The restaurant itself is beautiful and super nice on the inside. The decor was really cool and a perfect atmosphere for a date or business meeting. Now, although the inside was amazing, the food was meh. I got beef bulgogi and I’ll admit, I didn’t expect cherry tomatoes (I’ve never seen beef bulgogi have them before). The food itself was not entirely bad, but it was not beef bulgogi. The taste was more of just sautéed veggies, noodle, beef thrown in some kind of Asian sauce but not bulgogi sauce. Maybe it was because I got it made gluten free though. Which by the way is a really nice thing to have the option to make the dish gluten free. But, even my friend said it didn’t taste like beef bulgogi. My friend got shaking beef and it had cherry tomatoes, potatoes, and bacon in it which was an interesting take, but she didn’t really enjoy it. They do have free rice, so that’s a plus. This I feel is more of that restaurant one goes to if they like Asian inspired food, but not quite the real thing. Our server Tai was nice and we got seated fairly quickly. All in all a good experience.
Only two words describe my experience at this restaurant. HOLY COW.
The food. Delicious.
The vibes. Comfortable vintage.
But it's the people that make the place! My server was an absolute gem! Liv made me feel so seen and loved! She has a gift for casual conversation and she gave the best recommendation for my pizza! I got a gluten free Lawn Boy with Italian sausage. Unimaginable! Thank you Liv for serving my friends and me!
Nola’s is such a delicious gem in Tulsa. The food is phenomenal as are the cocktails. The atmosphere is also great. I got the shrimp & grits and I have dreamed of it ever since. This is definitely a must eat in Tulsa. Also noteworthy- I have celiac and they handled my gluten restriction with ease. Very knowledgeable staff. I did not get sick and felt I had plenty of options!
Very lovely. The food was good. The chips and ranch they give out are interesting but tasty. We ordered wings, smoked brisket mac&cheese and tacos. My brisket tacos were a little dry, probably because I took out the Jalapeño Pico. We also got the chocolate dessert, gluten-free, and it was delicious. Our waiter was a very helpful guy. He gave nice recommendations. The restaurant had a nice relaxed vibe, not too much on decor. I would go back here.
Having Celiac disease it's very difficult to find a restaurant that is safe for me. Their menu had several options. Eating gluten-free is not just a thing for me. It is now my way of life. Thank you Taziki's for having such wonderful and tasty options.
Honestly, I don't know what to say other than this has been the worst service at a Cherry Street establishment I've ever experienced. I ordered the ceviche, which was fine as far taste goes, very generic, whatever. As far as I can tell the server completely forgot to ring in my meal, so the other seven people at our table got their fajitas, enchiladas and tamales at the same time but I had to wait an additional 10 plus minutes for the kitchen to push out a pre-made, served-cold dish. I assume the server couldn't trust the kitchen to put out an appetizer as a meal on time and read the ticket properly? I worked as a server and bartender for a decade, I just honestly can't fathom what happened tonight because she didn't seem like she was in the weeds? Other members of the table had their drinks completely forgotten and didn't like their food. I tried their order of steak fajitas and it was flavorless, great cut of beef, just completely unseasoned and zero spice. The ceviche I ordered was the exact ceviche I get at Senor Tequila, good but I think I would rather Senor Tequila given everything else. Honestly the only thing to recommend this place were the mojitos and the strawberry margaritas, which the server couldn't rememberto ring in, so. The sangria was sub-par.
I won't be bringing my husband here with his gluten allergy, absolutely wouldn't trust this place to respect cross contamination protocols.
