Rarely am I ever blown away by a restaurant. The food here is divine, the owner is amazing, the service is 10/10, and the atmosphere makes you feel like home.
This is the perfect date night. Not the mention you can't tell the difference between the gluten free food and the normal options! There's no difference in texture and my mother in law, who often is the victim of gluten contamination, said the food was wonderful and didn't get sick at all!
It's rare for her to visit a restaurant that has truly gluten free menu items, not in just name only.
I love coming here, and it's the first place I take my friends from out of town when they visit.
Ordered through Uber Eats so can’t speak for the restaurant service or atmosphere. The gluten free pizza was AMAZING! My gluten eating husband enjoyed his regular pizza. The pizza’s are all 10 in pizza so a good portion for a personal size.
Review of The Baked Bear
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Baked Bear, and I can't recommend this place enough! From the moment I walked in, the service was exceptionally helpful and friendly, making my experience all the more enjoyable.
One of the standout features of The Baked Bear is their impressive selection of ice cream. With a myriad of flavors to choose from, there’s something for everyone. Plus, they offer a gluten-free menu, which is a fantastic option for those with dietary restrictions.
What I loved most was the ability to create my own ice cream sandwich! You can mix and match cookies and ice cream flavors to craft the perfect sweet treat. The combinations are endless, and the quality of the ingredients truly shines through.
Additionally, the outdoor seating area is a lovely spot to enjoy your dessert, especially on a nice day. It really adds to the overall vibe of the place.
If you're in the mood for something sweet, The Baked Bear is definitely worth a visit. Whether you're treating yourself or looking for a fun outing with friends or family, this ice cream shop has it all. Highly recommended!
Husband & I went for anniversary dinner. He ordered pizza & I had Grilled Salmon Caesar Salad without croutons (gluten allergy). As it was served, waiter said “Caesar without croutons” and that’s what it looked like, until I started eating it and found multiple croutons underneath! The salmon tasted wonderful & was grilled perfectly.
I tried taking out croutons I discovered, but after a few minutes I had a small plate covered! I called waitress who called the manager. He was quick to thoughtfully remake my salad (without croutons). I transfered salmon to top of new salad.
Husbands’s pizza was plenty for 2 meals.
Went to Yukon location at lunch. Great service. Ordered steak cooked medium. Came out very rare. Sent back, came back over cooked. Wife ordered gluten-free pasta. Pasta was crunchy and bland. If the food matched the service, I would recommend.
I was impressed with the manager's prompt acknowledgement of how to prepare Gluten free sandwiches away from, in a separate area, from the main serving counter where gluten crumbs were littered.
Love the atmosphere! The service was excellent and the food was tasty but they do not make burritos with gluten free tortillas, so that's a big let down. The bowls are gluten free yeah, but the portions are so skimpy. The hot sauce was too hot, not enough choices in sauce/salsa. The chips and queso and the guacamole is absolutely delicious though!
Have been several times and purchased several different items and every time it is delicious & a fight over the last bite! Staff is extremely friendly and patient! They offer gluten free but it goes fast.
My wife and I just got home from a week traveling and the first restaurant we headed to was Alfredo's Mexican Cafe - we love the combo fajitas of grilled chicken and shrimp with corn tortillas for the gluten free diet. Yummy 😋
I am gluten free and they have taken their bread and pizza away.. I already have a hard time finding food to eat and this just added to it. PLEAEE bring it back.
This really surprised me. The sandwiches were very large and filling. The prices were a little bit higher than Arby's or a typical fast food place, but not by much. Overall, the food quality, quantity, and drink sizes were awesome. My daughter has Celiac disease and I appreciate the gluten-free options that they have as well.
Whenever my partner and I are craving some nice, local Thai food, Thai Orchid is always on the front of our minds. This place is always a reliable choice for us!
Prior to my partner being diagnosed as a celiac, we got practically the same foods pictured here (with the exception of the Kaeng Phed/Red Curry). It was a rough time at the beginning trying to see which restaurants we could feasibly eat at, and it seemed like all our favorites were no longer going to be the same. However, Thai Orchid has proven time and time again that they can make similar, wonderful dishes with accommodations as needed!
Thai Orchid was still one of our favorite restaurants before, and that has not changed! The staff was able to adjust upon request. This mostly goes for the Gluten-Free Chicken Pad Thai that I usually order, but I like to request this so my partner can enjoy it alongside me.
The food is always incredible and even looking back at these pictures is making me hungry. The Gluten-Free Chicken Pad Thai always comes out hot and fresh. The flavors are comforting, and the portion is filling! For me, I usually got it at a Spice Level 0, but 1 is just perfect for me (who has a lower spice tolerance). Even with the help I get, we are still able to take whatever is left home and that makes a nice meal for another day.
My partner did notice a bit of a difference in the noodles when we first tried it gluten-free, but it was never a negative quality. Texture is quite important for them, but this Pad Thai was still about the same as the original! I can tell they enjoy eating it too as more and more forkfuls get taken off my plate.
I tried the Thai Ice Tea and Thai Ice Coffee before, and both are so good! It tastes as good as beautiful as it looks. Personally, I like the Thai Ice Coffee a bit more, but both are still enjoyable!
My partner usually gets the Kaeng Phed (Red Curry) or Koong Ob Woonsen. Both should be gluten-free by default! They get the Kaeng Phed at a Spice Level of 2 to 3, and the Koong Ob Woonsen at around the same amount. They tried a 4 for the Kaeng Phed and that was too spicy for them, but it probably would be well-suited for someone with an even higher spice tolerance! I appreciated how they were also able to lower the Spice Level for the curry for them.
They told me the good quality is always consistent (which is quite important). The Kaeng Phed has a nice, strong flavor that is complimented by the creamy coconut milk. As for the Koong Ob Woonsen, it is savory with its strong presence of ginger. However, it is not overwhelming! It is notably a wonderful flavor all around.
I have tried some bites of both and the flavor still shines through. Both come with shrimp and it is always so pleasant. The bacon for the Koong Ob Woonsen is cooked just right, and is some of the best I have seen!
We love Thai Orchid! It is great having such a place not far from home. We feel that we always eat good for a reasonable price on our dates.
As a side note, I really appreciated that Thai Orchid updated their Hours on Google Maps after a phone call we had. Both of us were a little unclear of the opening time on Monday before, but we were provided the correct time. Shortly after, it was fixed online!
Great place to have lunch with a friend! We enjoy trying the different sandwiches, we like them all. They have gluten free options. Service is great; they are very nice! It's always clean.
Ordered take out pizza last night. It took almost an hour to get it and when my wife finally got it home, we discovered that both her gluten free buffalo chicken pizza and my regular crust pepperoni pizza had no sauce on them and I had even ordered extra sauce on mine!
We have purchased from this store for the past several years and considered it our pizza place. But last night was the first time I have ever been disappointed and disgusted by the food.
Good Lattes and Frappuccino. Got a Gluten-Free Macaron from the bakery and it was good as well. They had other gluten free options but didn't try them.
Love this place. Meat is super yummy. They even have gluten free options. You can't beat the value. You will spend the same if not more at fried fast food joints, and this is way healthier.
this location is so cozy! love the dark green board & batten, the light wood tones, and the fireplace.
the staff were helpful and cheerful as they helped my husband and I choose our drinks.
I appreciate that it's kid friendly - highchairs and organic juice boxes to keep the toddlers happy.
I didn't try the food this time, but they have a selection of bakery items, including a gluten-free/vegan option.
and the part of review you are probably looking for - the coffee! it was flavorful, and the moon milk is the perfect unique touch!
We had a family get-together here and no one had been here before. You ordered everything at the counter and then they send your phone a text when it is ready. For an appetizer we ordered the Garlic Cheese bread. We also ordered a Gorgonzola and Walnut salad; Mrs. Flip Out really liked the flavors and it was very fresh. I had the Caesar salad and it was good. We ordered 3 pizzas for all of us to share, and they were Dreamland, Charming Beauty, and Imperial. Everyone really enjoyed the pizzas. The Imperial pizza had a gluten free crust and it was good. The only disappointment was the lack of non-alcoholic drinks. Your only option, including water, had to be purchased in single serve bottles. We all felt like ice water or tea in glasses would be a nice option to have. The Flower Shop is definitely better suited for a date night than a large group.
There is a NEW OWNER!! We were so impressed. The restaurant is clean and well lit, The buffet is FULL. The new owners even have gluten free pizza crust! The owners and servers go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. It felt like Chick-Fil-A at times. We will definitely be back.
