Needed a last minute gluten free cake for my mother's birthday and Always Original Bakery came through for us! We were able to get a 6 inch cake ($32) that feeds 6 along with 1/2 dozen cupcakes. Everything tasted great!
You can get a 1/2 sheet cake or a full sheet cake, but you do need to order that in advance.
This is the best spot to go for breakfast food. I love just about everything. My friend is gluten free and she has options here outside of just salad. It's great for a lunch date. Have the BLT, the bacon is nitrate free!
Cute store next to Moe's. Lot's of yummy cupcakes and desserts. Even have gluten free cupcakes and cookies! Very friendly service. Plenty of free parking.
The salad bar was empty on most items and the lettuce was browning.... but iceberg will do that in 2 hours. There used to be an array of cheeses and meat to choose from, this time there was only ham, and only 2 cheeses. Server Michael was great. Prices have gone up exponentially. 2 years ago a chicken sandwich with gluten free bun was $10-$11, this year it is $14-$16 without a drink. The selections have diminished and the portions also shrank, but the food was good.
It was the worst experience I ever had at Firehouse Sub!
The cashier (Sommer) and the African American woman ( None of the employees had name tags so I don't know their names, I just know the cashier as it says it on the receipt) had been really rude... I had to order it 3x times over to get it corrected. I had to repeat myself over and over that I wanted to please get a smoked brisket sandwich with gluten-free bread and one medium club on sub with white bread.
Sommer the cashier was not present with me in the moment of ordering. I have to keep repeating myself over and over because she could not hear me or would not listen to me?
I ordered two medium sandwiches, and somehow, one was put on the bill as small? She took the 1st receipt and gave me another one which was supposed to be the correct one.
She offered only 2 different kinds of bread, white or wheat... after 10 seconds, I realized that I could order gluten-free bread, so I asked if I could please have a sandwich to be made with gluten-free bread. It was a big ordeal, and I wasted a lot of my time to fix it.
On top of that, the African American woman who was dealing with me pointed her finger with a pen in my face, I asked her not to do that. She continued to display no care.
After the 2nd time ordering, in the washroom , I checked the receipt to find out that both sandwiches were gluten-free.... So I had to fix it again for the 3rd time.
This time, when I returned, the African American woman was very rude... After I tried to inform her that was the incorrect order, she yelled at me, "Now you gotta wait in the line again,"
She made so uncomfortable and embarrassed by her yelling!
I want to thank the owner for being so nice to all vendors for craft show today. Second what an outstanding business they have the best food ever the build your own Mac and cheese bowl extremely delicious. But the sandwiches are extremely delicious. What a great place they have vegan and gluten free options what a great place we will certainly be back. It is also wheelchair accessible.
Delicious food, helpful and kind service. Several options of meats, sides, and sauces. I am celiac and dairy free and had no issues with the meats (sausage is not dairy free) or sauces—just ask they were helpful to answer me what I could and shouldn’t get. (They label the sauces as “vegan/vegetarian” and “gluten free” on the menu which is helpful.) There are limited hours and long lines so don’t expect to be sitting right away, but the assembly line does go quick, they work hard and it shows! 5/5 stars from me and my husband!
