Perfect for gluten free meals! Amazing experience, beautiful atmosphere, delicious food, friendly waiter, clean bathrooms, and lovely outdoor seating with a view of NYC! I got the roasted mushroom tacos! Delicious!
I don’t say this lightly: Friedmans’ fish and chips might be the best I’ve ever had. Golden, crisp, and gluten-free without sacrificing a single ounce of flavor. The batter was perfectly light and crunchy, the fish flaky and fresh—like it dove out of the ocean and straight into the fryer with purpose. The fries? Thick-cut, hot, and seasoned just right. It’s rare to find a gluten-free dish that doesn’t feel gluten-free, but this one absolutely nailed it. I wouldn’t change a thing. 10/10, no notes.

Recommended place in Lincoln Square, a very pleasant dinner. Friendly service, nice atmosphere and excellent quality-price ratio. The oysters as a starter are a delicacy and the truffled gnocci are unmissable! There were also gluten-free options so we could all enjoy them equally.
The restaurant has an amazing location, it looks very chic and fancy. The waiter was super friendly and very attentive.
They have gluten free options available here!!! The food was good too, but i don’t know if the high price was justified. There was nothing wrong with it, but also not so amazing that it’s worth paying 30$ for a salad, but on the other hand it’s nyc prices and an amazing location. Can only recommend
I love this place. It's like they feel sorry for people who can't eat wheat: gluten-free pumpkin bread, English muffins, regular muffins, cupcakes. They also have bagels and white bread, but I haven't tried those yet.
I ordered the steak and my friend ordered the Lamb chops. DELICIOUS!!!!! I'm not big on seafood so I can't tell you about it, but everyone loved their food. The drink I had was the Atlantic Love, a bit too sweet for me, but well made. Fun time and with a group of 6, the service was very smooth. The calamari was good, but the seafood butter for the bread tasty fruity. I thought it was mango. They also had gluten free bread they brought out for the table too. I would go back!
The best! Even when they’re super busy, the line is fast and the staff is kind. Coffee is tasty and the food is solid. Lots of options if you’re gluten free (I’m not but still love the gluten free banana bread!)
Very busy - make a reservation. The food is phenomenal. The garlic bread is so yummy. The Caesar salad is really good with delicious, buttery homemade croutons. The pastas can be made gluten-free, which is great. And the gluten-free pasta tastes really good. The vodka sauce has a little kick to it... so yummy! Highly recommend.
The restaurant is fairly small and tight. Our server, Kayleigh, was excellent. The apps of a gluten free pizza and the Italian chopped salad were both very good. Two of the entrees (hangar steak and lamb chops) we're not good. actually, the steak had a foul odor, they removed it from the check. The rest of the entrees were good, but nothing I'd go back for. Disappointing
Friendly service with delicious traditional French crepes!
They have both the traditional batter and the gluten free buckwheat one as well for those that are gluten free.
Lots of sweet and savoury options!
I loved the service and the atmosphere here!! Such a happy place to sit down and enjoy a light meal. Great gluten free pastries and bread, coming from a fellow celiac. Tierney was awesome will definitely be coming back
Delicious food (fish “hash”, both lobster and tuna tacos, sides of pumpkin and greens), and cocktail (“the last word”).Warm, friendly service. Relaxed ambiance. Lots of gluten-free options. We will be back!
I really like that Oakberry Upper West offers gluten-free options. It's a great choice for those with dietary restrictions or preferences. Also, there's a variety of toppings. It's a great way to customize my acai bowl exactly how I like it.
I had The Buckminster (thought it was “Bucksmith” at first but either way, it was amazing). Every slice is looks like it's loaded with flavor and delicious. Big plus: they offer gluten-free crust, beer and wine, fountain and canned drinks.
They’ve got it all: slices or pies, garlic knots, cookies, salads...you name it. I was going to leave with a pizza to-go (but I'll be back!). This spot is 100% a go-back.
The food was excellent and the atmosphere was so cozy, but since dining here this experience hasn't sat right with me and I feel the need to bring it up to the restaurant and other people dining here. I told our survey that I had a gluten allergy and he was nice and accommodating, let us know what on the menu could be made gluten free and what couldn't. We ordered two appetizers and the mixed grill entree and the server let us know one piece of meat in the entree wasn't gluten free and he offered to bring it on a separate plate for my boyfriend. He then turned to me and said "what would you like instead, we could do chicken, filet mignon, fish, etc." implying he would sub that for the lamb that had gluten in it. I told him that whatever he recommends would be fine. Come to find out he added a $43 filet mignon entree to our ticket. Luckily my boyfriend realized what was going on and told me "he just upsold you a filet mignon" and we were able to remove it from the ticket, but the whole thing felt really scummy. The waiter's entire demeanor changed after I said "excuse me- when you said to add filet mignon was that an entirely separate entree?". He seemed sheepish and the rest of our dinner was just kind of awkward. For such a nice restaurant that isn't cheap, to feel like the staff is being dishonest and upselling two young customers like that was upsetting. We watched him talk rudely to an elderly couple sat next to us as well when their entree came at the same time as their appetizers. He rudely told them they should specify next time if they don't want the entree to come at the same time as the appetizer (I feel like that is something that wouldn't need to be specified??). The food was fabulous and the rest of the staff was genuinely lovely (there was a hostess who was so kind and made our night really special) so I think it is a problem with this specific server rather than the restaurant as a whole, but the whole thing was very shady and unsettling.
A neighbor recommended this restaurant and let's just say I now ask him for his weekly suggestion.
La Boite is truly a delicious meal - I have multiple allergies (cow dairy and gluten) they so easily accommodated them and didn't make a big deal it was lovely!
The branzino is the best branzino I have ever had. Ever. The sauce is a perfect mix of lemon and other seasonings. I chose two veg sides and they were equally divine. My first course was a salad with goat cheese which was divine.
My partner ate the ravioli which he thoroughly enjoyed. As for the steak the cut off meat he did not enjoy but the sauce was so delicious he was born as to his thoughts on it. He enjoyed the bread and butter served as well.
The wine selection was perfect and I found the staff lovely, they handled a full restaurant with ease. We also witnessed them dealing with a cross guest and they handled it so professionally.
I can not wait to return and would happily refer anyone to here.
Great spot to get food before a show at the Lincoln Center. Staff was friendly, helped us with the gluten free options (and informed us it was a shared frier which is important for my wife with celiac), and made delicious food and drinks.
Will definitely be back!
Enjoyed a lovely night out with friends at El Mitote. We shouted up at 6pm on Friday and were seated right away, but the place filled up very quickly after that, so plan accordingly since they don’t take reservations.
I had the tostadas with camarones (shrimp), my friends had tacos and quesadillas. Each of our dishes were about $20 and they accommodated my friend’s gluten allergy.
The servers were great and the noise level was a little much for my ears.
Great food attentive service. Easy to get to Beacon Theater. Great for gluten free options. Nice options in the bar... someone thought out the spirits list.
