Consistently, reliably mids. I have never once had something "delicious" here, but it's never been outright inedible either. It's just consistently meh. If i had another GF option nearby, I'd go there. The dough is often either overly dry (as gluten free tends to be) or overly chewy... definitely needs improvement, especially considering the prices.
This is my go-to spot in Eugene! I love the fresh-squeezed orange juice. The chilaquiles, waffles, biscuits and gravy and salads are all delicious...I haven't worked my way through everything on the menu yet but those are some of my faves. They have a wide variety of baked goods if you're looking for something quick to go. Right by the Amtrak station if you're traveling. If you or someone in your group is vegan, vegetarian or gluten free there are plenty of clearly-labeled options.
5/5 service. Very kind, explained the gluten free procedures and details in length, extremely personable. 5/5 Food. The gluten free bun with chicken was fantastic, and the Rogue River blue cheese with jalapeños were a perfect combo, ingredients also seemed fresh and good quality. The presentation and portion sizes were great, as was the overall value. Definitely going to be a regular stop for me when in Eugene going forward.
Very detailed gluten free menu. Everything was delicious. I was so happy to eat sushi. I also the history is this space. It's very cozy and you can have your own little room.
I was treated very rudely when I mentioned I had celiac disease. She left me to Google some things and walked away annoyed instead of being helpful. The entire place was so smoky from cooking that my hair and clothes smelled the rest of the day. The cocktails were well done although weak for the price. I will not return
Food was amazing and service was exceptional. They had to reschedule my reservation but took care of us with some delicious appetizers. The drinks were well made and the atmosphere was very cozy! It would be nice to see more gluten free and vegan options so that I can bring friends!
The bricks, wood, marble and carpet ground me here. The lighting ducks, whether or not one is neurosensitive in that way. They offer a good gluten-free selection. Basically, the majority of the sauces are gluten-free. You can choose a GF pasta. They use rice flour to bread the chicken which is GF. The sausage is GF and they have two salad dressings that are also GF. Basically, it’s a nice place for a gluten-sensitive person to eat. Also, they offer several wines by the glass for much less than the fashionable $14/glass. Their house is currently $7.50/glass and there are other close options in their decent list of safe options. I recommend and frankly it’s exhausting to eat out easily now this is a nice choice.
Definitely one of the best gems of Eugene! The food is so good but luckily for me, they do have gluten friendly pasta options. My husband got the salmon ravioli and loved it!
We also grabbed a caprese salad!
The service was incredible and the atmosphere so welcoming. We will certainly be back!
Delicious fresh plates always leave me feeling full and happy. I love their Chicken teriyaki bowl, onigiri, and Pork belly sando with the option of a gluten free bun. They also make their own pickles which come as a delicious side! Don’t sleep on this delicious local gem.
Burger was amazing. Gluten free friendly. Prices were very reasonable.
But I'm removing a star if the Ducks lose.
Kidding. But this is a good place for game day.
We made reservations for a patio seat which had to be moved inside due to rain (PNW style). We sat in a room toward the back of the restaurant and the temperature was very warm. I had to take a break during my meal to stand outside in order to cool off. A fan in the back of the restaurant would do a lot for ventilation. I can’t imagine how the serving staff felt.
The food was good. I had a vegetable soup followed by steak with mashed potatoes, carrots, and green beans with chimichurri (they ran out of the cut listed on the menu so had a substitute available) which was decent. The cut was a little fibrous but the flavors were good and it was cooked medium rare as ordered. My husband had lamb meatballs then falafel which he enjoyed. The wine list by the glass was minimal but sufficient. Dessert menu was good. They were able to work with my dietary restrictions (gluten free, I appreciate the irony considering the name of the restaurant) and I felt safe eating there. The server was busy but attentive. Overall it was a good experience.
They deserve more stars. The food and drinks were all top notch. They were gluten free and vegan friendly. They even made adjustments where needed to support my allergies. Our server, Tiffany, really made the experience too. She had quick, great suggestions upon hearing it was our first time there. She was clearly staying cool headed and friendly while juggling a lot of things. She almost seemed like a mind reader at times. Thank you so much.
I've been so excited about trying this place that was admittedly a little nervous it wouldn't live up to the expectations I'd built in my mind. Oh boy, did they come through. Their gluten free bread is some of the best I've ever had from a restaurant. The vegan meatballs were really satisfying. And I love the tang and colors in the coleslaw. You should also try the hibiscus drink. Very tasty. This may be our new Friday lunch tradition.
