are so worth it. There’s so many options to pick from! They have a very fun/festive holiday menu as well!
In the past I would have given La Pecora 5 stars and raving reviews, but it seems they have changed this year. One of the biggest reasons I enjoyed it so much is because of the delicious gluten free bread they used to offer. I am 99% sure it was from a local gluten free bakery because it was the best gluten free sub bun/bread I have ever had at a restaurant. For this reason we would go a lot, because as someone who cannot eat gluten, it was great!
However, this all changed last time we came here a few weeks ago. It had been a month or two since we last went so I suggested it to my husband. We both got our regular order (Napa valley club) but we were both very disappointed. My gluten free version of the sandwich did not have the delicious bread I was used to, it had store bought, very dry, very bland, and for some reason sweet bread. I should have known something changed when I ordered it toasted and they said the bread would “fall apart” and could not be toasted. They always toasted it with the other bread so that was a red flag. They charge $3 for this bread, and I was more than happy to pay $3 when it was the quality GF bread, but this was so bad I couldn’t even eat half my sandwich. Keep in mind the total for my sandwich alone was around $20 since I have to order gluten free, and it was just not good at all. The second issue with our order was that my husband’s sandwich (also Napa club but with normal bread) literally looked like it had been punched. We were both so confused, it looked like someone had thrown it against the wall. He still ate part of it but the fact it was not wrapped like it normally was was definitely off putting.
We used to love this place, but please bring back the good gluten free bread. It’s not cool to charge $3 a sandwich for dry and flavorless store bought bread. The standard has dropped a lot in our opinion and we will not be back as I don’t know if they will change their GF bread situation. The people here are kind but I just wanted to warn those looking to get a decent gluten free sandwich, do not waste your money. You will be disappointed as I was.
My husband and I tried Sushi House for the first time today and our experience was absolutely fantastic. Upon entering the restaurant we were immediately warmly greeted by the entire staff and seated promptly.
We ordered miso soup, spicy tuna roll, spicy salmon roll, Camino roll, and the Salmon Wow Roll. Miso was impeccable. Would definitely order the spicy salmon and Camino rolls again.
This restaurant offers gluten free substitutions including gluten free soy sauce and gluten free rice for sushi rolls.
Our waitress was very attentive and nice and checked on us the perfect amount of times.
The restaurant was very clean and had a nice layout.
We will be returning!
Fantastic shopping experience. Great shop with delicious options for foodies — including lots of gluten free options. Beautifully set up. Very helpful service. Will definitely return!
We love downtown Farmington and Dagwoods has been an anchor lunch restaurant in the city for a long time. While a yummy, fresh deli sandwich can reliably be found at Dagwoods, the price is high (5 sandwiches and 4 bags of chips for $100) and the portions are larger than anyone should really eat.
Because of pricing and portion size, my husband and I have been avoiding Dagwoods, but now we will not be returning. With our $100 sandwich takeout, we were just charged an additional $2 because my sandwich had to be prepared with accommodations for a gluten allergy. Note that there is already a $2 up-charge for gluten-free bread. In my 15 years eating out with celiac disease all over the world, I have never been charged more because of any extra procedure done for my food preparation.
Thankfully, Farmington’s food scene is improving all the time. We enjoy La Pecora Nera, Taques, and Heights Brewing, that are all new within the past year. And we look forward to all the new food options to come!
I called and spoke to a guy who made it seem like it's doordashes fault, but it's not, please update the doordash app giving gluten free options as the menu on the app doesn't give options to add other toppings other than cheese.
Will update once it's resolved.
Update: doordash has now been fixed. Simple. Thanks.
Sooooo gooooood! I loved creating my own wrap. They have gluten friendly wrap options. The staff is absolutely wonderful. Really enjoyed speaking with Alexis. Also, they did a special event to raise money for KickstART Farmington. Thank you very much! I will definitely be back. Highly recommend!
Great place to get a quick meal. They are an authetic Mexican restraurant with fresh ingredients. Nothing is greasy or leaves you bloated afterwards. Some items are gluten free. Their street tacos are a little small compared to other places I have been to. But don't let that fool you. They are flavorful and filling. Their taco shells are made fresh. You see them making them right when you walk in. Everything was clean and nice. For two people for lunch was under $15. Service was fast and kind. We will be back!
I had a delicious choose your own smoothie bowl. They offer lots of options for food (smoothies, bowls, wraps, salads). The fruit is fresh and delicious. A lot of their menu is vegan and gluten free.
